Not once did it ever give me the slightest bit of trouble. I have 4 of these drives bought each few months (for ๩ on sale from Newegg). I preserve obtaining them because they function flawlessly. No challenges with the spindown, and it spins back up speedily. Note, there is no power switch -- have to pull the plug. Not a major deal for me. This is the finest 2tb USB external on the industry in my opinion (if you don't thoughts the lack of a energy switch).

LOTS OF SPACE! It looks incredibly nice as well! I like that it comes with an external power cord since some of the newer externals with usb energy from time to time don't give adequate energy. I dropped it from quite higher and it didn't effect the drive at all, so it has fairly very good durability.
