I bought this as my OS hard drive. I was considering a SSD but opted out and just got a high performance HDD. So far, the choice has not been a disappointing one and this HDD has been performing within my expectations. |

Very reliable drive for a gaming system, i have had no issues so far playing mmorpg which can be quite taxing on some hard drives, i know this because i lost 2 7200 rpm drives to these games already, if you are going to use them for gaming or any other demanding activity i recommend to still add a cooling option for them if you are able to. |

I got this to be my main OS drive opting out of the SSD market at this time. It's an awesome drive and loads nice and quick. No noticeable noise on read/write inside my super quite case. |

Unlike regular desktop drives, with a 40%~100% improvement in latency or loading speed, you will notice a improvement over traditional hard drives.Infinite write cycles means that you need not worry about replacing a SSD drive every 6 months, plus having the ability to recover data which SSD drives do not usually utilize.Could be a bit quicker, use in RAID to get extra bang for the buck.Could be higher in capacity if they used the actual 3.5" size.
