Place this inside my Mac Pro for holding media & backups. I get great speeds of about 100MB/sec between my internal drives, and a small bit slower going from this drive to an external via FW800. Newegg rocks for speed of delivery and ease of RMA. I have a higher level of confidence in WD and hope this is just a fluke. WD has earned a higher level of respect from my computer repair organization so I was Incredibly disapointed with a DOA specifically when it is very obviously marked "Enterprise Storage"...good issue I had not trusted any Enterprise level information to it.
