This is my first external drive. It is perfect for backups and any data I care about. Also, it is compatible with my little media player, WD Play. And it has a 3 year warranty. I am pleased with this product. |

This drive is perfect if you just want extra storage that's extremely portable. Having it powered off of USB saves a lot of hassle. The only downfall is that it's not a very quick drive. I can't remember exactly, but I think it copied files around 50MB/s (though this is still much better than most USB drives).Definitely recommended. |

Pros: Very small, no need for power supply, and fast (USB 3.0), it is perfect to transfer data to another computer who has internet data limit. Comment:
I use this when I have to install/upgrade software on my mom`s computer, she has a crappy internet provider with very low data limit, so I download all before on this drive. |
Purchased this for the wife to back up her MBP. Works like a charm once I formatted it with exfat. Crazy that it comes formatted with NTFS, but not really a big deal. They have to format it with something to put the included software on (which I'm not using). Regardless I'd still rate this drive 5 stars. On sale it was a great deal for something this form factor.
