Cons: On first boot computer was crashing after upgrade to F23 works fine, little on noisy side fans always on after tweaking setting much better sound levels
Pros: Did extensive research looking for radiance type screen online forms Hp Envy 14-1050CA list with 1366 X 768.After viewing forms Radiance screen is no longer available 1600 X 900 very high contrast 952:1 with wide color 82 % Envy 14-1050CA sold at NCIX list only 1366 X768 res seams to be misprint is upgrade screen to 1600 X 900 res. which is $200.00 upgrade option.Purchase on fist annual werehouse sale in Markham, drop in late after 2:00 p.m look around found open box look at specs side of box.yes is upgrade screen paid $699.00 amazing deal.My first consumer notebook only buy business case notebook.My eyes was amaze screen is best i ever seen beautiful color after calibration screen color was very close to my HP LP2475 24.in ips screen great viewing angles better color than my MacBook Pro 15Highly Recommend |

At first I had issues with the machine freezing, but with a BIOS update to f.23 the issue was fixed.Discrete GPU good enough for games, but I wish the laptop came with a HDMI to VGA/DVI adapter for projectors. The switchable graphics has to use the drivers from HP - not ATI as I believe there are some customizations. I tried several different update d drivers and the switchable graphics functonality didn't work properly.Boots Windows fairly fast with a 7200 RPM drive, programs load with little delay and the system comes with Adobe premier and photoshop elements as a bonus. Once you decrapify the system its good to go.Can run several VMs at any given time and I would gladly recommend this system to another buyer on the go. Perhaps investment into the slice battery would be a good idea. |
For 700.00 is great deal with upgrade screen ,5.2 lbs is manageable great build quality not as good as MBP battery lift ok 4.5 Hrs
