Good quality enclosure. The value is great especially when you consider everything included in the box. My only wish would be that swapping the drives out of it was faster. The solution to that is buy a tool-less enclosure, or buy more enclosures for your spare drives. |

I use this as an alternate booting Linux OS on my corporate laptop. I use this 90% of the time and only boot the main hard drive when I absolutely need to. It works flawlessly, it has a nice travel cover and when I eventually have a computer with eSATA it will be even faster. It could also be used as an external backup drive. I am going to buy another for this reason. |

I got this HDD case to put my 120 gb ps3 hdd in. This was a great buy. Went together easy, is very well built, great price and it comes with everything you need. That little green screw driver was so convenient and came with plenty of screws to secure it firmly in the case. I have recommended this model to a couple of my friends and awaiting their review. |

I spent $9 on a cheap enclosure and got what I paid for. It stopped working after 1 use. The Ultra is leaps and bounds better. Built well and works as stated. The only thing that I would change is to put rubber feet on the bottom to prevent sliding (easy enough to do yourself). |

This enclosure peaked my interest a few months ago because of the eSATA. I have to say it is a great enclosure. I glad I bought it. Comes with all the cables and an external eSATA PCI port bracket, incase you do not have one available. Two thumbs up! |

My only regret is I had to wait until it got to my doorstep. This item, as a previous reviewer mentioned, comes with all cables you might need, just name it, even a portable screwdriver, a really simple to assemble enclosure which has worked flawlessly through both ports, eSata and USB,for two consecutive weeks. I use it to transfer files on two computers, one with eSata connector to another with USB 2.0 connectors. I wished I could see more Ultra products in the West Coast. |

The ad for this device says it fits any SATA hard drive. It does not. I have a Seagate Momentus 7200 SATA drive and it does not fit. This cost me a lot of time that I could not afford, so be careful. |

I am very happy with the quality of the aluminium casing. Sturdy, slim and light weight. Installation was simple. I installed a WDC 640gb hard drive. I am very impressed with the compatibility and performance. USB transfer rates were very high (about 35mb per sec on my computer). I could not expect much more than that over USB. I have not used eSATA. I have not had power issues with this drive. It is reliably powered by a single USB port (using my WD 640 drive in it). It is perfect for my needs. |

Very nice 2.5 enclosure with all the cables to have you up and running right out of the box. Even comes with a case. Easy assembly to install a 2.5 SATA hard drive. Quality is excellent and the best out there for the money. Don't pass this enclosure by, you won't find anything better for the money. I was so impressed after purchasing one, I ordered another. |

The product is great overall - nicely finished, and with a full complement of cables (and even an eSATA PC bracket). Unfortunately, in my case the USB power cable (that powers the drive when using the eSATA data connection) has been wired with the wrong polarity! I am currently working with them to find out whether they can replace just the cable, since the drive is already in use. |

I visited a macintosh friend recently and he was using a USB hard drive on his MacBook Pro. I was always the believer that only Firewire was the transport for data to an external drive, but my experience has been very different. I really like the design and substance of this enclosure. It is well built and able to take abuse as an all aluminum enclosure. It is a surprising value for such an enclosure with a 3 year warranty. |

USB powered Hard Drive with eSATA and USB data transfer for that price ! Really, it's a bargain. Very fast shipping ! Love the design, seems durable and solid. Performance is at 4 since eSata seems just a bit slower that usual, but maybe is it just my computer (probably)... Would definitely buy again. |
Ultra ULT40244 Aluminus Hard Drive Enclosure 
I have just purchased the product as an upgrade for my old Inspiron 6400 Laptop, replacing the old 100gb 5400 rpm hard drive with the 7200 rpm drive, the sheer performance improvement is great. I am running Windows 7 on my laptop and over all performance gain feels like twice as fast.
