I bought this product mainly for dependability. The drive works as advertised. The boot is definetely faster and programs load faster. I installed XP Pro and it runs just fine. I also run circuit design and simulation software off this drive and notice a definite improvement. |

This drive is really quick! Though I would not recommend trying to install XP or Vista, I'm running it on the Release Candidate of Windows 7 (which includes optimizations for SDD's) and it is fast. When I ran the experience index for the system, the drive speed scored a 5.9 which was far higher than any other component. The only down side is the relatively high price of solid state drives. |

I had been wanting to try a Solid State Hard Drive since they were first offered. The thought of having a drive with no heads, or high speed motor, and virtually no seek time really appealed to me. When mine came and my computer could not see it I was disappointed. I contacted Tiger Direct support and got a replacement with no hassle. This one was recognized by my computer and reformatted easily. With the operating system and all my applications installed I am now using it full time and am pleased with the results. I have to agree with the product review that I read before purchasing this hard drive. It seems to be a little faster running applications but nothing to write home about. But I didn't buy it for speed, but for its dependability. There are simply no moving parts. |

Nice! It just works. I thought it would be blazing fast and it's not but boots are fast programs run fast, it's just makes the machine all around quicker. It's odd to turn on the machine and hear nothing lol I bought it just to try but I'll get another when the price comes down a little. |
I like this drive, especially that it makes no noise. It is fast, but not as fast as I had hoped for, some of the reviews are perhaps a little 'over-excited'. When the price comes down, my rating of the value would go up, I understand the economics of scale, but I'm sure that the unit price of a planned run should be the same unit price as a completed run, so the price should be much lower from the beginning. But I still recommend this 'drive'.
