Comment:
ASUS UL20FT-B1I haven't seen any reviews about this laptop so I'll answer some questions which were unanswered for me.First of all I'll explain all the cons.1) Battery life: It equipped with 4400Mah battery(Yes, I'm sure). It is stated in the description 5600Mah, but this is a mistake. They don't have them.Battery life under movie playback over wi-fi with max brightness - 3hrs. So I'll try to find 5600Mah battery somewhere.2) Turbo 33 mode: It actually decreases performance according to windows experience index. Strange, but it's true.My Windows Experience Index (Turbo33=ON)Processor: 5.9Memory (RAM): 5.9Graphics: 3Gaming Graphics: 4.8Primary hard disc: 5.8Windows Experience Index (Turbo33=OFF)Processor: 5.9Memory (RAM): 5.9Graphics: 4.2Gaming Graphics: 5.3Primary hard disc: 5.9Amazing performance for such a small notebook. Those results obtained after updating all the drivers.3) WD5000BEVT. It's a Western Digital HDD (500GB). It's fast, silent(except parking) and reliable. The only problem that it's a BEVT and it means that it's parking its head very often. My researched showed that it's done after 4! seconds of idling. And every time during parking it makes a clicking sound which is quite loud(compared to normal operation), it needs some time to wake up and manufacturer guaranees you only 300.000 parkings for that drive. Beleive me, you'll reach it just in a couple of months. For external drive, this parking is a nice power saving feature, but not for the system drive.Fortunately there is a fix for that problem which is called wdidle3. It can be found here: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=609&sid=113It's a DOS tool which allows to disable this parking feature. It's stated that this tool is not compatible with this drive, but many people use it for a wide range of WD drives. It's up to you use it or not. Use google for instructions.4)Preinstalled Soft: A lot of programs are preinstalled. Had to delete  them before using. But maybe you need them.Other answers:Wireless is N, Network is Gigabit, Memory is 1333Mhz(not 1066)In general I'm very happy with this notebook so far.
