This is the second computer I have built with this PSU and I think it is great. I love the Modular set-up, it is quiet, and easy to install. A little expensive but worth it when running a gaming rig. Wouldn't buy anything else for a high end PC.

I bought this power supply about a month ago and it worked great... until I got a gtx 285. Apparently the ultra x3 1000w has a known issue with gtx 200 series graphics cards. Ultra was great about exchanging it for a replacement x3 that resolves the issue, and if they run out of replacements they'll send you an x4 1050w. Just make sure you register it!

Bought this 1,000 watt power supply to power my new gaming computer. I am running 2 GTX 275 vidoe cards and my system would keeping shutting down. Save you money and don't waste time buying this. You will be sending it back as the amps per slot is lower then the Cooler Master I got. Please read all reviews. I bought thinking....Hey, it has lifetime warranty how bad could it be.

Installed this PS in a new build about 3 weeks ago. It was an easy installation. The cabling was very easy. I have had several unexpected shutdowns. Other reviews suggest the PS. It hasn't happened enough yet to point any fingers. So far I would say it is a very good value for the money.

The Ultra X3 1000W is hands down the best power supply I have ever owned. I now have 2 X3's and they have both served me very well. Installation was a snap. I really like the modular cable design that allows to use only the cables for the components you need to hook up. It really cuts down on the clutter in your case. I was surprised that it included a molex to 3-pin fan cable to connect up to 3 system fans. Register your X3 on the Ultra website to get a FREE Lifetime Warranty (only 3 years out of the box). The X3 is made with excellent quality and I highly recommend it. Do not hesitate to buy this PSU.

I had switched it out for a new one thinking it would solve the problem. the issue with stability was still their had to get a different power supply which solve the power issue. I expected it to work better than it did. Live and learn.

This is the fourth Ultra X3 1000watts power supply I get. Clean and reliable. I agree that with many that this is far better than the Ultra X4 model. I may get another one as spare if price drops a little more. Waiting for new Intel 6-Core CPU, Mobo and NVidia 480 cards to come out to finish new build.

Built a new pc using this power supply. I couldn't get my computer running stably. It just kept crashing and rebooting. After swapping out as many parts as possible, I swapped in a new power supply and viola, problem solved. I contacted ultra about exchanging the defective power supply and was told that because I am in Canada I have to pay out of pocket to ship the supply back to them, then pay again for them to send me a new one. It's going to cost me about $50 in shipping, what a joke. I bought a new brand name power supply locally and am very happy to be rid of the Ultra sub par product. I bought an Ultra case also which arrived damaged. I won't be buying Ultra products anymore as I am 0 for 2 with them.

I really want to like this PSU, but I just can't, my experience with this model has been terrible. The first one blew it's lid when I switched it on, the second one makes a really annoying electrical ticking sound and the third would overheat and cut off the power after 30 minutes. I kept the second one out of frustration. Thank you for your excellent return policy, go give ultra a phone call and ask them to clean up their act please. As for Features and performance, this unit is very capable, the fan is silent, the modular construction really helps on mid-atx cases as well. If you get one that actually passes the quality control inspection, you should be pleased with it.

I'm using this PSU on a Gigabyte GA-X558A-UD7 motherboard. When I shut down Windows, the OS will stop, but the case fans and lights will not shut down. Gigabyte says this is a problem with the PSU. I even replaced it and still have the same problem.

The additional wattage was a little more than I needed, but it was too hard to resist having bought two units on sale. This was my first modualar power supply and I'm glad that I made this choice. Worked great for the dual X-fire cards. The unit runs very quiet, but then again there is lots of headroom as I'm not loading it down.

This Ultra power supply was one of the best rated on the internet. It lives up to the rating. Fully modular, nice finish and a quiet fan. Well worth the buck fifty we spent on it. Tigerdirect, as always, got it here quick. No DOA. It's been running ofr 2 weeks now with no problems. Lifetime warranty with registation. Would highly recomend.

One rail 1000W power supply, really better than 2-8 rails system...which might limit your videocard capabilitie. Stability is by far the best ive ever had (voltage monitor), packs includes every cable you would need. Great deal!

This PSU is the first and only disapointment I have ever had from Ultra. If your using a high end video card this PSU will not push the power needed for a GTX 295 and also had isues under load from I7 920 over clocked with speed steping and turbo turned on! Should not be rated 1000 watts!! If you need real power step up to the X4 1050. for those who arnt using high end cards or cpus disregard!

I do not know why some of these folks are complaining about this PSU, mine works perfectly. I have 4 1TB WD Cavier Green hard drives, an EVGA GeForce GTX 285 2GB Video card, 6 DDR3 Ram on an Intel DX58SO motherboard running an Intel i-7 920 CPU and I have not had any problems. Install was easier than plug and play and runs quiet. This is a serious PSU and works great.

This PSU is one of the best. For the price, this thing is excellent. Built a gaming system with this bad boy and hasn't failed me yet. Running 2 5970s crossfire. Exeeded my expectations. Fairly quiet too. I recommend this PSU.

Seems to have plenty of power and pretty quiet. Currently powering an i7 920 P6T and 5870. Not one crash, bluescreen, or restart. Played with over clocking up to 3.5 ghz, settled at 3.0, have had zero issues. We'll see down the road when I get a second 5870. Handles one card with no problems, been up and running for around 2 months with it.

Do not buy this PSU. Many of this model cannot power one 200 series graphics card. About 3 months after I bought this , I have experienced video card and system crashes every time I play a game. I thought this problem was due to software, driver, or video card related. After countless formats and exchanging of just about every piece of hardware component I narrowed the problem down to this crappy faulty PSU. If you dont believe me read this forum. Tons of people have been screwed by this company. Since I cannot submit web links Google this ''PSU name bad mojo'' the forum is from the evga website.
