This laptop is sleek. It looks good i like the keyboard a lot and i'm not noticing the flex folks stated they practical experience with the vt model on major of that this model comes with a split mouse click with two defined buttons instead of a single bar that you use each side of. This is my first laptop though i'm extremely familiar with a lot of laptops. The battery life is great, it's portable even though it's a bit heavier than i expected. As far as gaming goes (i'm a major gamer) so far i've only run civilization 4 and it runs perfectly on high settings i have however to try starcraft two while i'm assuming that lastly the reduced processing power will catch up to me there but aside from that the lower power processor hasn't seriously triggered me troubles. The touchpad is also incredibly great and uncomplicated. I have only two concerns with this laptop or computer. Initial, is that the battery moves about just a bit i feel a critique said 1ቬ of an inch and that's pretty correct. Second, comparable to it's buddy the ul80VT this computer occasionally provides off a high pitched whine. This whine drove me absolutely up the wall in under 5 minutes but following shutting down and rebooting it went away. That's the 1st time it's occurred but i've also only owned this laptop or computer for about 2 days. Although the whine is annoying the truth that it's taking place elsewhere tends to make me really feel a small superior that anything isn't breaking. I gave this personal computer four eggs due to the fact it's almost everything i wanted but the whine and the battery moving truly are unacceptable flaws that asus really should repair simply because they're so minor and with out them this personal computer is really good. I nonetheless am prepared to not be concerned about them simply because this personal computer is only 600 (elsewhere) and aside from individuals concerns it works perfectly for me. I'm a laptop or computer science student in college so it's nice to finally get some portability to system on. This is my initial evaluation but i felt obligated to do it due to the fact i had to base my decision to get this computer system off the critiques for the VT. Hope this aids for anybody thinking about purchasing it.

Lightweight, lengthy battery life Poorly made/ horrible asus assistance I purchased a new laptop on the net. In a week it started out to have blue screen, freezes, sudden restarts, WIFI card would turn off and the only way to bring it back was to restart the laptop. I sent it in to asus for repair. In about a week I got it back, but it was scratched up. I known as asus and complained that they scratched up my laptop. The requested the images to be sent to them. I emailed the photographs and sent the laptop in for a repair once again. To make it brief when I got the laptop back second time it was still scratched up (only 1 portion was replaced) the rest I guess they didn't believe was too bad. In addition they forgot to send me back my charger. But it wasn't all. My wifi issue came back in about 15 minutes of use. I call asus support back and they advise me to send the laptop back in for repair and promise me that they will send me a new charger. So this is the third time i send my laptop back. In a couple of days their assistance calls me and tells me that they located no difficulty with my

I bought this for something to keep me from getting bored on the road and to use as a media center from time to time. The HDMI output is wonderful but the resolution is off just sufficient to be annoying at times. I've played WoW, TF2 and LFD2 on it just fine. Rift and Assassin's Creed are a bit jumpy. If you get a pop up that warns that the processor speed is too slow just clear it and try the game. The video card can only be updated with the ASUS version of the driver. This shoots you in the foot given that they haven't updated that driver in about 8 months and I'm assuming they aren't preparing to. I may well back it up again and try a fresh install to see if that works.
