Really like Western Digital...Rapidly when they worked Ran 2 in raid ...1 failed got hot , lagged , then crashed ...ate the loss, then reformat to 1 drive , it fails each within 3 months. two key data loses in three months on primary computer system in the middle of semester... lost yet another WD green drive in my RAID five in server two weeks prior to this...All drives described less than 1 year old. Very disappointed with Western Digital as of late...Submitted RMA on WD's internet site returning both this week. Appears genuinely poor for them when I have a stack of lightly utilised still new looking drives on my desk waiting to be shipped. I am a long time buyer but i will be searching for other selections come drive time... These drives have some sketchy critiques HEED THEM, obtain a distinct model number if you are on the fence like I was. Seems to be a motor issue, drive draws abnormal amps sad to see a single of my favorite hardware corporations sacrifice top quality for units sold...they make great drives just not all the time...sub par batches make it via. just a matter of time till you get hit, if you are developing a big RAID stagger purchases over time.

-Fast-Relatively affordable -32mb cache I meant to get the 64mb cache model but accidentally bought this one particular. First a single was DOA but newegg was very excellent with the return procedure. Quick drive, quiet but runs a small hot. Great high functionality drive. Useful for speed freaks or these who want a quick OS drive, although i would recommend a smaller sized size drive for that objective

Dose what the add says it shuold. I have fantastic air flow in my cooler master storm scout case and the temps are fine on this drive. none in about a year of use. You can spend much more for more quickly drives, but just playing my games and acquiring on line this has been a fantastic drive.

Very rapidly shipping, installed rather very easily. Setting it up was a cinch although I am nonetheless not certain about the size of my partitions, that will stay to be observed. five minutes soon after installing I have beginning my initially backup so I can get my secondary O/S installed. It has been working incredibly well. No errors or problems with computer software set up. Disk verify had not detected any poor sectors or difficulty. Value was some what a decision on selection. Price for this drive was much better that average. Apparent hit or miss with fantastic difficult drives (See beneath).
