Good CF card for a good price! I use it with a Canon30D and it works great in all circumstances! I loved it so significantly I purchased a 2nd one. See other thoughts. The transfer time to computer appears a bit slow. I'm using a USB 2. card reader, and it nonetheless requires about 10 minutes to transfer a full card. I'm not sure if it's the card itself or the reader, I'm getting a new reader to uncover out.

Fast study access for an unbeatible price! Can't beat the lifetime warranty on the Transcend flash memory solutions I uncover the write speed to be on the slow side compared to my Sandisk Ultra II and Ridata 80x ...but did not care to troubleshoot it further. I had brought this to upgrade the CF in my Garmin 2620 GPS. The MagicStor two.2GB CFII tough-drive primarily based storage that came with the GPS is a bit flaky in the winter and this card is best replacement with quickly read speed which created the GPS boot quickly. I don't care about the slower create speed with this card mainly because I only require to transfer the read only maps as soon as. Maybe I'll save the throughput speed test when I buy another Transcend memory card for my camera.

Fantastic value, excellent overall performance. I use it as a backup card, but cannot tell any significant difference in create speeds from my SanDisk Extreme III 4GB card that is applied primarily in my Canon 40D. None Unless you are needing to shoot continuous digital images at a higher res, this card must be fine for 80% of all users.

The CF operates OK and is quick (I use them for flash disks on embedded Linux systems). I've almost certainly bought more than a hundred of these and have not had a failure. The packaging is terrible, even unsafe. If one is not very careful it appears that it could cause deep cuts and draw a lot of blood. I went out and purchased some industrial shears in order to reduce open the packaging. There is such a thick wad of paper inside the plastic shell that mere scissors can not reduce the plastic safely.

Worked appropriate away with my now outdated Fuji Finepix S602Zoom camera. Can now shop a big quantity of pictures and a very good deal of video. Have knowledgeable file corruption already a few instances, kinda disappointing with how rarely I use the camera.. but it has been nothing main.. yet. For the value I am nevertheless satisfied with this solution, however I am waiting to see if the information corruption becomes a additional noticeable challenge.

Works. Can set up Win XP Pro on it. Lots of space for the cost. Extremely slow. I really should have performed far more analysis ahead of time. Took hours to set up XP on this. Running this in a smaller desktop that I was utilizing as a music streamer. I used a Syba adapter to implement this as an internal drive. Has worked well, but if I were to do it again, I would get a quicker 4 GB card.

For the price tag it's wonderful, I use it in my d2h for when I am just fooling around or with personal work - for paid operate I only use lexar, but that's since I'm paranoid. That may well adjust although, considering that I've had additional failures with lexar than Transcend None for the price, maybe a tad slow with 8fps and raw Buy it, quite a few

I bought three of these chips for the MP3 player in my Infiniti G37. They work good. Absolutely rapid adequate for my application. Not a thing I would score these chips down for, but they come with a FAT16 partition. That caused me to think the initial one wasn’t operating when I attempted to copy 1.7GB of MP3s to it. My rig hiccupped when it got close to 512MB. Lucky for me and this evaluation, I had 2 other chips that did the similar point. So, I figured it was me and not Transcend. A speedy re-format to FAT32 and almost everything works fantastic. BTW, right after reading each evaluation on these chips right here at Newegg, my guess is that some of the unfavorable reviews could have had the very same root lead to and hence remedy. Transcend should format them FAT32 at the factory. My G37, which is a quite nice set of wheels EXCEPT for the digital music system, came from Japan with just about every additional Infiniti puts in cars. The vehicle has a “Music Box”, a ㅂGB tough drive, which can only be loaded by ripping Audio CDs into it. How dumb is that? It also has a Compact Flash slot enabling it to read MP3s from CF chips, BUT that capability is limited to 2GB or 512 files whichever comes initial (hence I’m getting 2GB chips). Why would Nissan USA put such silly limits on the sound systems of its higher-finish vehicles? The answer might lay in the fact that it also has a native iPod interface. My cowboy preference is for MP3s with no DRM. Just saying.

Card did precisely what I needed it to do: Install in an IDE/CF adapter and set up a bootable Operating Process. At least as rapidly as a standard PATA challenging drive. Price tag was a little steep for a little 2GB card, but these aren't just for photographers anymore, and there are a lot a particular objective OS'es out there that use a incredibly tiny footprint, like GeeXboX, FreeNAS, DSL, and so forth... I am employing this card to boot my GeeXboX 1.2.three. It works extremely effectively. Out of the box, I had to delete the old FAT16 partition, but the partition utility repartitioned the card properly with out any hassle. For the curious, I am working with a SYBA SD-CF-IDE-A IDE to Compact Flash Adapter - Retail Item #: N82E16822998002 with this CF card.

Affordable and appear to operate fine...........in the starting. Purchased two of these cards just for added storage for my trip to Nevada. I utilised canon 5d have 1GB Kingston card for two years and Sandisk 4GB for handful of months. No single problem with them ever. But one of my Transcend card failed with the most important photos prior to I even got the possibility to download the pictures to my laptop the same day. I feel I utilised this card twice prior to it died on me. I read the evaluations, and heard about men and women complaining of the cheaper cards going poor, but somehow I didn't assume it will happen to me. Boy was I incorrect.

My Olympus C-5050 would not accept an xD card larger than 512mb. Given that it also has a CF slot, I tried this 2gb CF and it functions perfectly. Saving photographs is twice as quick as saving to the xD card. Absolutely fantastic CF to extend the handy life of my camera. none.

affordable, great for common use. a bit slow for the claimed 133X speed. I also have a Sandisk 2gb Ultra II (supposedly 60X speed?) and it can transfer files more rapidly than this 133X card (direct transfer from a Canon 30D). But not by substantially although (a few seconds per 100Mb of transfered files). For the cost, it's still a incredibly great deal.

This card can write as fast as the 40D can send to it. The price tag of Transcend CF cards fly in the face of you get what you pay for. I paid ฟ.99 here at Newegg and with a lifetime warranty you can't beat that. Add Newegg's shipping speed and charges, and this item is winner - hands down. Nothing to not like about this 2GB CF card.
