Shockingly quiet. Shocking simply because video card fans are typically these tiny tiny buzzing points, whereas this card has a large fan that, I guess, doesn't require to go incredibly rapidly to keep cool, simply because there's quite tiny airflow out the back and no noise. I'm hoping that's a feature and not a broken fan, but so far it's functioning excellent. Cost-free bonus offer quite lame compared to NVIDIA's other cards, but it's the 450, they can't genuinely be providing out full priced games.

The Huge cooling fan worried me a bit, as my Computer sits quite close. But the fan is surprisingly very really. No noise issues at all, and the card runs cool. I have a Multi boot Computer with Win7 x64, Vista, and XP, no issues on those O/Ss . The Win7 encounter index gave it a six.9 (out of possible 7.9). Minor Con, only 1 VGA to DVI adapter , that might not be an situation for everybody, but I’m just say’n……. I realize a lot of folks are most likely wanting to know about OCing this card. I’m a gamer just not hardcore, So I wanted a card that would handle my needs in a “Stock” configuration. And I anticipate a will need for DX 11, which this card supports. Sorry I can’t address the OC issue, I don’t game enough to be obsessed with FPS. Visio needs to appear as good as MOH, CoD , and LOTR, and with this card it all does very well.New Egg’s detail Pics are spot on as far as particulars and what you get.Couple of considerations, The Backplane desires two case slots, you will require to connect the six pin PCIe power so you need to have to have a PS that will manage the load, and you will want an additional .five to .75 inches for the power connection, more than and above the eight.25 inch length of the card itself. As for PNY, I have been a fan for a number of years, the one particular time I dealt with their customer service they had been Aces. I go with them on Video cards and RAM whenever I can.

It's a extremely quiet card. It barely spins up even when playing games like SC2, COD:BO, Bulletstorm, etc. on nearly all higher/extreme settings.Low power, so its good for older computer systems. I match it in my Shuttle SP35P2 PRO which has a 400W PSU and incredibly limited space. If you're going to be doing this, hold in thoughts you'll will need to take out the ATA cable (blocks the heatsink) and reroute several power cables which get stuck on the heatsink. Excellent overclock, and low price Cooler does not look like the one in the picture period. From newegg, you will get a PNY card that does not have the reference cooler (which is what I wanted). Not as very good as competitively priced ATI counterparts. Depends on your usage, but I'd advocate the ATI cards 񣄊) more than the GTS450

hell of an upgrade from my GF-7800 gt. It's quieter, makes use of significantly less power, and doubled my frame prices. Comes with a mini HDMI to Hdmi adapter, vga to dvi adapter. Now I need to upgrade my socket 939 Athlon X2 4800 and mobo. Double slot. Lacks a handful of functions of the 460. no show port. Totally free Hawx 2 game demands continual net connection (not PNY's fault.) Bought for ๳ significantly less a บ promo code, now sending in rebate for an additional บ. Most expense powerful upgrade I've ever bought. (I had previously planned on a 5750񴉺, but the 450 is at least equivalent to the 5750 for ษ significantly less when I purchased it.) I'm a casual gamer who focuses on Multiplayer FPS and rpgs, so I want consistent frames more than all the visual goodies. Attempted overclocking briefly to get a handful of extra frames in Poor Corporation two: went to 925mhz from 783 ྲ% OC), was stable, resulted in ten% in frame rate. Haven't attempted for an extended period however. I peaked my frames at ㅢ and held regularly in the low 30s on low settings, but please recall the rest of my program is the minimum specs for Negative Company 2.I will update this assessment after I upgrade the rest of my system in the subsequent couple of months.

Decent card, nothing at all specific either way Rebate scam. Retain copies of anything as their agenda reject all rebate claims saying that you didn't send UPC/barcode. After arguing with rebate manager, it seems that despite the human perform involved, no a single at their rebate center is capable of generating a mistake and nothing at all other than a UPC label can recognize your card. That level of silliness made me want to gag.

The second PNY card I've owned, and the much more I use their cards the a lot more I like them. Really very good warranty and I've heard wonderful things about PNY help. The card itself is excellent for what it is (mainstream gaming card). GF106 core is absolutely nothing like the nuclear reactor in the 480 and 470. This card runs genuinely cool, so cool that even when running Furmark extreme burning mode the fan speed doesn't enhance. Also only uses 𞲔W of energy max. When overclocked slightly this card comes close to my HD4890 in 3DMark06. Definately has enough power to max most games at 20"-22" resolutions without AA, the notable exception of course getting Crysis. Curb stomps its AMD competitor, the HD5750. Has 4 RAM chips on other side of PCB, preventing them from getting any airflow. Slight capacitor whine below load. You can not go wrong with this card in this price variety. For these who run F@H this card has a fairly fantastic PPD per dollar ratio. Receiving 6k-7k PPD with 1298pt GPU3 WUs at stock clocks. Gets considerably better PPD/$ with other WUs.

I like the reality that this card utilizes the stock frequencys for it's architecture. From BB this card was over 200 bucks. Runs good and quiet. 7.1 WEI for both aero and games on my old pci-e x16. Replaced a 3 year old PNY 8500GT that nevertheless operates fine with this beast. Sold out for now. PNY internet site erroniously listed power specifications as 450W provide w/ 12V rating of 38A. This triggered me a small confusion so I went to BB and looked on the box to confirm and it says 22A essential. No issue for my Shuttle's 400 watt w/ 30A rating I have a Shuttle SP35P2 with the 1st generation PCI-e. I bought this so that I could play Starcraft II and my son play COD but not confident about his game but. I had an 8500GT with Starcraft II settings on low but they're all maxed out now. The card fits in there fine and the game looks awesome.

Reasonably priced, packs a fantastic punch in modern day games, can play Empire Total War on virtually max settings, even coupled with a old AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 at 2.2GHz, and four gigs of old DDR ram..Breathed new life into a reasonably old technique by currently's requirements. Not Cost-free, but as I said decently priced. But could as well have gone for a slightly much more power complete card for the cost of 20 bucks far more or so. Would very recommend this for anybody running an older PCIe x16 machine(none 2. or two.1) As it will breath new life into the machine in numerous respects. Can nevertheless be applied with PCIe two. as that is what it was meant for, even so it is 100% backwards compatible with PCIe x16Ƒ.) just will have decreased speeds of course.

Seemed to work fine for steam games as well as other people even though it worked. Blacks out randomly. When I 1st tested the card it worked great for games and bluray. Then it started blacking out randomly. Upon further inspection the card looks utilized but I had already sent in the MIR. Out of luck. Fail. I have checked on many sites and seems like other individuals are getting imilar difficulties with this video card. I like how Newegg is nonetheless operating a rebate promo on this card even with the complications that are nevertheless getting reported.

The price tag you pay for the efficiency you get is pretty solid. Upgraded somebody from an 8800gt to this card due to their 8800 becoming previous warranty and malfunctioning. Didn't do a complete lot to it ahead of I gave the Pc back so it's challenging to justify how very good the card actually is. This is the most important reason why I'm writing a assessment. I saw other people today say this in their evaluations also, but it didn't matter substantially to me at all so I ordered it anyways. The cooler on the card *IS NOT* the a single in the picture as of 3ቺቧ. Not certain if some folks actually care about this or not, but it's Very misleading. Not sure if this falls on PNY or Newegg, but for how lengthy individuals have said some thing about this it ought to have been updated. If you're searching for bang for your buck, this is an allright card.

Bought it to replace the ATI HD 3200 on-board card in my media Computer (tired of seeing ATI CC errors that it did not come across any supported hardware occasionally). Connected it to the LCD Television by way of HDMI and I seen the video specifics are better than the ATI HD-3200. Pro:-Cheap (got it though it was on sell with a cost-free HAWX2 game coupon and a บ rebate) -Supporting Directx 11 -Operating quiet and cool Nothing - No complains for this entry level fermi graphic card For my curriousity, I wanted to push it a little harder. I tried to play COD4, MW2 and Black Ops and set my expectation to low (really low). But, to my suprise, WOW sweet potato, this GTS 450 performs better that I expected - extremely impressinve. Setting the resolution to 1920x1080, it had no trouble operating these titles. The settings had been set to high and 2x AA Ɣx AA for COD4) - no sluttering. It's teaming up with a Phenum II X4 810 at the core (nothing fancy for a media Computer). Mind you, I do have a gaming rig for my self with dual GTX 480's in SLI teaming up with Intel i7-965 (this GTS 450 will not win the trophy in this residence, by the way). So, what I'm attempting to say is for these who are on a budget, this card will give you the best return for your hard earn $$.Advised! Grab 1 or 2 and save!

Performs like a charm in my new make ... core i7-870 w/ ASUS P7P55D-E M/board. Recoginized by Win7 no dilemma, and Windows identified (over world wide web) & auto updated the driver for me. So far, so fantastic -- great decision & priced correct also. none Dual DVIs and a mini-HDMI output. What much more could you want? :) Note that a DVI->VGA adapter and a mini-HDMI to "standard" HDMI adapter are both integrated.

Price, Packaging, DX11, HDMI, 5 year warranty, accessories. None yet This card was a good catch at the time of buy for me and was the motivating element for my buy. I had grabbed it at 79.99 following mail in rebate. The packaging is wonderful here, PNY has spared no expense in preparing the way this card ships. The plastic that holds this card in spot locks it into spot allowing no movement at all. The plastic also encloses it in a way that permits it to take a beating devoid of risking any damage to the card. This card comes all the adapters you want here, a HDMI to mini hdmi connector, VGA to DVI connector, 2 free films and a Starcraft 2 trial.Soon after registering this card (you have 90 days to do this on PNY's internet site) you get a 5 year warranty.

Was able to get this at just ๩ soon after rebate. Its a reference card but boy let me tell you this overclocks likes a champ!! PNY really out did themselves on this card. They pair it with a 5 year warranty if you register it which is unheard of in this value-range. Card plays fairly significantly every thing I've thrown at. Yes it can play Crysis pretty much maxed out but only on smaller monitors񢃀 X 900 or much less). Card itslef stays awesome around 27c idle and under no circumstances more than 58c (Overclocked) Card comes with decent accessories such as an HDMI dongle, two totally free films, and Starcraft 2 Trial card itself is kinda bland searching but who cares proper? Refused to make my coffee in the morning. Any gamer on a budget must take a extended look at this card.

Very good cost, failry quiet fan. Double width, but not extra extended. Some apps had been really rapidly but Paraview (scientific visualization) beneath Linux was disappointingly slow. The drivers on the included CD aren't quite current - not a biggie. The 400 series has a lot of hype, but maybe not the greatest overall performance over the 200 series or even the old 9800's. Do your investigation.

-Outstanding performance for value being 贍.99 if you get the rebate-Extremely cool, I have a screenshot in HWMonitor of this issue idle @ 25c in an 18 C space in a cold region in Canada. It typically runs @ 29c when I'm undertaking light tasks. It maxes out for me @ 57c when I'm playing Prototype, GTA IV, or Devil Could Cry four @ 720p on a 32" lcd-Fairly substantially maxes almost everything I have out save a really few games-Really slightly improved efficiency in Adobe Photoshop CS4-five Year warranty card @ 贍 thats like ฦ.00 a year for a great video card guaranteed! -Perhaps the hdmi is not operating very effectively on it? It has lower good quality than the dvi out. I don't care anyway I dont care about employing hdmi.-Can't run GTA IV on high settings on ൨ lcd like I thuoght it would, probably didn't do enough study, nonetheless looks wonderful on medium -No custom heatsink would typically be a downer, but with my existing heat readings its a neutral thought but why didn't they give it a custom heatsink?-As any piece of hardware these days, the only genuine appreciation is when you make a genuine "upgrade" which means something comparatively drastic. If you upgrade from anything close its range the gts 450 doesn't appear that excellent these days, but for these of us who don't upgrade yearly or even bi-yearly then this is in fact a stellar deal. Install was effortless. Graphics are fantastic. The free of charge software is a trial and no big deal. I guess you need to list a "con" and so far that's all I got. The card functions fantastic which is why I purchased it. Installed and ran two Sony 19" monitors, looked great. Purchased two Hans G 28" monitors, operates excellent. The Sony had a small greater contrast, but the huge ones make the workflow very uncomplicated for Photoshop.
