I have been very impressed with this hard drive. I was a bit sceptical about it being 'green', but when I put it in, I believe I will stick with the power saving stuff. It runs a touch warmer than a standard HD, but I think it is well worth it. |

I bought this a few months ago for its storage capacity. I originally wanted 1TB but due to the 1 out of 3 going bad, I decided to go with one smaller. I have no problems and it's doing really well with the software and games I have stored. I have room for four more, and I am about to buy second one now. It passed all durability tests and reliability. MOJO |

Placed in my computer with easy. Very fast running Windows 7 with dual boot to Vista both 64bit. I have enjoyed putting all my files back (yes new start no backup made) all was very fast and smooth. Now file time into overdrive. bg |

Got a pair of these for offsite backups. They are great for that. Cheaper than their more performance oriented brothers and all the capacity. I acquired these for much cheaper than they list now, so I don't know how the value comparison stands at this time. |

I've always choose WD because of their quality. They run cool and quiet. I've never had a problem with them.Used this in my HTPC and it runs great, no errors or issues.Would buy it again. Recommended. |

Cons: - Unlike OEM Seagate drives, it doesn't come with any jumpers for those who need to set this drive to SATA 1.5 Gbit/s speed.- Somewhat slower than regular drives.

Bought it to replace my dying OS drive. No problem so far after 3 months. Not as slow as I expected but noticeably slower than my 640GB black drive. Great for a media drive, but may be a bit slow for an OS drive. |

Great drive if performance isn't the main concern. I'm using 2 of these in a home fileserver and they're great. Quiet, with energy saving features that come handy in a 24/7 machine. I wish the warranty was 5 years, but then at this price 3 years is good enough. |

WD HD are very reliable and that one really did the job but I'm almost out of space (5%). I will have to choice to go with a 1TB HD but I'm pretty sure I will use it up before the month end. =)Once again...WD rocks!!! |
