Ordered a D Inspiron 1501 that came with 1gb RAM and running Vista. I had thought that it was slow due to it being a "craptop" computer. Turns out that Vista was choking on only 1gb RAM. Now with 2gb it still is not my homebuilt desktop but operating apps is considerably smoother which includes boot/shutdown occasions. Doesn't make toast. Newegg has been my memory supplier for years.

From a famed organization, affordable, shipping was quickly but that goes to newegg. NONEYou hear that-- NONE I installed this in my laptop, a Compaq Presario F700 which contained 1GB default. I can clearly see the difference among 1GB RAM and 2GB RAM in terms of faster processing power and less boot up time. MY LAPTOP WITH VISTA BOOTS UP IN 11 SECONDS, NOW THAT IS One thing. Anything runs significantly far better on Vista now. I upgraded from just 1GB RAM and it is ridiculously better now. Games are superior along with just normal programs and start out up times. installed ok intermittent boot failures with my Compaq Presario F759WM laptop. Had to RMA it. Normally had very good experience with this brand in the past, but that's kinda how it is with hardware; most of the time it is compatible, from time to time it isn't. This time it wasn't.

i placed this memory into a dell XPS M140. on the dell net website the mem was listed at the spec's of the corsair. to my shock the mem in the dell was pc4200, but hey the corsair memory worked as anticipated and as often. great speeds no troubles direct hookup one pay a visit to to the bios and no problems's properly this is why i give a reduced evaluation. delivery was to come by way of dhl 3ǝ day's. delivery 9 days, but that wasn't the primary challenge. newegg gave me a tracking # for dhl that was not a valid ##. so no tracking there. then newegg showed the package was passed on to ups. tracking ### was also invalid their as effectively. on the 8thday i wrote a complaint to newegg about this, no reply came. for 2 days. the package was delivered on the 9th evening but not by DHL or UPs, but by the USPS. i nevertheless dont know if it was dhl passing the buck or what.

Price tag point is nothing short of amazing and these Dims run excellent in my Acer Extensa 4420! None I keep debating about the 4GB version of this RAM, but my system holds up perfect with Vista 64-bit and has no lags.
