hard to use modular plugs and seems to only run 60 amps while others seem to run 70 amps. Other than those few details seems to be strong runner and quit as a mouse when running.

First off reason why I didn't score 5 across, but this shouldn't deter you from purchasing, just setting expectations and in hopes some issues resolved. First Quality, I received one dead on arrival. I believe this was a mix up in logistics as the packaging seemed to have been opened before and was shipped a product that might have been RMA'd, I'm guessing a mix up at the warehouse, but not due to a dead new product. Secondly Value of product, I believe that the product is priced way higher then it should be, for the features and quality of build I'd say its fair to price 50 less then what it is compared to others of its kind. Besides these two points that I even scored at 4 stars the PSU is great and it rocks my system. I had an original 500w X-Connect or X1 series PSU that I've used for 5years with no issues compared to other brands that fried within the first year! I'm still using it in another system but needed more power and amp

So just know that it is good, but the leads could be longer for certain connections, and certain one's could be a better choice in the type of connector.

Positives: The power supply is attractive and the modular design is nice. The well made storage case for the extra cables is a nice extra. Ultra's customer service is fantastic. Negatives: Two of these units have died on me within a 3 month time span. One unit went out with a loud buzz and bright blue flash. Another unit died during the night while idle. As much as I want to like this PSU because of the nice design and Ultra's great customer service, I will never put another Ultra PSU in a computer I build. I was lucky that no components were harmed when these PSUs failed, but I'm not willing to risk it again. I work in the computer industry and have built or repaired many computers. After having three Ultra PSUs fail on me in less than two years (two of those being this model), I have lost my faith. I now have another manufacturer's PSU in my computer and it has been running flawlessly for a while now.

It's dead It lasted 2 months and now manufacturer wants to charge me for a new one before they will replace it So I have to tie up 200 for 3 weeks so I can get a replacement Shaddy business Never had to do that for an rma before Should have bought something better

Gives you everything you need and then some. Mine came with a lot of extras that I didn't expect, such as a carrying case (for leftover power connector cables), and a rubber boot for the PS (so it doesn't scratch the case). NICE! Very impressed.

This is one of the best things I have put in my Gaming PC so far, Very high end, with wonderful features. The Velcro ties on all the cables came in really handy for cable management. For a while i had to keep checking the cooling fan to make sure it was spinning it is so quiet. Cables are sleeved nicely and well labeled for easy installation. If installing in a small case it may be difficult to rout the cables as they are very heavy and stiff. My only regret is not spending a little extra and getting the 1050 watt. My next PSU will be ULTRA as well. Don't forget to register with in 30 days of purchase to get your Lifetime Warranty.

Holy Smoke this thing is amazing! recently closed the case on a PhenomII build with the 850W model and all i can say is WOW! it's quiet, it's sexy, and easy as pie to install. My only regret is that i didn't include more components-- wth do you do with all the extra cables???

Been running this thing almost nonstop for two weeks with no problems so far. Was going to buy the cheaper model but decided to spend a little more and was well worth it. Would highly recommend the product to anyone of a new power supply!!

This is a truly wonderful Power supply unit. I have the x3 version and I love it and now I have this for a new i7build. It is the x3 and a whole lot more. More connections and runs cooler too! a MUST HAVE for anyone serious. A great SLI-PSU

Got this PS for a new system build after my previos system kicked the bucket... couldn't be happier with this PS. Runs cool and quiet, the modular design is great as it keep the airflow in my case up. Nice little bonuses too like velcro tie wraps, nice black thumb screws, and even a PS vibration dampener. My suggestion... Get One! It's worth the investment.

If you want more from your PC this will help quickly. went from an 800 watt to this 850. retuned my GPU and went from a 825 to an 875 core clock with the catalyst control center. start up is only 3 seconds quicker but was at 27 second to start. DONT LISTEN TO THE GUY WHO HEARD THE POP HE HOOKED IT UP WRONG.

This is an excellent, and good looking power supply, weighing 4.65 pounds. The silicone vibration damper and 135mm fan make a very quiet combination. Well designed and constructed, with heavy, quality cables. With it's power and current output, the modular connection system, and Lifetime Warranty, you can't go wrong with this power supply. Highly recommended!

I went to register this power supply at the manufacturers website to get the lifetime warranty and it was after 30 days so I can't. So I only get a 3 year warranty. To me, this makes the value a 1. The primary reason I went with this brand rather than another was for the lifetime warranty. I purchased on 11 29 09 and went to register it on 1 13 2010. The reason for taking 6 weeks to register it was because it took a month to get all the parts together for the build. Then a week to get it up and running after fooling around with the motherboard. Finally when it was up and running and it looked like everything was good to go, I get slapped in the face on the warranty registration. Generally you don't register an item if you aren't sure you're going to keep it. I didn't realize there was an expiration date on the warranty registration GEEZ! Just make it a lifetime warranty without all the BS and be done with it already!
