Put this on my new I7-903 build and took my temps down 10 degree's from the stock cooler. Great Heatsink!

Cons: dust collects

Pros: its one of the best air cooling methods before going watercooling
Comment:
Bought this for my i7 920 build, overclocked on a p6t to 3.6ghz with idle temps from ~31-40 degrees and ~59-60 degrees at load. used mx-2 thermal paste along with this. This heatsink is somewhat hard to install as the base sorta shifts, and dust tend to collect after time.

Cons: Cost's a wee bit higher - but you do get what you paid for

Pros: One of the best air coolers in the market
Comment:
This heatsink + a noctua 120mm fan is cooling an i7 960 - room temp of 21-22c and processor sits cool at 30c or less.a lot of reviews have mentioned this as being one of the best heatsinks you can get, especially for the lga1366 platform - and those reviews are correct.the mounting clips are strong and hold fast - and this does an amazing job.i went with a noctua fan instead of the fan it comes with based on ncix forum/review recommendations - best decision i could have made This review was modfied by poster @ 03-22-10 09:25 AM

Cons: Can get in the way of some items, but I found if you install those items first you can install this over top of them.

Pros: Quiet, good quality build, very versatile.

I have had this cooler on my i7 920 C0 (yea, C0) OC'd a 4.2Ghz and 1.245 volts. In a 22 deg C room I run at 41 deg C. Running on an ASUS GeneII in an Antec P180 Mini. Push / Pull fan setup. All fans set to are set to low. Nice thing is you can move the fan up/down depending on your memory configuration so you can install memory in all DIMM slots.

Cons: none yet , a little large and heavy

Pros: cooling seems good for air. looks good in case if it fits.somewhat simple install
Comment:
so far it has been cooling good. I was using water for quite some time now so this is the first air on a overclocked unit. it is large although i assume any similar cooling units will be of similar size.it has some weight to go with its size so i do have a little board warp noticeable but am getting good contact on cpu spreader. running in haf922 and fits fine with room probably to put a fan on the door.

Cons: SizePrice

Pros: Efficient coolingGood and quiet fan included
Comment:
The fit is not perfect. I installed it on a MSI X58M and the back plate can be moved up and down slightly. This cpu cooler did not fit on all case/motherboard. It do not fit in front-back configuration because the heatsink alone rub again the PSU (The heatsink goes outside of the board. Only the bottom-top setup fit but it was not good for the airflow. With my new case Antec 200, it is fine.

Cons: very big, but in my case I have a TT Armor so space wasn't an issue

Pros: Huge improvement in temps.
Comment:
I also have the evga classified and fit all 12 gigs of ram with no problems. i7 sits p under 35C at idle and never goes over 53C with full load (OC'd to 3.88ghz)If you have the case to fit it, the cooler will work very well. The other people must have smaller cases that are not getting much difference in temps.

Cons: Causes my LGA1366 socket to not seat correctly and therefore results in 2 of my DIMM slots not functioning due to lack of communication between the processor and ram.

Pros: Very sleek looking, and shiny
Comment:
I had purchased this product to install onto my EVGA X58 Classified combined with an I7 920 CPU in the hopes that I would have better temperatures with this heatsink and 2 fans in a push pull configuration, Unfortunately I did not have such luck and it resulted in only 4 out of the 6gb of memory that I had installed to be availableCPU-Z stated that 3 slots were installed onto my motherboardWindows 7 said that I had 6GB installed but only 3.99GB was useable.Trying to boot with one stick of memory in slot one, endless rebooting without posting, switched over to slot 3 and it booted, same with slot 5, also with slots 4 and six I was able to post the systemAfter checking through EVGA's FAQ's they stated that I should try re-seating the CPU and checking for bent/damaged pins on the socket, as there were no bent or damaged pins on my CPU socket I re-seated the thermalright heatsink again.(EVGA Support Knowledgebase FAQ ID # 58505 )After 3 attempts at trying to have this heatsink seated properly with one sucessfull re-seating which reverted back to having only 4GB available after shutting it down overnight I decided to switch back to the other heatsink I was previously using.

Cons: large as hell

Pros: actually not that loudgreat thermals
Comment:
Good product with excellent reviews from every site I've been too. Larger than expected with some ram clearance issues for some people with gaming ram, but seeing as I don't have that type it worked fine. Quieter than I thought it would be as well and the thermals are awesome. Not really for non overclockers since the price is a bit high.

Cons: Quality not as good in the past

Pros: Keep i7 920 cool.
Comment:
The top fin had trace of solder which I initial thought was rust. This is my 4th ThermalRight U120 since socket 775 to cool down quad core CPUs. This is the first time I use ThermalRight for socket 1136 and found the quality is not as good. The back plate is not fully flush with the motherboard Gigabyte X58A-UD7. I can still move the back plate up and down slightly. This did not happen for socket 775 version. The screws to hold down bracket for the heat sink left trace of tiny nickel plate attached to the screws. I found this out because I need to remove the heatsink to put in the Hybrid Silent Heat pipe by Gigabyte. For the sake of safety, I air bust the motherboard and the screws before putting it back. I am not sure if there is no nickel plate left out as this is difficult to look at the mounting bracket which is blocked by the motherboard components.Since this item is quite heavy, return shipping cost is not justified. I switch to Noctua C12P with new 1366 mounting kit and it perfectly sitting flush with the motherboard. I plan to switch to Notcha NH-D14 when it is on sale. Cons: - have some patience because the springs / screws are somewhat tough to screw in (lots of pressure needed)

Pros: - 2nd best air cooled hsf combo for the 1366's- not as heavy as I thought it would be- straight forward and simple to install- got it on sale for $64 something- comes with good quality 120mm fan and fan clip
Comment:
My 1366 4 cores (lga 1366 quad 2.67 ghz) idles in the low 30's and my cpu itself idles in the low 20's. Not that loud of a fan either, surprising how much air is put out (~63 cfm). Make sure you don't have a small or medium sized tower. and measure first just to be sure. Even in my large tower, the heatsink is very close to the side cover.

the heatsink is one of the best, if not the best avaible on the market. It looks pre sweet too. It cools your cpu very well for air cooling and really aloud me to oc my 920.

Cons: Very big heatsink, takes up space.

Pros: Follows the UNIX philosophy: does one job (cool the CPU), and does it well...and does it extremely well. Quiet.
Comment:
This is one of the best heatsinks I have used. Granted, most heatsinks I've used are stock with exception to Xigmatek AM2 which I used for Phenom X4 Black. Had to get this heatsink when Core i7 920 keeps telling me it was getting too hot. With the stock i7 fan, you get around 56 degrees on idle, and 70-80 degrees on load (Crysis, Video encoding, etc). However, with the Thermalright, you get around 28-32 degrees idle, and 38-42 degrees on heavy load. Get this, the CPU temperature on my i7 is cooler than the CPU temperature on my Macbook Pro (Core 2 Duo - T9500). With exception to the Prolimatech Heatsink (which is a true BEAST but NCIX is starting to phase out), I don't believe there could be any other heatsinks that could match this heatsink. Heck, you could take the fan off this heatsink, and it would still outperform the stock i7 heatsinks. Not to say that the fans are loud, since the fans are very quiet, but just saying that the fan isn't even needed for those who wants to just have a silent pc. For air-cooled solutions, this heatsink is the one to beat, the next step up would of course be watercooling.

Pros: Build quality

This thing is amazing, all of the other "competitors" i have tried all feel like junk. When you take this thing out of the box you know your getting your moneys worth, the fins are all solid metal and dont bend like other common heatsinks. Cooling is top notch, and looks awesome if you have a windowed case
