- Uncomplicated setup- Flawlessly connects/reconnects to network if interupted (moving to a different room, etc.)- Works with no troubles wireless w/ WPA-PSK - Technique date/time keeps reseting at random- Not attainable to alter automated image output filename (i.e. to make pictures save more than eachother.)- No way to hack web server that I can see (to change port, tweak interface, etc.)- User configuration is fairly useless. No way to allow true guest access (can make a guest account, but nevertheless requires login credentials.)- Tech assistance never ever named me back This cam works quite nicely and is dependable, but I'm seeking for a tiny far more. 1st of all, it's not compatible with my Synology NAS for some purpose, even though other related TrendNET models are. I've had no luck embedding the MJPEG output in a html page, although I suppose I could be doing one thing wrong. The mjpeg.cgi output just doesn't look to be working with any streaming applications, and tech assistance didn't seriously get me anyplace (and then never ever returned my call.) I'm going to spring for the Tv-IP422W; additional pricey, but possibly what I want is just out of this cost range. If you just want to stream video wirelessly, and don't mind only getting able to do it by way of their net interface/SecureView software program - this is for you; it's ideal.

Decent camera when you catch it on sale for ์ or less. 640x480 resolution with 30 fps. Operates with Zoneminder. It's been on 24 hrs for nearly three weeks and has not crashed below 64-bit WEP (although 64-bit WEP is not the greatest security, my old Netgear WGT624 does not manage 128-bit WEP or WPA nicely). Poor picture high quality with any lighting dimmer than vibrant sunlight. Could not switch to reduce resolutions with Zoneminder. Default IP address is 192.168.10.30. If the camera's hardware or software program was able to detect or let me enter my household router's default gateway IP address and automatically change it on the camera, I wouldn't need to have to do the ten steps in the Other Thoughts section. Did not use supplied setup software due to earlier negative knowledge with the computer software on the wired model. Each wired and wireless models of this camera are operating devoid of a hitch under my current setup. This is how I did it. 1) Dug out my old Linksys BEFSR41 router. Reset it to the factory default settings. 2) Connected my laptop to the router with cat-five cable. 3) Logged in to router using IE and router's default IP address http:/롘.168.1.1 (other routers have diverse default IP addresses). 4) Changed router IP address to 192.168.ten.1 5) Closed IE, proper clicked on Neighborhood Area Connection icon on Windows XP taskbar, and clicked Repair. 6) Connected camera to router with cat-five cable. 7) Logged in to camera working with IE and http:/롘.168.ten.30 eight) Changed camera IP address to a static IP of 192.168..250 and default gateway to 192.168..1 (Netgear's default router IP address). 9) Unplugged camera's cat-5 cable and moved camera to a different room about 30 ft away. ten) Using pc connected to my house network beneath the Netgear router, I accessed the camera with IE and http:/롘.168..250

Awesome! I got 4 of these for our church. The first two are on opposite side of the sanctuary, about 60'-75' from the wireless router and they work completely. The other two are in an workplace and the entrance of the church about 40'-50' from the router, they have 2 walls (with steel studs) to go by way of and they disconnect every single now and then, but they come back on and maintain recording To get facial recognition you require the camera about 10' away, 15 max, any further and you only going to see the basic fuzzy shape of a particular person. When cameras disconnect from router you may possibly have to go in and manually reset the time and date. Motion Sensors are amazingly amazing! Connected to WEP, WPA, and WPA2 just fine no challenges.

Effortless setup - menu is straight forward and I had password, ip address and wifi w/ wpa2 setup in ten minutes. Video does not retain frame rate at high resolution. Even immediately after lowering from 24 to 18 to 15 fps, it's additional like 1 frame every single three secs. Net/java view and setup very slow - you have to be patient when generating adjustments, just wait ten-20 seconds for the web page to refresh. This camera would be wonderful if it did the video speed/resolution that it claims it can do. The viewing sw is not uncomplicated to navigate. Buttons don't make sense and difficult to inform which ones are applicable (i.e. greyed out or readily available).I believe the D-Hyperlink DCS-G900 is a greater camera, also terrible it's not offered.

Cheap, tiny, and usable IP camera. The motion sensor plus email notification and ftp uploads of images is very helpful. The image high quality is more than satisfactory for use at distances of 20 feet or so. Most of the setup is uncomplicated if you have some expertise of networking, except for the e-mail and ftp setup. The SMTP and FTP server address Have to be in xxx.xx.xx.xxx format. NO incoming.mail.com type entries. This is not stated anywhere in the manual nor in the support section of TrendNet website. It does not upload video to ftp, only photos. There is no way to have motion sensor trigger a video recording (only photos). Nor is there any way to save it to a NAS (photos or video) with out a computer in between.

Wonderful item. Excellent value. The computer software incorporated is highly effective adequate to make this a complete home alarm technique.Tech assistance in fact responds and assists. I haven't seen this good of help in a lengthy time. None. You can configure it to send you an e-mail if there's is movement in a certain spot on the screen. On Yahoo I forward that e mail to my cell phone, so if anyone comes into my residence, I get a text message about it, plus an FTP upload of all the activity. A 3x5 card in front of the lens shuts it off, and removing the card, sets the alarm. So easy

Simple to setup and interface is effortless to fully grasp. Firmware update works properly. Setting unit for wireless operation with my Cisco access point employing WPA worked fine. Camera locks up or becomes increasingly unresponsive in a brief period of time. This would be a great unit if it was steady and didn't call for daily rebooting. Getting to reboot unit typically makes it pretty a lot useless. I'll in all probability finish up returning unit for a different brand.

The camera elements works fine, specifically following adjustment for contrast. The camera presents as a internet web page (port 80) and is also controlled by a non-window program called SecurView. SecurView coordinates various cameras and has big prospective if only... ...if only SecurView wasn't so deplorably weak. It really should be a web based application appropriate for deployment on a remote server, with vnc or some related safe service. It really should permit advanced mailing features (including mailing video clips). It need to have an IM or phone message alert. It should bear in mind how to reconnect to my camera. It doesn't. SecurView is not even intuitive to use. This is an entry level machine and I hope their far more advanced machines (with bidirectional voice, flash interface and evening vision) have superior software program support. With such a weak piece of software trendnet are truly letting themselves down due to the fact the camera itself is wonderful value.

Low price tag for a wireless cam, motion detection that is quite trusted This camera locks up at least when every single two weeks. You can not assign a filename to files that are FTP'd to your server. Trendnet set up the file names so they have date and time separated by "/" and my IPs server recognizes these as directory structures. Files cannot be over written. Trendnet tech assistance says that these filenames work with their server. The trouble is that they need to have to work with my server and your server. I don't want to function with thousands of files mainly because just about every file has a distinctive time in the filename. I just want to assign a filename that gets uploaded each and every time and over writes the prior file. I could inform them how to style a far better camera. Trendnet's older Television-IP100W camera is totally reliable has the characteristics I need, except for motion detection, and runs flawlessly for years. Mine are working for more than two years now.

it performs... for about a minute MJPEG stream is only accessible by means of their Java client which hogs your CPUhangs day-to-day (I take that back, now it hangs soon after only a minute) when making use of wifi with WPA or WPA2study my summary below for all the particulars on why you need to *NOT* acquire this camera This is my second TRENDnet Tv-IP110W. My first camera was purchased over a year ago and expected weekly, often every day rebooting. Last week the camera started to hang immediately after just a handful of minutes (doesn't respond to pings, even the blinking LED stops) so I mistakenly thought the camera had died. Not wanting to wait for an RMA replacement I swiftly purchased a replacement from newegg, which also hangs immediately after a few minutes. I even upgraded the firmware to v1...89 and it still hangs. I had WPA2 safety enabled and decided to decrease it to WPA but it didn't enable (I will *not* go reduced than WPA). I even went as far as to purchase a Trendnet TEW 632-BRP router and it behaved precisely the similar as my Dlink WBR-2310 (note the Dlink worked fantastic with all my other wifi devices). In summary, I changed security settings, firmware, routers and even purchased a replacement Television-IP110W and the camera Nonetheless HANGS!Do *NOT* get the Tv-IP110W unless you get pleasure from wasting your time! Price was fantastic, ุ for wireless/wired camera Image top quality was poor, but about what I anticipatedWireless was weak. Worked okay when I was setting it up and testing areas of where I had planned on placing it. Mounted the camera and it would under no circumstances connect. Other devices detected a wireless signal from very same spot.In the course of testing, the video feed would freeze. Following about a minute, it would resume. This was consistently happening about every single five-ten minutes. Right after reading some of the poor critiques, I decided to take my probabilities because the camera was on sale. I purchased it to hold watch more than my residence through construction. Given that I was leaving on a trip the next day, I gave in and decided to just run an ethernet cable to the camera. Just before I began I heard a pop and smelled one thing coming from the camera. It under no circumstances worked once more.

ุ, does what you paid for.Wireless works, no drops/reboots, stable. Remote access through TRENDnet net app works, but slow (given you’ll be working with an external app anyway). Didn’t even bother on bundled software program, making use of webcamXP with movement detecting – set up to sends email alerts, records video locally and upload stills to my smartphone. Continuing experimenting/testing on what software package/cam can do. Resolution ุ worth, a lot more than adequate for intended good-light/static-viewing purposes. Looks decent, white not blue like several other Trendnet merchandiseComes with almost everything you will needDecent, flexible interfaceWPA2 help, good range Video excellent and speed is not excellent. You can select FPS, up to 30, but I see no difference among 5 and 30 fps. It is particularly slow over wired or wireless. I own the older Tv-IP100W model and the video good quality and speed is significantly superior at the very same resolution. The mount is sort of flimsy. Tv-IP100W is superior but does not assistance WPA2 .. if you don't care about that, go with that model.

Reputable, incredibly superior picture excellent performs good more than the online through its server. Had a small difficulty at initially with wireless but found out it was brought on by my wireless sound system which was sitting next to the camera. Moved camera away from sound program and no further trouble. A little hard to concentrate as the lens ring is smaller and my hands get in the way I also have four-TVIP410W Pan and tilt cameras in service and they have incredibly good HI res video. They run 24ǝ as a property safety system.

I was able to setup a ProFTPD server and have the camera upload video to it whilst wired. Did not call for any application apart from what was built-in to the camera to do so. Picture good quality is ok for the value. Wireless was quite unreliable and was unable to remain connected to my wireless access point. I tried using a slower WRT54G rather of my D-Link DIR-825, tried WEP/WPA/WPA2 and each AES/TKIP. Nothing worked. I at some point utilized the wired port, which worked considerably superior, but I had purchased the camera to make use of its wireless aspect. Excellent if you want a camera that can upload to an ftp server, but if you're searching for a camera that works over wi-fi you may well want to take into account a different TRENDNet model. I operate as a hardware technician and operate my own linux based server, so I have a fair understanding of troubleshooting troubles. This one particular stumped me.

Excellent price, superb Trendnet web support. Multi level user based permisions. Remote wireless stand alone webserver style accessible video device with upgradable standard antenna connector for extreme remote placement for energy installers. Won't function for remote FTP publishing of a net-cam (single filename) image, but neither will all but a single other brand at the time of this evaluation. FTP issues (would by no means upload timer or motion based effectively period and hardly ever logged even trying. FTP test reported ok, tried a number of accounts & account settings. Never say by no means but don't think it's me. Possibly just this one unit, my luck. Tried upgrading firmware, no dif.) Other brands FTP fine and this does anything else it says it will video wise. For our requirement we went back to the a single camera manufacturer right here that does have timer style single image FTP based features. (after spending substantially $ attempting for one thing diverse) Oddly this straightforward feature is still 1 brands turf even 5 years later after it's predecessor set in the sun 24ǝ뤅 lens baking and lastly got too blurry. Be conscious "filename prefix" appears to mean /subdirectory/ if you use that but that was not the repair to FTP woes. Forums are complete of webmasters begging for this straightforward a single filename based cam function so possibly future firmware will address it right here to. We begged a static IP for the Festival here and will use this plus port feature for a stand alone public live video device(s). Price tag is right for just that 1 function alone. Unfortunately even public access will need at least a username logon to view. Boring to retain buying the identical point yet again and again but in the end that is the only remedy found elsewhere right here on Newegg.com to replacing the one particular I had. Seriously straightforward to set up, no glitches, excellent excellent, wireless really work! The included computer software is wonderful and a superior tool than the offered on the camera. Storage hog! I purchased a 500gb Hd w/ this and it requires up 500mb every single half hour with the highest excellent settings :(. Also some attributes such as the motion detect are dificult to set, and will not work with linux easily. A good 4, the only lacking is tiny linux assistance and is a storage hog.

Low-cost. Image good quality is on par with your average affordable wired USB webcam. Everything else is a con. The wireless connection was lost right after 20 minutes on the initial run, and then under no circumstances stayed connected much more than a couple of seconds after that with out a reboot. I purchased 5 of these Television-IP110W for a linux based house surveillance program and none of them perform correctly. They seem to be far more stable with an ethernet connection, but the wireless is horrible and won't stay connected. I've tried it with two unique model Linksys routers with WPA2 encryption. It's basically impractical to go running about to five different cameras and unplugging and replugging them in hopes that a power cycle will get them reconnected, which by the way doesn't perform. The firmware version as of 8-23-ten is the newest version, v.1.1..93. Stay away from this model if you require a wireless network camera.

It's largely a toy or for limited utilizes, like watching animals outside. I wouldn't truly have my residence security based on it. Image excellent is mediocre with sunlight but genuinely poor in the evening or night, even with a light on. E mail function does not function with e mail solutions (gmail, for instance) that requires SSL for logging in.Internet interface is clunky and non-elegant. Contemplate putting it on a lamp timer so it gets rebooted each and every so often, in case it takes place to lock up. If it's on sale and is affordable sufficient, it's in all probability ok to mess with for enjoyable.
