Cons: A bit louder than I would like for a home theater case but switching out the stock fans would help this.

Pros: Tons of room. Fits full sized motherboards and video cards. Included remote is awesome.

I've had this case in my home theater for over a year now and I love it. The built in IR support give it great value and the fact that it fits regular sized components means you don't spend as much time picking components based on size and can go for performance instead. The only real problem one might have with this case is that it's a bit noisy and I have one fan which needs replacing as it occasionally gets unbalanced and makes a lot of noise. That being said I never made any attempt to make the thing quieter by replacing stock fans etc so I have no real right to complain.

The best HTPC cases I found in this price range. Solid construction with plenty of room for all of the necessary components. The included remote and front display both work well. The remote takes some getting used to, but works well for movies and TV. It is not a replacement for a kb & ms if you want to play games or surf the web. The fans are slightly noisy, but can easily be replaced if so desired. Not a deal breaker IMO. Cable management is somewhat tight, but imagine that is the norm in any HTPC case. Modular PS would help, but not a necessity.

This is a great case for anyone looking to build a home theater system, but be very selective of the operating system you plan on using. The current drivers offered on the CD that comes with the case as well as the updated drivers offered though both Thermaltake's and Soundgraph's web site will not support the LCD display in Windows 7 64-bit.

This is a really high quality case. The ATX board fit fine, but with wiring, it does get tight, so planning will help. The display works flawlessly in 7.

With this case my PC is now part of my home stereo system instead of office equipment. I'm running Windows 7 ultimate with media center and use it like a Tivo with the remote, or like a PC with a keyboard and mouse. Just make sure you toss the disk and download the latest version from sound graph. For the bad: drive bays are a bit close to the motherboard making some SATA ports unreachable. A 'guide' button on the remote for the TV guide would be a nice feature. The two 60mm fans in back are a bit louder than I'd like. Considering how this is recent for PC technology, they have done an excellent job with this hardware software combo. There are some cooler cases out there, but nothing even close to this price range.

Just built an HTPC recently and used this case. I've had it up and running now for about a week. So far so good. Two relatively minor complaints: (1) The stock fans are fairly noisy and they don't come with adapters to allow you connect them to the motherboard (so that the motherboard can control the speed). (2) Although this case is rated for both ATX and uATX motherboards, I can say that it was a tight fit with the ATX. The directions give you decent overall instructions on the best order to install everything, but I ended up having to go back and pull out the DVD drive, hard drives, and rear case fans so that I could get the motherboard in place. Recommendations: If possible, go with a uATX motherboard. Also, space can get tight in this case, so do yourself a favor and get a modular power supply like the Ultra X3 series. I didn't get a modular power supply, and it works fine. But if i had to do it over again, i would def go modular.

What an amazing case. I was so excited to get it even if I was building the computer for someone else. the quality of the case is great. Everything went in piece of cake. Once it is on the VFD is clear and easy to read. The iMon software and remote is great, and the mouse feature of the remote is not too bad. It is a little touchy, but it works well. After you get this case you will want all your computers to be able to turn on and off with a remote control! It couldn't hurt if the case was $199.99, but you get what yo pay for. A high quality case that is the perfect addition to your entertainment center! Just buy it!

This case is well worth the money. Having the ability to turn the pc off with the remote is a great benefit. The case is near silent and blends in nicely with my surround sound equipment. This makes a great addition to your entertainment center.

I purchased this case 1 year ago and I would buy it again! The IMON software is getting updated on regular bases and the new HD software features allow you to include network drives and PCs to be added to your entertainment selections. I knocked it down on the features and quality because, the cable management could be much better. As mentioned in another post you want a power supply that lets you remove unused cables. The 60mm fans at the back stopped working after a few months. The remote will separate if you drop it (it snaps back together) but keep it away from the kids and maybe order a backup just in case. Overall, I would buy it again and all of my friends are awed by how clean it looks from the outside and how easy it is to use. My three year old daughter uses the remote selects and plays her movies with ease! When compared to other HTPC Cases on the market this one is the best at the price and user ability.

Sweet case and for the price, can't beat it. I was weary at first buying because I wanted to keep the price low. Saw on Ebay for less, but not very trusting like TigerDirect. Shipping was fast and perfect and thats on all my buys. Case has plenty of room. Yes it will be better to have a PS with detachable cables, but still manageable if not. I love it that the remote powers my pc. I have an amazing bluray/pc/gaming/audio/video/pic system for about $1200. With the case my friends thought I paid 2 grand or so. Thanks TD.

Cons: Hard drive cooling not very adequate. A bit pricey

Pros: Looks very good sitting with the rest of the A/V equipment. Very quiet and can fit your full size 8800 cards
Comment:
This is the 2nd HTPC I've built in the last 6 months. The first one, I used the Silverstone Lascala LC 16. The nice thing about the Thermaltake DH-101 is that full size video cards will fit and the case comes with 3 very quiet fans that keep the air moving throughout the case. The buttons and case look and feel very solid and doesn't feel cheap at all. The only thing that wasn't so great was that for an HTPC, the case comes only with 3 internal slots for hard drives but if you use all 3, the hard drives become very warm as there is no direct cooling. There is however 2 internal 5.25 bays but you would have to purchase a seperate adapter for it.Had this case had a better cooling for the hard drives, it would be a 5
