From the start I really like this power supply. The only thing that surprised me was how hot the air was coming out of the back of my case- just a warning for those who have thier cases inside of your desk. The only thing that Ultra could have done better was find a way to add a way to use water cooling to the power system. |

i had the ultra x3 previosely and the fan went in it i emailed ultra and in 10 day they sent me the ultra x4 1050. the customer service is awesome the warrenty is life time and after a month of gaming and recoding video i gotta say this is a really good power supply probably the best one i have used yet. it powers the following hardware with ease, Asus Crosshair III mobo, amd phenom II x4 965 Black Edition cpu, 8gb Mushkin xp3 12800 blackline ddr3 memory, 2 x Asus radeon 5850 1gb gddr5, 2x500gb and 1tb western digital cavair black hard drives. 2 x sony dvd borners with 3 230mm fans a 140 mm fan and the cooler master v8 cpu cooler. it performs. |

I previously had the X3 1000 watt power supply, that died so I contacted Ultra, they immediately sent me a new power supply. It was the best customer service I have ever had from a large company. I received the X4 1050 watt power supply in the mail. I was very surprised, it is smaller, lighter and cooler (temperature). There is a lot more space in my computer now, compared to when I had the X3 in there. I have had this power supply for about 2 weeks now, and all of my problems that I had been having are fixed now. The modular cable system is nice to prevent clutter in the case and allow more air flow. I'd recommend this power supply to anyone. |

If you are reading this then you have stumbled to the single greatest PSU money can buy. This 1050 can handle even the greatest of 3 way CFX. I don't have anything to say that isn't wonderful. I am so happy I went with this, I read for weeks people telling me that 600-700 watts is way more than I need, but you got to think about AMPS, Enough PCIe's, Wattage!! |

Great design, looks sweet, nice dark gray black color scheme, and the performance is excellent as I expected. Only thing I'll say about modular power supplies in general is that they aren't necessarily going to give you the cleanest look, depending on your case, as I have found. I'm using a large case, which has plenty of room to hide all the power supply cables behind the motherboard in its false wall. In this case, a non modular power supply is a cleaner look, as all the cables come out of one small spot in the back corner of the power supply, and are easily tucked away and hidden. With a modular power supply, the cables are spread out over the entire face of the power supply, so you actually see more of the bulk of the wires. So if your case can hide the wires, go non modular. If your case will have all the wires exposed, then go modular to cut down on the total number or cables you see. That is if you want the cleanest look. |

This is a very electrically competent design. Starting with the fact that it is a single 76amp rail. When setting my vcore to 1.15, it reports a steady 1.13 in windows, with absolutley no fluctuation. Same when i change it to say 1.25... constantly reports just .02 under what i tell it to, with no fluctuation. Talk about stable voltage output. Same with the 3.3, 5, and 12v. ZERO FLUCTUATION. Quiet. Cables are great, nice plain black sleeving, and more than enough of them, and enough lengthto put anything you've got in your computer. Even routing behind the MB tray was very easily possible for most cables. |
This is THE power supply to have. It has everything you want with enough horsepower to get the job done! The only feature I wish Ultra would have included in this package are the flex-force cables instead of the bigger bulkier ones. But not to worry, the cables still fit nicely inside a machine.
