Cons: had one stick die on me

Pros: fastdo not over heatoverclockable
Comment:
i bought these sticks to replace my old patriot 6400. i can say i did not notice to much change but i did notice some. there was even a change in performance in 3Dmark, only 300points but thats still impressive. i've taken these sticks out a number of times right after my computer was turned off and i can say that they are just 'warm' to the touch and are never hot. the people at corsair are great, one of my sticks died on me for some reason so i sent it back and they sent me a brand new package with 2 full sticks!! i was very pleased and will purchase again.

Sorry! We do not accept web links, the names of specific companies or special characters in our product reviews. Please edit your review and try again. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS. There are company names in them, including the maker of my motherboard. Unfortunately, this vendor will not let me tell you what configuration that this memory is working extremely well with. I am so happy with the memory I am buying another pair, but not from this vendor the reason should be obvious. Plus, I found a better deal in a large tropical river. If you want me to write a review, don't reject it after I spent my time writing an accurate and tactful account of my experience and its context, without being specific about what is objectionable.

I bought these with a Q8200 quad core and a 64 bit copy of Windows 7. I needed a little more than 2 gig of memory with all of the applications that I run. So far there are no problems and it's actually running stable with the FSB OC'd at 1200mhz with everything stock. Don't know how long that will last but when I get my tax return, I am building a i7 system anyways.:-P

I made the upgrade from WinXP 32bit to Windows 7 64 bit. Was already running 2 x 1024MB of PC 8500 Corsair Dominator PC8500. This put me up to 6GB of RAM and the difference is very noticeable. It was worth the price, very good, very reliable.

Ran for 5 days and then all sort of strange things started happening (and YES, the RAM maker and my MoBo maker said this RAM would work), RMA'd it after the holidays and they said ship it back, now I'm waiting for an exchange, I still say this product is great and so is this company.

This RAM is aweome for any machine. I finally upgraded from Corsair Dominator PC6400 DDR2 800 MHz (2x1024) to these and let me tell you what a world of difference. And together with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, I can't wait to get another 4GB. There is just no comparison to what I once had, Corsair has never let me down, it unfortunate that some people have received DOA chips, I personnally have never had any issues.

One of the sticks was DOA, great quality, Corsair. TigerDirect made me go through warranty support instead of just freaking exchanging it. One more customer lost, TigerDirect. Or CompUSA, or Circuit City, or whomever you are today.

Solid fast RAM. Does it's job and does it good. Only beef is when I got my first set of this RAM it was half this price, but that's the marketplace for you. Even saying that I still went with this instead of another, and it combined with the first set of 4GB makes my machine run quite smoothly.

I purchased this ram based on reviews and reports. However, I purchased this ram along with a ASUS M4N78 Motherboard. The ram did not work with this, even though I flashed the bios. The motherboard would only take one stick of ram. I went to the 800 Mhz ram instead and that works perfect. This may be wonderful ram, but check to see if it will work with your motherboard. The ASUS web site claims that this ram works with my motherboard, but it doesn't for me.

This is the ALMIGHTY FAST ram you want if you know how to overclock it to utilize the full 1066MHz. It is very easy to do in your BIOS if you use Asus motherboards. Set the CAS to 5-5-5-15 and the voltage to 2.1v and your good to go at 1066MHz. My Windows 7 memory score went from 6.5 to 7.0 just by using 4MB of this ram vs. Super Talent ram. What a difference. And all my games such as COD Modern Warfare2 and Crysis are seamless at the highest settings now. I definately recommend this RAM to everyone I talk to. I also run a Intel e8400 CPU, PNY GTX260 Video Card and Asus P5Q Deluxe mobo with a xigmatech CPU Cooler. Try the Corsair Dominator PC2-8500 RAM for some real performance, you won't be sorry. Yes, it cost a bit more but you get what you pay for. And Corsair's Tech Support is second to none.

When the ram did run it was fast. After one month it would crash windows, memtest showed thousands of errors, RMA was easy it has a lifetime warranty. When I bought this in early July 09 it was LESS THAN HALF the price it is now (Nov 09). I paid around 120$ for 8 Gigs. Now the 4 gig price is 160$.

Cons: - doesn't OC very well

Pros: - best cooler around- runs very stable- looks badass
Comment:
I am fairly satisfied with these RAM sticks. They run 1:1 at 942MHz rock solid. They don't overclock too well but that is also a result of my boards RAM dividers (next jump up is ~1150MHz). The height of the heatsinks may be an issue for some running large CPU heatsink and fan configurations. However I can say that they will fit with a Prolimatech Megahalems with 38mm Panaflo fan and also a vertically mounted Scythe Mugen 2 with a 38mm fan.

Been running this RAM several months now (well broken in) on an Asus M3N78-VM mobo @ 1066 dual channel mode. No issues, good ram. This particular ASUS board is confusing to set VDIMM for 1066 operation, but that is ASUS BIOS shortcoming, not Corsair.

GREAT RAM! Just really tall. If you have a Ultra ChillTEC or something its size your going to have to change the direction of the cooler like i did so the fan is facing down, but a bad thing with that is now the fan is sucking in all the hot air from my video card. Its not that bad tho my Q9660 OC'd to 4ghz doesnt get hotter than 40C
