Used to house upgrade internal and replace old external PATA. I like the case design a lot. It was a bit awkward to install, but not hard. All parts assembled and performed fine. One thing I appreciate and looks cool is the dual purpose indicator light. It is a pleasant blue color for power on and has a red halo for read-write. It's fun to look at during the night with all the lights off. |

In this case I got what I you payed for. The first 1 of 2 worked just fine. The second had a very loose fit in the usb connector and created problems if I didnt keep the unit very still. Asssembly was a bit teedius (tiny screws) but the screwdriver they sent with the product helped. I am still looking for the product at $20.00 or less that consistently gives more attention to quality construction and reliability. I would not purchase this item again. |

I swapped out Hard Drives on my MacBook Pro and wanted to use the 320g hd that was left over. This worked great, easy to install and loved that it came with the tool to do all the work. Did receive one screw that wouldn't fit in the pre drilled holes but the the other three did the job so no problem there. |

This case went together well and works reliably. It is much better than it's nice, low price. I'm not getting very fast transfer rates from the 7200 rpm hitachi that i got for it, but I may not have all my ducks in a row and I don't get fast enough speeds from my other less small externals either, so the case rocks. |

I've received this 2.5 Slim and sleak Hard Drive sleave about 3 days after oder-it. The brush metal aluminium finish is from a solid bloc and of my perspective, made of a premium quality. I've considered the next level product (the one with the External SATA connector) but did'nt find it usefull unless this device will be connected to a laptop thru USB2 most of the time. The installation of the Hard Drive in the enclosure take me about lest than 5 min and the Hard Drive fit tight whit no loose or possible ways of rattle noise in the enclosure. I needed to upgrade my hard drive, but nothing was wrong with the original one,just not enough storage for my use. The Ultra was just what I needed to keep my original files in one place and upgrade my computer at the same time. Easy, great price, my computer is now faster because the storage is not maxed out. |

I bought this SATA enclosure to house a new larger hard drive prior to installation in my laptop. I was able to use it quickly and easily. Once I had installed an OS I was then able to swap the new 500GB into the laptop and the 250GB into this enclosure. Working great!! |
