Bought this micro-ATX to replace the defective one in my MSI-media-live. Good quality build with lots of connectors and cables. The cables with connectors allow you to to only use the one you need, so no unused dangling wires. Downside is that it is large for a micro-ATX. After installing it there was no room for the HDD bracket. It is also way too noisy for a HTPC. My girlfriend told me she didn't want to hear that think whizzing all evening. Not recommended for a box on a desk. If its hidden away it should do fine.

My son purchased this for a Christmas present for me. It worked great until last month. Then it put on a show; sparks, flame and smoke. I contacted by email Ultra. Now almost daily, and they never respond. Lifetime warranty does not count for much if the company won't respond.

I really like this ps, however be careful this thing is small. It was to small for my case and I had to make a braket to install this thing. I listed 4 stars's on features because ultra could have provided a bracket, because they had to know it wouldnt fit in most cases. Also, you dont get a bag or velcrow straps like the other X4 ps, but hey its only $50.

Yes, the disclaimer is true: Make sure your case needs a microATX PS. I am guessing some media center cases might, but the three different MicroATX cases I have use full size PS. I eventually had to return this item.

Just what I needed to finish building my daughters Pc. Easy to install, as small and great wiring without all the clutter. Would recommend to anyone needing a power supply.

This PS wasn't exactly what I needed, but I decided to go ahead and test it anyways, so I didn't get stuck waiting for another one. It worked so well and is so quiet I decided I'd keep it.

The fit was perfect in my mATX computer case. I noticed some of the other reviewers said it was too small. This is a true mATX power suppply. I used it to replace an aging A-Power 420 watt as a direct replacement. I like the modular feature as you don't have to plug in any excess cables you don't need. Installation was straightforward. I installed the power supply before plugging in the cables and had to remove my 3.5 component tray but it was no hassle. The cables have wire mesh covering(a nice feature) and are somewhat stiff but manageable. The fan runs quiet so it's not intrusive if you don't like noise. All in all it's a great little power supply and I would recommend it to anyone with an mATX case. It has the 24 pin breakaway motherboard connector to fit 20 pin legacy boards as well as newer ones. It has plenty of the 4 pin molex connectors as well as SATA, a 4 pin floppy connector, P4 4 pin motherboard plug and a 3 pin plug for case fans. It also has the 6 pin PCI Express plug.

This is a great power supply! Yes it is undersized, but I work with sheet metal and made my own mounting plate in under five minutes. QUIET and so far very reliable. Would recommend it to a friend. Love the power cords. Not a mess of wires like all other power supplies I have bought in the past.

this is to Tigerdirect and Denny, you have reviewed the wrong product, Ultra may not be the best to all people but the X3 series is great, and the new X4 stuff should be way better.

No problems installing this product -- it is supplied with a fairly comprehensive selection of different power cables, and it is very handy to be able to attach only the cables you need. It makes cable routing easier and internal clutter less. The fan is quiet. Please note that the photograph of the power-switch side of the unit is not quite right -- there are screw holes there in the standard configuration, but the picture does not show them.
