Does what is say plus has HDMI adapter for flatscreens and HDMI Monitors... Ideal situation... Laptop with not extra video output and you want a bigger picture... Perfect for this!

I purchased two adapters (one for office and one for home). The adapter and software do everything as advertised. After using the two screen setup I don't think I want to use a single monitor again. I prepare taxes and need 2 screens to view the previous year information without jumping back & forth or confusing it with the current input file.

Couldn't be happier. Accurate and quick shipment from here. Easy installation. Works within 5 minutes. Mouse tracking and image quality much better than a similar device (from another manufacturer) I used for the past two years.

Does not have 1280X800 resolution (to match my other monitors and laptop). Closest is 1280X960 and has only 60 refresh rate. Mouse is jerky at that setting and view is somewhat distorted. Easy to hook up and use. I am going to look for one that can meet the 1280X800 resolution with higher refresh rate.

I bought this to add a third monitor to my laptop. I was not expecting the performance to be good enough to do anything more than browse the web or look at documents. To my surprise its possible to watch videos on the monitor connected to this device. I'm now thinking I'd like to get another and add a 4th monitor to my system.

First big props to the Manufacturers telephone Customer Support they were fabulous! If only more hardware vendors were like them. The product seems to be a nice little unit in general. My company bought this unit to aid our sales force in doing marketing presentations from their company laptops. All of them are identical. Sadly after multiple installation attempts on multiple machines I learned from Manufacturers Support that the unit is not compatible with one, and apparently only one specific chipset. I am told that this is due to the usual non-cooperation from the chipset manufacturer in providing the proprietary information necessary for the driver creation. Unfortunately this is the chipset contained in all of our laptops. I wish we could get new ones. FYI, That chipset is: Mobile 915GM GMS 910GML Express Chipset Manufacturer Support was quick to identify the issue and this site was great as always about a Return Auth.

Integrates well with various video scenarios. I have a mac book pro (with it's own 17 in display) driving one 22 in display on the native DVI port, and another identical 22 in on the converter. A nice feature of snow lep is you can configure the desktop displays for any orientation you want, and still drive all three independently. I have the laptop sitting centered just below the 2 monitors, which are on a shelf. Video quality is indiscernible from the native dvi. Integrates nicely with the OS. Generally works well but is a bit slow on the update (to be expected). The stability of the video is good, and color saturation is natural. Also requires you to download a generic beta display link video driver for snow leopard since there is no install disk for this OS. Now that you have read this, you know what you do, so go ahead and buy it.

This was a last option for my hp computer, which has no Video option in the BIOS. There was no way I could disable the onboard video card so I purchased numerous items, all of which failed. I thought this item wouldn't work, and that I was just going to have to purchase a new computer and start over. This item saved me money and stress!!

True plug and play. I use this with my laptop on Windows 7 and Ubuntu. It was recognized as soon as I plugged it in. Saves the video settings for the next time its plugged in as well. I have had no problems with it. Full screen HD video is a bit choppy but that is to be expected with any USB video device. It works fine with standard resolutions however.

I needed a way to hook the HDMI of our flat panel wall-mounted TV to our mini netbook. This installed quickly and after a few tweeks for the resolution, it worked well. I set this up as the default monitor so the screen display (instead of mirror or extended display) would be wider & when it's disconnects, the netbook automatically changes back to the laptop screen. I knew it would not have sound (because the more expensive model has audio), but I was only needing the video. This item is used several times per week & no issues so far.

This is a very nice product for adding a second monitor to a computer that has only one output on its graphics card. It can also be attached to an HDTV using the HDMI cable adapter. However, the HDMI adapter must be plugged into a DVI connector on the output side of the Arcview device. Therefore, it cannot send the audio signal through the HDMI cable. If you're trying to watch a DVD on your TV using this device, you'll either have to play the audio through your computer speakers or buy the slightly more expensive Arkview version that includes RCA-type audio-out connectors. It's still a very good buy and a very useful product. I did not experience any noticeable performance hit on my CPU even though it was an older Pentium 4.

Great for work use. It's not the fastest refresh or the clearest but for the money it works well. XP R2 out of the box run the drivers and hook it up, couldn't have been an easier install.

This product is compact and sits right along side my tower..I was apprehensive about using and external video card because of some issues I had read about with them (i.e. slow response time for curser to follow to the next screen and losing the curser) I have experienced no such problems with this unit and am very happy with its performance. My wife uses it for her geneology and she is definitely not a geek. She has no patience for tech issues like those mentioned above--she has used it for months and has experienced no problems what so ever and it is really nice to have the portability to use it with different machines as work dictates. It is a winner in my book.

I use a macbook pro as my main machine, and I've always used dual monitors with it to help multi-task. But I recently upgraded from a 19" to a 24" monitor, and didn't want the other to go to waste. The Arkview USB to DVI adapter was the cheapest solution, and has been working almost perfectly. Very occasionally the driver will do some strange things, but this is usually fixed by unplugging the device and plugging it back in. Great product.

There are other products at 2 or 3 times the cost that apparently work better and have more features, but for what I needed this works fine. At first I thought it didn't work, but it's a little slow starting up. Works fine.

I've been using this adapter for several months and it works great. Much better than (a different brand) I used in the past. The cursor moves smoothly from monitor to monitor just as it would with an internal video card. I've used it on my desktop and laptop. It only takes a second to change the attached monitor from one side to the other or change the resolution using the software. I highly recommend this adapter.

I recently purchased this adapter for my Macbook, I wanted dual-monitors, however a 22'' and the 13'' on my macbook doesnt cut it. The USB-DH88 said it had mac drivers, but it didn't support the screen resolution I needed. This adapter did, but didn't show mac support. I emailed the company to ask if they intended to have support for this product, & they promptly emailed me back, then called me & asked if i had any more questions, great customer service! They explained the mac driver works with both, so I'm good to go. Installed everything last week & am very pleased. The only bug I've found, for the mac, is that if you leave the mouse on the screen hooked up through the adapter, if you step away & the screen turns off or screensaver comes on, when you come back, the mouse seems to be stuck. Workaround is to move the mouse to the other screen before leaving, or unplug the device & plugging it back in, somewhat inconvenient but saved me from buying a new imac.
