Extremely basic for me to install onto my nForce chipset on my DFI LanParty NF4 Ultra-D motherboard. Only had to push one particular of the push pins in abit with my needle-nose pliers, but otherwise a great match. It is really quiet. I can barely hear it even at full speed. In my predicament, it didn't alter my temperature that significantly, but it is consistent.

Had a severely overheating GPU, went up to 115 degrees playing L4D ahead of laptop just totally shut down. The thermal compound that came with it was excellent adequate to keep temps around 80-90 with high settings and kept my comp from shutting off. The heat sink does NOT fit my ATI videocard, as it claims to. The metal strip that holds the heatsink/fan more than my GPU isn't lengthy adequate to snap the pins thru the holes on the card. I wish the specifications would tell you the length of the strip that holds the fan more than the card and not just fan dimensions. Fairly annoying.

Worked for 4 solid months. Stops spinning at instances. It wants the help of my finger to give it a kick begin to begin spinning! Kinda like these old college plane propellers! This is horrible! Blew my chipset on my DFI Ultra-D Extremely extremely DISSAPOINTED!

Strong copper heatsink, extremely smooth surface for great heat transfer. Cool LED's that match my case. Thermal compound offered is actually not poor. Took a wee bit of maneuvering to "pin" it down onto the DFI northbridge, not negative even though. Essentially used this for my nForce4 northbridge chipset on my DFI LanParty UT Ultra-D SLi motherboard. My original fan (even when functioning at its finest) kept my chipset at around 46-47 deg. Celsius. This cooler (VC-RE) has never ever, ever bumped previous 40 deg. Celsius (normally about 37-38. All round, fantastic solution...can't beat the price.

Match my Ati Radeon 9800 Pro devoid of any modifications. Keeps the GPU cooler than the stock cooler and cooler than the Thermaltkae Crystal Orb which died immediately after about five years. Don't will need the lights on my closed metal case

Bought to replace a whining stock fan on an old X600 and did the job perfectlyEffectively produced- complete copper construction for rapidly heat dissipationLEDs are cute, appears like one particular blue and 1 redStraightforward to install- their thermal compound is great sufficient for me and the unit snapped proper inFunctioning! Nine months and going strong, maintaining the gpu cool by way of lengthy sessions of CSS and BF2 Even though this guy is about as inexpensive as it gets, I did have to query spending 13 + shipping on a graphics card that's possibly worth 50 bucksDoesn't do anything for my P4 prescott ;) shipped with classic newegg expediency

low cost. does its job, fairly quiet. has a blue led on one side and red on the other- - nice had to modify wires to make it function with the g100 that came with my wife pc but what do you count on with a universal kit. didnt have to modify card it lined up with a set of holes and popped correct in... i would advise.

I use them as Northbridge coolers on my two overclocked DFI NF4 SLI-DR systems. Stock coolers are probably fine at stock speeds, but Northbridge heat can cause instability on an overclocked technique. These maintain the Northbridge cool. Set up was uncomplicated and the low profile fits below the video card with space to spare. One of the fans is beginning to make noise, following about 2.five years of 24x7 use. It's fantastic to know that a replacement is obtainable if it dies. Newegg's "shipping" charges on these little products are ridiculous. Does it truly cost them seven extra bucks to stick this into the box with the rest of my order?

Cool LED'S and very good functionality considering it's size. none. I applied two of them for my NB and SB on the 680i board. The stocking NB fan dies out and my MCP temps have been sky higher. After installing them, load temps so far have not reach 50C. E8400ʄ.00GHz @ 1.24V.

This point is affordable (thinking about "value" here, not value), does what it's built to do and has been doing it for me for more than 3.5 years. Bought it to replace the stock chipset cooler on my Dfi Lanparty mobo. Dfi had put a rather inexpensive cooler on there and it was each loud and ineffective. This thing has been on ever because and it's run nearly 24ǝ뤅 with no a hitch. None that I can think of. If it shucks out tomrrow I may possibly transform my thoughts, but it's created a great run so far so I'm not expecting something. I'm glad to see they're still creating/selling them. I'm a cost-free-marketeer at heart, so it's good to see a item do effectively that, from my standpoint anyway, does what it's consumers want it to do at a fair cost.

Cheap. Strong. Heavy. Quiet*. Keeps my chip cool. Not free of charge. Shipping charges are atrocious. * A small noisy at 12V. Completely silent at 5V, and just correct at 7V. I don't have a temp gauge on my ancient FX5200, but I have no challenges due to heat. Pinned directly onto my FX5200 card. Install couldn't be easier. Wire it up @ 7V and you will be impressed.

Nicely built, all the right accessories (thermal paste and 4-pin adapter). I employed these for my North and South bridge chipsets on my evga 680i mobo. I needed one thing low profile to match SLI HR-03's, and I necessary greater cooling. These little guys match the bill completely. Dropped temps on each chipsets by ten-20c. On full speed they can be a tiny annoying(depending on the rest of your system) so I turned them down to 60% or 70% in the mobo BIOS, cooling is barely affected and they are now silent. They have 1 blue and 1 red LED, the rest of my method is blue so the red LEDS sorta throw off my scheme, I guess if I am genuinely obsessive about it I can break the red LEDs off so every thing matches =p Awesome product, excellent for a range of cooling demands. Awesome for not just south bridge, but north bridge chipsets as well!

It operates excellent. Came with plenty of thermal paste. It took a considerable quantity of pressure to get the springs to flex when installing. I didn't break something in the procedure but it was a concern.

This issue functions wonderful as a 780i mcp chipset cooler. Even although it is listed as a vga cooler, it has the right distance for the push pins to match. I use it on the evga 780i mobo. The design and style isn't great as the fins are only on the peripheral to allow the central fan. Not the most effective design and style but fairly successful. Not poor as a sb cooler. would never in a million years use as a vga cooler.

blows air, has some LEDs, nice smooth back for heat transfer. The spring clamp on this point is stupidly stiff, and I ended up damaging some solder lines on a motherboard acquiring this clamped in place by bending force alone. The LEDs are so tiny that they don't stand out even in a dimly-lit room.

Copper HeatsinkFit my LanParty SLI-DR and fit snugly Died immediately after 15 days Right after initially getting it, I had to give it a "kick-start off" by pushing the fins on the fan due to the fact it wouldn't spin. Thought the issues had been over, but following only 15 days, it completely died. LED's do not show any longer and the fan will not spin.

Perfect fit function’s proper out the box with no trouble. Appears truly excellent fill’s like a higher good quality item. It is all actual copper! : ) None. I hope one particular of there organization rep see this, not sure why this item is not marketed as a north bridge cooler as properly. I have it on my Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3P mother board. Don’t be miss led by some post about the red and blue LED’S not becoming one particular color. They are bright but not like stupid bright, they just look good! : )My case has a window and I have all blue lights and blue glowing fans in their, the little red is a nice accent. It fit on their like it was created to be a north bridge cooler, not significantly else to say. : )

Fits my 680i Motherboard's MCP chipset perfectly. Applied with OCZ Freeze paste. MCP idles at 41C according to BIOS with fanspeed forced to 50%. Absolutely silent at 50% fan speed. None Comes with generic paste, even so, I would propose making use of your own paste instead.

I'm a noob at altering stuff out on my pc. I necessary a new fan for my northbridge chipset (an8-sli mob) so I went to eggxpert and was told to use this fan, I was also told that it would drop into location. It did with the exception of the metal fins that the push pins go into, they were a tiny extended and I had to trim them a bit, but other then that I just dropped it in and was completed. Works great even tho it has blue and red leds, wish they had been both blue, and for the noise it look to be a bit quitier then the stock fan. Really great price and it only took a couple of days to get them from Newegg. The red led light

2.15" all-copper disk 1Ǟ" thick. Lengthy strip of capitol "S" crimped copper foil, 6mm wide, 14mm tall brazed on so absolutely free airflow over lots of surface.Tachometer Ɠ pin) ball bearing fan with a blue LED opposite a red LED.Syringe of paste included.four pin Molex 'classic optical drive' pass-thru power adapter incorporated. All this for only about eight bucks. Pins integrated have no coil springs so considerably far more stress bears on slightly taller chips. Drilling out holes for springed pins tough, due to the fact they're in spring steel.three pins energy also huge for any video card (mates to motherboard). Slim pins spaced 55mm matches 3mm holes in my Radeon 9600񵈸Pro. Pack recommends this for: GeForce Ti and MX. Sis Xabre and "Radeon series".I did not require four ram sinks supplied with a Vantec Iceberq4, despite the fact that it's coil-spring pins would make this more versatile.eight 1ǘ" extended energy wire.
