Cons: A bit big so if you got lots of USB peripherals, its hard to fit it in.

Pros: DLink, quality and support. All os' from MS are supported.
Comment:
Works well out of the box, USB makes it very handy for desktop PC, with out going to some PCI slot solution. Gets good signals, plus you can tweak and mod antennas.

Cons: -USB extension is so short

Pros: -Cheap-OK signal strength (wireless router one floor below the room)
Comment:
Worked on vista x86-64 after installing the driver from the CD. 2 USB extensions are included, one allows you to rotate and pivot the adapter, one just extends the USB port.

My computer spec(15month old computer)intel QUADCORE q66002giga ram100$ WORTH quite good video card(GIGABYTE)OS : WINDOWS XP HOMEI bought it yesterday to use for a desktop downstairs wherethere is no internet line connection.Install was as is as a piece of cake. I am subscribing SHAW's very high speed internet(20MB/second) to enjoy streaming video for drama or documentary from a certain website. Before choosing the ASUS adapter I was a little bit concerned about the signal dropping while while receiving because of the some reviewers' comment. But to my surprise THIS adapter works flawlessly.High resolution video watching over the wireless networknow is so easy.I watched movie with it for hours yesterdaywithout any disconnection problem. You know what I first thout about buying GIGABYTE IN-COMPUTER FIXED ADAPTER which is not flexible because it is not removable easily. After all ,ASUS made me happy again THANKS ASUS people foryour quality job. Cons: Limited range and speed, signal strength may be misleading

Pros: Small and portable, Compatible with Vista, inexpensive
Comment:
First of all, a very very important thing I've learned: to maintain a steady connection without it dropping on you every few minutes, make sure you change the power saving mode in the hardware - device manager. Simply disable the power saving mode that is turning off the USB adapter every few minutes. I bought this product after deciding to get rid of the network cable running from upstairs to downstairs. I have tried another product before this and that was a total failure. This one, so far, was not a total disaster like the last one, is still a learning experience. Upon first installation, the signal strength is so low, that it would not connect or keep connected. From the surface, it would seem to be set up issue or DNS address issue, but the ultimate cause is signal strength. For people who are trying to play with network settings, forget it. Almost all wireless connection issue is a variation of signal strength issue. I learned this after numerous try and error. Here are the things that I tried: playing with different set ups (disabling ASUS utility or disabling window zero config), USB connection locations (oddly enough, it stay connected if you plug in to the back panel instead of the front USB (USB ports that came with the cheap case). I've tried moving my computer to a different location, I've also tried using USB extension cable, not a good idea. I've tried removing the security key, helped a little but eventually decided it to be a bad idea. All in all, here's my conclusion if I haven't lost you so far with my rambling: The signal strength can say "very good" while actually being very weak in fact. You need a good software to measure signal strength accurately. And what I found out about this adapter is that it has a relatively weak signal strength that is limiting the speed and connectivity. I have two laptops at home with Atheros wireless chips. They connect with my d-link router without any problem and have smooth and good speed in every corner of the house and I live in a big house. This product, on the other hand, can be a problem if your desktop is on a different floor and the signal had to go through a few walls. It's just not powerful enough to handle a bigger area WLAN. The comparison between this product with my two laptops proves two things: 1. My router is good enough to provide good signal to my laptops while this product can not get a decent connection.2. Definitely people who had great experience with this product may not be very far away from the router. Conclusion: if you are using it not far away from the router (without 10 to 15 feet), then it may work just fine. But if you are using it on a different floor or in a room that has quite a few walls in between from the router, you may very likely experience headache induced by frequent connection drops and disappointing speed.

Pros: - Works great- Small
Comment:
Needed this, as my new X58 board only has one PCI slot and it's being used for my sound-card. Great little stick. Works just as good as my wireless PCI NIC card. I actually use Ralink's driver and software suite, which is better than the provided Asus set. Ralink makes the on-board chip inside the stick, so that's why their drivers work.Recommended.

Pros: Good rangeCheapVista x64 compatibleUSB
Comment:
Bought this adapter so I could get an internet connection on any systems I work with in my room. I only have one wired gigabit connection coming out of the wall to my main system and I did not want to drill another hole in the wall for another cable or buy a second gigabit switch. This was a cheaper solution.I was considering a PCI NIC, but this one seemed to have higher ratings and the USB interface will obviously be more versatile for what I'm using it for. It also has, so I hear, working Vista x86 and x64 drivers.I don't use it often, but it has so far given me no problems with drop-outs, etc. Range is fairly good, though I have seen better.

Pros: Ease of usePrice
Comment:
Purchase this because I didnt want wires all over my room, the installation was easy but fall into connection problem with the use of the software package that came with it. Had to use windows wifi connection instead and the signal is not as stable since I'm only 5feet away from the router...I am not using this right now as I need a more stable connection. I am not satisfied with this purchase.

Cons: Range is limited

Pros: Accessories, form factor (small), works under Linux
Comment:
I agree with E_H (april 16, 2008, review): range is limited. I bought this for a Windows XP pc 30 feet (and 3 walls) away from the router. Couldn't keep a stable connection. Then again, my Linksys WMP54G couldn't do it either (I got a stable connection with a D-LINK 2320).But for a PC that's closer, it's perfect: stable connection and as fast as you can get.

Pros: Signal StrengthGood Variety of Platform Drivers
Comment:
One of the best internet adapters I have used. Signal strength is strong, drivers are supported for pretty much any operating system.Works very well with Vista 64bit. The drivers have WHQL signing, easy to get working.$30 well spent compared to the $70 D-Link one I bought awhile ago.

Pros: not expensivecan be used on multiple computer
Comment:
I bought this pieces to be run on a vista ultimate, and i got the driver from asus on the web. i dont know if the trouble is the adaptor, or it is a software problem, but my downloadspped goes down everytime i open msn messenger, i have call the internet supplyer and everething in is part is ok. So, i plugued the good old rj45 cable to the back of the computer and use it instead. Maybe, it is vista, maybe it is the momo, or the adaptor, i just dont know.....

Cons: Weak signal, unreliable

Pros: Cheap, durable, wireless-g
Comment:
I bought this for a friend, he needed to upgrade his laptop card to support "wireless-g" so I found this, good price, but the signal was pretty weak. The router was upstairs (D-Link), and he was in the basement, roughly 20FT away with not much in between. The signal would die after a few minutes, restart, and die again. In the end, I had to use the "joystick" to find the right spot. I used my own laptop, and it was fine.

Cons: Ties up a USB port which some old lappy's can't afford.

Pros: Flexible. Good recpeption. Extra USB extending cord is a plus.

I picked up a couple of these and am impressed. Installed one on an XP laptop and it installed nicely and uses WPA properly. Does a good job. There is a hinge on the adapter itself and an USB extender cord which is a really nice touch.

Cons: small usb cable extension included

Pros: Compact, light, Connects at the advertised speeds
Comment:
Once it arrived it was well packaged and all the manual/drivers included. Installed easily and found the wireless network with no issues. Chose to use the ASUS wireless configuration utility instead of the windows one and it does an excellent job in how the it's setup. It allows easy access to all necessary config options. Made an old laptop viable again.

Pros: Cheap, and Works
Comment:
It works, its small and works good too, kinda gets too hot if its run for long, and am worried about that, and what shocked me more was the damn usb extension cable, which is even smaller than the wireless card itself, and really was disappointed with that as i wanted to place the receiver in my window but.....

Cons: Linux driver support is below satisfactory

Pros: USB, portable, works OK on Linux once you figure out how to get it working
Comment:
I can see how this would be a nice little device to have if you're running Windows, but if you're running Linux, I would probably look into getting a WIFI card or possibly another brand that has better Linux support. Don't bother with the Linux drivers that come with the CD, the instructions are almost unreadable; instead get the RT73 serialmonkey drivers (you can google it). It's really easy to install and the instructions are easier to follow.
