Cons: Too big.... not!

Pros: Good price for a 27' monitorA wide range to adjust its setting
Comment:
It's a big upgrade for me from a 18.5' wide screen acer. It feels a bit too big in the beginning, but it isn't too hard to get used to it after awhile. I prefer my monitor to be dimmer so it doesn't hurt my eyes, and surprisingly this monitor can be dimmed pretty well just the way I like it. I haven't got the chance to try out the speakers, but this monitor is really awesome so far. One thing that bothers me though... my desk isn't big enough to put it further :).

Cons: -Only 1080p-Does not wake from standby mode

Pros: -Good price for a 27" monitor-Fast response time
Comment:
I got this at the great sale price of $240. It's good for watching movies and TV shows but for gaming I would recommend getting a higher resolution monitor if you want to play games at high details with all the eye candy enabled.A very annoying issue is that the monitor will not wake from standby mode when you press a key on the keyboard or move the mouse. The only way is to turn the monitor off, then on, or to press either the Input select  or SPLENDID/Adjust Button(I can't remember which one right now, off the top of my head). This is still a great monitor to use for the time being until the prices for higher resolution 27" and 30" monitors come down.

Cons: Needed calibration out of the box

Pros: Good value, Boxing week sale
Comment:
As I get older my eyes aren't so good so I bought a 27" monitor. I was going to by one with a higher resolution in the end I figured that the 1920x1080 would be alright. Once I set the monitor up I quickly realized I should have spent the money and got the higher resolution. For the money this is a good value. I have had to spend time calibrating the monitor because out of the box the picture was off

Cons: Relatively thick compared to a lot of leds,Large HDMI Logo in top left of monitor, Single dead pixel out of the box.

Pros: Excellent Picture Quality, Good Color Reproduction, No issues with motion at all
Comment:
The quality is fantastic aside from the single dead pixel (have not attempted to repair yet). No issues with motion on the couple games and videos I tried. Cant comment on the speakers or the stand as neither will be used. The HDMI logo in the top left is oversized and detracts from the monitors overall clean appearance. Overall very happy with the monitor, Will end up with 2 more eventually (once NCIX decides to find the payment for my 2nd Ill consider ordering a 3rd)

Cons: No USB.

Pros: All types of connectivity. DP, DVI, HDMI, VGA. Big & bright.Simple set-up. Menus are quite intuitive.ASUS reputation
Comment:
I got two of these and I have to say they are both better than I was hoping. No buyers remorse whatsoever. No dead pixels on either. No frills simplicity but they still look great. I was told that TN Panels don't look the same depending on your viewing angle but my eyes can't detect any deficiencies from any angle. I was very surprised by the weight. Deceptiviely light. My almost decade old 18" Dell 4:3 LCD weighs much more.My only complaint is the lack of USB. I just like to be able to quickly plug a USB cable into my monitor and not need to have an extra hub acting as a dust magnet on the desktop. That aside - - a great product. Well done ASUS.

Cons: - Poor vertical angle of view- Not the best contrast ratio on the market (but excellent for the price target though)- No integated webcam- Almost not flimsy stand... but definitely a bit too small

Pros: - Excellent quality for the price- Very accurate color reproduction (enough to do graphic design and editing)- Excellent responsiveness for a 60 Hz monitor thanks to "Trace free" option - Adjustements are very usable and handy- Gorgeous size !!!
Comment:
I've just moved from a excellent, 22 inches Samsung screen to this Asus 27 inches monitor. I've compared both side by side and the difference is stunning. The contrasts and the color reproduction are very good. Watching movie adjusting the Trace free option is a real pleasure and makes you almost feel like you're using a 120 Hz monitor for a much more decent price. All in all, a very good choice for the price !

Cons: Sits quite low to the MT276 (I traded that for this). I find it has to be raised up for the average desk height. Always looking down from a fold up chair. Get a wall mount. NO REMOTE! Even despite the bad stand, no remote like the MT, it is such a good panel it is not worth loosing a star!

Pros: This is the best 27" screen around right now. The Black levels are very rich, unlike other washed out screens. (This coming from a video editor). The colors are very accurate for a non-professional screen too. Not perfect, but also not $2000! The sound is actually not that bad for what it is.
Comment:
I also got this before NCIX had them. I upgraded from the MT version of this screen, because I did not like how black was washed out on that screen. When I first powered this baby up, WOW, night and day from the Samsung and Asus MT 27" screens. Response time, although rated the same is absolutely better. I am in awe of this awesome screen...especially for under 400!!!! If your a gamer, the best one you can get (I have all the current models in this size). If you are a video editor, you will be satisfied with this...especially if you do not have the cash for a certified colour accurate screen.

Cons: -viewing angles not the best-60hz-resolution is a bit low for this size

Pros: -good price for the size-the built in speakers are nice for people with space issues-lots of inputs
Comment:
picked this monitor up for my new gaming rig as we had purchased several of these at work and thought they were good bang for the buck. A big steph up from my old LG 20" lcd. One of my favourite features is actually the built-in speakers, I had no idea this had them until I had already ordered it - and it's great for people like me who live in a small apartment with a tiny computer desk and don't want to be wearing headphones constantly. the 1080p resolution actually seems a bit low for a monitor this size, but for gaming it can actually be a good thing as you can play with maxed out settings at native resolution, instead of having to decide between non-native res or non-maxed out settings. The colour reproduction seems good, and the menu is easy to use. As it is a TN panel, the viewing angles are noticeably poor, but if you're using it for straight-on gaming its mostly a non-issue. Regardless, a good value - especially if you can get it on sale or open boxed!

Pros: Calibration out of the box is set really well.Never have any dead pixels with the Asus monitors.Great black levels.
Comment:
I got this monitor for my brother who was using a Samsung monitor that went haywire and kept switching through sources. I've been a strong Asus supporter and have bought a whole range of products from Asus and they have all worked for me for a very long time. The monitor is fairly inexpensive compared to most 27in monitors. The color calibration straight out of the box seemed very well done but could use a bit of tweaking depending on what the room conditions are. The color balance seems a bit off but you could easily fix that with your GPU software.

Cons: - TN Panel, but it's REALLY not as bad as people say- Sub par viewing angles, but not an issue if you don't sit at an angle to you monitor...

Pros: - No ghosting!- Good colours- Awesome size- Nice build/look- Decent price- Display port and HDMI
Comment:
I've been using a 32" TV with really low resolution for a while and getting really sick of the low res (awful for pretty much anything), and was wanting a nice 24"-27" monitor. So I bought a BenQ EW2730 without really thinking (it was on a pretty good sale) and that's when I realised there's different panels in monitors...the ghosting with that monitor was absolutely awful, anything semi-fast moving left blurs and streaks everywhere, and playing games just really hurt the eyes. After lots of searching I bought this and it's immensely better. I don't notice the difference in colours from the BenQ, the viewing angles are a little worse, but the response time and ghosting are so low you really don't think about it anymore.Love this monitor. Great size, great price, and even the on screen menu is nice (better than BenQ's, even with that remote).Recommend to any movie-watcher, gamer, or person who looks at moving things on their screen. Don't get an MVA panel monitor.

Comment:
I bought this monitor to replace a 24" Samsung (BX2431) that I loved. I was skeptical on changing brands as Samsung has been great for me, but man am I happy I bought this monitor. The colour and contrast on this monitor are top notch. The matte black design around the monitor edge is minimalistic and doesn't take away from screen images like some glossy finishes do.The picture-in-picture mode is a nice feature to have, but I haven't used it yet.The on-screen menus are easy to navigate to and allow you to change things like contrast, colour balance, etc.The response time on this monitor is perfect for gaming. I use the HDMI input with my 360 to game and I have had no issues.I was also skeptical on the 27" size for my desk (coming from a 24"), but I love the larger screen size. Not too big!

Pros: sizeresolutioncolours (after calibration)manual controls
Comment:
I bought it with my new computer (assembly done by NCIX). First, the monitor was too bright and washed out, as some owners already wrote about it. I have Intel mobo DZ68DB – it include graphics (HDMI, DVI, DP) and HD audio – I have no additional graphic card. This monitor is connected to HDMI output as no.1 and my old Acer to DVI (with VGA adapter) as no.2 monitor. They work together or independently well. I use it for the photo editing and colours were just off. I duplicated display on both monitors and started to play with the manual settings. Theater mode helped a bit, but it still was not right. I took photos from my rooms and displayed them to see colours and compare them with the actual colours (e.g. walls) – and made adjustments. My final setting are as follows:COLOR: Brightness 27, Contrast 100, Saturation 100. Color Temp.: User mode: R 32, G 53, B49; Skin tone: Natural. Then I checked settings using Windows 7 display calibration. You can go it, just type dccw in search box at the start icon and follow the instructions. You can find details here : http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/window-on-windows/how-do-i-calibrate-my-computer-displays-best-color-settings/2924I did not have to change my manual settings. My colours are now deep, I do not need sun glasses and am now happy with my monitor.

Cons: It can be a tad bright out of the box, but you can fix that with theatre mode. The stand takes some force to adjust so it's kind of scary doing so. I can't knock the speakers as I haven't used them yet.

Pros: This monitor is big, the colours are great, the stand is solid. Overall a great monitor, especially on sale. Picture in picture mode is pretty cool.

For 300$ this monitor is amazing. I bought this for my racing rig setup so I use it for my PS3 and PC. It's amazing. No dead pixels at all. I just wished I could have a remote to adjust the sound but this is not a desktop TV and you don't really buy this monitor for it's internal speakers. Still for 300$ this 27" is the best for the money.

Cons: cannot be viewed from extreme angles

Pros: bright screen with great colours, fairly thin bezels with no glossy finish
Comment:
I purchased a total of 3 for my triple monitor setup which looks great because i was looking for a 27" monitor that had thin bezels with no glossy finish with a reasonable cheap price point. Been using them for awhile now and I'm very satisfied with the results, no dead pixels on any of them or light leakages at the sides of the screen and bezels that some ppl say. i dont use the audio speakers on the monitors as i did once to try them out, they turned out to be total garbage even a set of cheap earbuds had better sound quality, so i wouldn't recommend using them for your main speakers. also wish it had the magicangle technology like the samsung monitors have which allow them to be viewed from any angle, but then again with this price and for me the thin glossless bezels are my selling points for this monitor.

I just got this monitor (VW278Q) and have being using it for the past few hours. My impression of this monitor thus far is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!! It is as if I'm looking at an IPS monitor but with a fast response of a TN panel, and it's a TN pannel. I had a Viewsonic VX2753HM-LED before this and I was utterly dissapointed. The colors were washed out, poor black level, text isn't as crisp as this one...it was just quite awful compare to the one i'm looking at right now To my surprise that Splended does work fantastically and really brings out the bold vibrant eye poppig visual experience, it's not just another marketing crap. I was just looking back at some old hd 1080p boring wallpapers and oh my gosh they aren't bored to look at all! I'm just loving this monitor so so much and all for just $300. It's the best monitor I've ever purchased
