Cons: -3D lag time, at least 30 seconds to kick in or out-no direct frame interpolation or iris control on the remote control.-fan noise is noticeable on high as is the auto iris.

Pros: -very bright picture cuts thru ambient light with not problem-3D performance picture quality is very good thanks to the high lumens-exceptable black levels
Comment:
I've had this projector and clocked in just over 40 hours now. I was initially frustrated with the performance of the 3D lag time. I didnt know that the projector took up to 30 seconds to play 3d and the projector would simply do nothing or even let me know on screen to please wait while 3d started. I kept stopping the bluray player thinking that was the problem. Any how once I figured out that part and better understood how the projector performed, i'm very satisfied with my purchase. I used the price match feature offered by ncix and got a no hassle slightly better price from that of a competitor. A good way to pay for one of the 3D glasses I must say. The w7000 is very bright projector, i used the cinema mode for all my viewing. This is more than enough lumens to project on my 106" screen even with some ambient light on. For when the windows are open I use user 3 isf day. This brightens up the picture significantly and doesnt blow out the contrast such as its brightest mode, dynamic. Lamp setting is normal, which is the brightest lamp mode. Im not so picky at black level performance which seems to be the holy grale with so many reveiewers out there. I just want a good looking sharp image with good colour performance. Black level performance is good but not great, not enough however to make me think about it other than for this review. I like sharpness in an image, i've read a few reviews that claim great sharpness in the image. I'm a tad bit disapointed in the performance in this regard. While it is sharp, its not what i would say as razor sharp especially to my last projector the sharp z-3000.I've never really played with frame interpolation on a device before, I must say this is a noticeable improvement in the fluidness of the images. I kept this on the low mode for all modes, but i do notice an almost artificial feel to it on movie viewing where I was disctracted to the point of noticing every move of the camera that was filming any give shot. A good feature though for tv and sports viewing, and on some movie viewing such as 3d mode. 3D performance as I said was good. There is only one picture mode. Frame interpolation and the dynamic iris both work. I did disable the iris for this mode as I found it to add just a tad of brightness to the image. Turning brilliant color off also brightens the image by at least 15% which is a welcome bonus. I was more than satisfied with the content that I viewed. The Benq 3D glasses however while they reduced the overall brightness by more than 50%, I found them a bit heavy and uncomfortable after extended viewing. I also wasnt a fan of the way you change the lithium batteries. This requires you needing a tiny precision screw driver to access the battery compartment which itself is super fragile with tiny plastic teeth underneath that click in to the housing. I actually broke these tiny teeth while opening the lid, a really recommend ensuring you fully slide the lid up as the direction of the arrow states before lifting the cover. So in summary im very satisfied with this projector, 2d blurays look absolutley gorgeous to the image this projector paints on my screen, the vertical lens shift offers a good deal of play when setting up which for me is mounted on a 6ft stand 15' back from the screen. Your more than likely able to get a perfect picture position to whever you place the projector but i'd recommend placing the projector far back from the viewing area as the fan noise and the auto iris is audible at close proximetry but still not a big distraction especially if you have a great sound system to mate up with this projector. Initially I did have the projector right up behind the viewing area and was able to see a bit of light reflection in the 3D glasses coming from behind, so moving the projector further back and losing a bit of brightness eliminated this glare. Oh and this projector does alot of light leakage from all sides of the housing, not enough however to impact the screen unless placed really close to the screen but this projector is not really suitable for coffee table viewing unless your viewing area is significantly away from the screen. Hope you find this review interesting and helps in deciding with your decision to purchase. #D projection, a super bright 300 watt lamp, beautiful color, frame interpolation all for under $2500, is a steal. go get it. sam

Cons: 3d takes at least 40 seconds to kick in. No 3d glasses included.

Pros: Very sharp picture. Very bright projector.
Comment:
Very sharp picture. Very bright projector. No problem filling up my 150" screen. 3d works great. No ghosting in 3d and I couldn't see any rainbow effect. Black levels are also good. I run it in econo mode and it's very quit. In 3d it runs in normal mode and you can here the fan if the volume is turned down.
