Cons: * Non adjustable base height* Only has HDMI and VGA connections

Pros: * Looks amazing* High resolution* Great value for the (sales) price* VESA mounting available* Low power consumption
Comment:
I bought one of these monitors on sale for $130 and I am thoroughly pleased with the purchase. Out of the 3 monitors that I currently own the BenQ has by far the best image quality. It is much better than even my S-IPS Dell 2007WFP monitor which in turn is much better than my Samsung Syncmaster T220. I am currently trying to sell my Dell and Samsung monitors so that I can replace them with two more of these BenQ V2210 monitors. The only real issue I have with the monitor is that the base is non-adjustable. This means that I have to prop the monitor up using one of my old text-books. If I can replace my Dell and Samsung monitors I will also likely invest in a VESA mount that will solve my issues. The lack of a DVI or DisplayPort plug on the monitor can easily be made up with a cheap adapter. The only other possible issue with the monitor is that It will default to 15% underscan on ATI graphics cards. This is very easily fixed by changing the appropriate setting in the CCC.

Cons: Thick, Not Sleek, 2 Outputs, Quality is not that great

Pros: No Dead pixels, Nothing else I can think off
Comment:
I am very disappointed with this monitor. I should done some more research on this product. The thickness of this monitor is the same as my G2420HH. For me the quality on my G2420HD is better than this one even though it has LED backlight. 2 outputs hdmi and vga, should have been hdmi and dvi. Should have bought another G2420HD.

Cons: - No DVI input- Lots of adjustments out of the box- Anything above 60-70 contrast everything becomes whited-out- HDMI input makes ATI drivers think its an HDTV- No extra bundles other than a VGA cable- Text seems to be blurry

Pros: - Cheap ($129.99)- Very Bright- Look decent once adjusted
Comment:
This is my first BenQ monitor and I'm disappointed. I know this is suppose to be a value model but it took a lot of adjustment out of the box before it look decent. The colors were flat and washed out so be sure to play with he contrast and gamma on the monitor and drivers. There is no DVI input only an HDMI and it doesn't come with a HDMI cable. Also, because its HDMI, the Ati drivers assume its an HDTV and underscan the image, so when you set it to 1080p the image is centered but not expanded to the full screen, so you need to tell it to have 0% over or under scan. Also, the actual contrast ratio isn't very high - only 1000:1. This allows very little room to play around with and is tedious to get the picture right. But overall, for the price, this is a good monitor. It is worth investing 30-40mins getting the picture you want out of it.

Cons: Preset profiles are useless

Pros: Price for LED-backlit screen
Comment:
Out of the box, the colours appear wash-out. Even the preset colour profiles do not help. I had to pull out my Spyder2 calibration tool to help bring some life to the colours. The current price is more than fair for a LED-backlit panel.

Cons: Dim lifeless picture with no contrast and lifeless color.

Pros: Cheap, Power Efficient
Comment:
Compared to a non-LED Samsung 245BW from a few years back, this monitor looks pretty awful. I realy wanted to like it because of its power efficiency but I've played with all the settings and this monitor just completely lacks in contrast.Anything over 100 brightness and 60 contrast you lose the blacks. The dynamic contrast doesn't really do jack. This one will be going back. I guess you get what you pay for - if you don't need a bright picture, good contrast, or vibrant color its probably a good deal.I am willing to entertain suggestions on a high end 21" 1920x1080 monitor with good contrast, good color, and a thin bezel (to run a pair)??

Cons: -Image doesn't seem as sharp as it could be

Pros: -Price-Resolution-Can easily switch between inputs
Comment:
I switched from pure VGA, 1440x900, to this. Maybe I missed a lot on monitors and this one doesn't have anything special, but here's what impresses me :- 5ms is perfect for any game and there's no visible ghosting, at least not for Gran Turismo 5, no matter what the 2ms monitors data sheets try to make us believe.- I can plug my computer and my PS3 at the same time , and I can switch between the 2 only by pressing 2 times the Enter button on the side. Maybe this doesn't seem like much to some people, but when you need it, you realize that it's one of the most awesome qualities a monitor can have ; switching between movies and internet, PS3 and game walkthroughs, B-spec and your computer if your playing GT5 (main use for me).- I have 1080 resolution and HDMI for less thant 200$, for a screen built by a good companyHowever, the image isn't as sharp (well-defined) as on my 72" DLP screen, maybe it's because the ratio between screen size and the distance at which I am from it is greater for my monitor than my tv.The price is great for what you get, though I would've bought an Asus if this one hadn't been on sale.I'm giving it 4 stars, because there's still a lot better, though this monitor suits all my needs.

Cons: Not at all sturdy

Pros: Price, quality and capability
Comment:
Overall this is a great monitor. Despite the fact that it is extremely wobbly due to its flimsy base, it is crisp and clear. For $129.99 it was a steal as it is energy saving and cheaper than any LED LCD monitors of its size and refresh rate let alone mere LCD monitors.

Cons: # No HDMI cable included# No DVI port or DisplayPort# Plastic that snaps into base is brittle and easily prone to an accidental snap# Limited screen orientation possibilities# Many options in the OSD are greyed out for unexplained reasons# No driver disc

Pros: # Large, excellent picture at 1080p resolution# Headphone jack# Sensible OSD button placement# Attractive and functional BenQ packaging
Comment:
There's an issue either with the default monitor settings (which can't be changed) or the ATI Catalyst driver suite (which can be changed) where the picture is underscanned in HDMI mode. The default desktop has one-inch thick black borders all around it at native resolution until this setting is modified from %15 to %0. However, in some full-screen games (Civ5), the black border still returns.

Cons: What a cheapout, no DVI connectorA touch slow 5 ms versus 2 ms

Pros: Slightly more detail and contrast over standard LCD, VESA mount
Comment:
Not as thin as some artsy designer models,it is just as thick as my 2200HD. Psu is built inI saw the next series 24 inch at the big box store v2420 at $299 it claimed a refresh of 2ms., very thin and external Psu.Buy on price! LED is overhyped

Cons: HDMI compatibility, No DVI

Pros: minimalist, LED, HDMI, thin bezel, 1080p
Comment:
(should have been posted under comments sorry)On board HDMI video(HD4200?) on my ASUS motherboard does not initialize when plugged into this monitor. I can boot up with HDMI video out to my sharp 1080p TV, then transfer the cable to the Benq monitor and things work fine. For some reason the motherboard does not seem to be detecting the presence of the Benq over HDMI. Unfortunately this currently leaves me with 1080p vga output, and a soft and rippling video quality. Has anyone else found a solution to this problem? This review was modfied by poster p 03-27-10 02:43 PM This review was modfied by poster @ 03-27-10 02:27 PM
