tough, light weight, and - so far -- reliable. We downloaded 18 hours of HD video from our documentary shoot in remote part of Cambodia. Weight, reliability & toughness were real issues. Made 3 copies without problems. Highly recommended. |

I purchased a mobile hard drive for multiple reasons. The crucial reason was to have my media in 2 separate locations in case one decided to crash. The icing on the cake is that I will have all of my music, movies, and pictures with me when I travel without sacrificing hard drive space and resources on my not-so-robust netbook. The durability, price, and design of this hard drive is what tipped me to choose it over similar products (I literally did hours of research!!). I'm very happy with my choice. The software that comes with it is useful, but not necessary. I also take the hard drive back and forth between work and home and run portable applications from it so as not to clutter my work computer with personal stuff. This item is like a thumbdrive on steroids. No regrets with this purchase :o) |

All in all a good external HD. I purchased several for operations in my place of business and have been using for about 2 months now. Works for what I need it for (data storage and mobility). Rubberized coating helps keep in from slipping off the designated area I keep it on and the USB cable does not need both ends plugged in to operate (another review said you have to) as long as you are using USB 2.0 or better. I am very demanding and abusive of my externals this one seems to be able to stand the test, so far |

I'm pretty hard on my stuff, thats why I got this hard drive. So far its worked great. Keep in mind that it needs two usb ports to work correctly. Good product. |
This is a small external hard drive that is powered through USB and does not require an AC plug in to power the device. Very sturdy hard drive and I will definitely purchase another. I've had my current one for almost a year now and it still works great.
