I got this to put my 70 gb sata hard drive into. It was fairly easy to place inside the enclosure, even though I have little computer expertise. Great product for a great value! |

I plugged the hard drive to my computer and it would not recognize it. According to the directions Vista should of recognized it. I smelled something burning and went to unplugged the power cord from the wall outlet and it was so hot I couldn't pick it up. I let it cool down and tried it again, but it would not come on. |

Order came super fast. I placed an SATA drive inside, connected it, closed the casing and plugged it in. Worked as described and has a cool blue front panel glow as a bonus. |

Okay so I thought this would be great I have both pata and sata in my system --waiting until the pata's die. I recently lost my mobo and wanted to salvage my data. I picked one of these up. plugged in the drive (ide), screwed everything back together, and powered it on. SMOKE IN THE OFFICE!!!! Plus it blew a capacitor on my harddrive. Got another one of these this time nothing--bad PS. Yep in this case 2 strikes you're out. |

Since I have two MassCool enclosures for 2.5 HDD I knew this would be a good choice, and I was right. The only faults I can find is that it is hard to tell a difference in the status indicater lights. The lights come on when the unit is on and blink when the unit is in use. They barely blink. Maybe if they changed color or something that would help but it is not a big deal. The only other thing was the cover for the lights had come unattached in packing or shipping but was easily fixed with super glue. I would recommend this product. |

take your money and set it on fire. You will get more satisfaction. It's too small for a sata drive. does not fit together without force and the lights stopped working the first day. I sent it back . This retailer gave me a full refund and did not charge shipping on the other 1 I got ! |

The quality of this drive enclusure is ''JUNK'' It has a flimsy circuit board that you need to attached your drive to and if you are using the included IDE adapters, the bulk of the IDE cable flexes the circuit board making it hard to insert/remove form the enclosure. Screw holes on the casing don't line up properly without significant pressure being applied and all drive LED's don't work. If you're looking for a good quality SATA/IDE drive enclosure, look elswhere as the masscool isn't it. If I wasn't hard pressed for needing it, I would have returned it for refund. |
Easy to use and install, worked right away - Only thing is the blue plastic cover at the front had to be reglued in position. Not a big deal
