YOUR PRODUCT DOESN'T WORK ON 2 OF MY THREE LAPTOPS. THE LAPTOP IS DOES WORK ON IS A WINDOWS 7 MACHINE AND YOUR DOCUMENTATION IS NOT GOOD FOR THIS. I HAD TO FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF. WOULD NOT WORK ON (2)XP LAPTOPS WHICH IS WHAT I BOUGHT IT FOR. SO IN REALITY THE PURCHASE WAS BAD. THE PRODUCT DOES WORK. WOULD LIKE A WINDOWS 7 UPDATE FOR IT.

The audio connection does not mount into windows (audio device). Capture only works with proprietary software. Got 2 replacements, Sabrent laughing at me with my frustration.

This will do the job for videos that you want to be able to manipulate on the PC (e.g., taking a snapshot or taking a clip and putting it on the web or emailing it) but the quality compared to the original tapes is not very good.

It works, but ONLY with the application included so do NOT lose it if you buy it. I've tried various other apps to try and record to no avail. Some will work once, then fail from then on almost as if they are being blocked or something; the picture is off as if vertical is set up on inch or two.

Works with included software only. If using other software the sound is not recorded. Quality of video poor and choppy.

Purchased because I was looking for an easy way to move the stack of SVHS home movies to computer and because the literature explicitly mentioned working under Vista 64. There was no problem with getting the software installed or operating the device; unfortunately the video quality of the capture is pretty poor regardless of which final format you choose to save to and there appears to be no way to get rid of the torn edges from sync pulses and the like which would have been masked by a tv display in the past. The video capture capability on my old system's ATI video card was much better than this; it will take more time and effort to get that runnig again, but what I'm trying to preserve is worth it. Repackaged this product for return, but I would still like to find a decent stand-alone capture to quality file device (not dvd) that works with a current operating system.

Easy to set up, quality was better than some of the other models I have tried, functions very well as a DVD Maker... used on XP, VISTA, will try on 7 shortly.

Don't use this capture device if you care about audio quality. It may be okay to use for transferring a home video or something where audio quality does not matter. However, if you have music or care about getting clean audio, this simply does not work.

I haven'used the product extensively as yet. It does work but I found the quality of the caputure to be poor compared with the Dazzle capture system I use on my old laptop. While that is still going I prefer the Dazzle system.

Device did not perform correctly from day 1. Contacted tech support and was directed to a poor speaking english person. Said he understood the problem and would call me back in 24 hours with solution. I called him back and left a message. That was 3 days ago. Product returned today.

At first a little tricky on Vista 64 bit but I got it working ok. Phone support was good from Sabrent, but after switching USB ports the issue resolved itself. Great little device, perfect for converting some old tapes and even a small spycam setup.
