Picked one of these up for $29.99. Installed Tomato, configured it and then never had to touch it again. Great unit!

Pros: Rock solid, no periodic reboot needed
Comment:
I am using 4 of these with dd-wrt and tomato. Super stable. I plan to purchase more to try a full mesh wireless network. They never crash, never need to be rebooted. I can't ask more from these !

I don't know why these were refurbished, but I picked up two, and so far they're working okay. The box is very ugly, but it includes all the expected accessories. Now that I've been using Tomato for so long, I find the stock firmwares in most routers to be unbearable. Seeing these on sale for $24.99/$29.99 was a blessing.I keep a stack of these around so that I can share the goodness that is Tomato with all my friends and family. You don't realize how good it is until you encounter a more regular router, and realize it doesn't even have Static DHCP or Port Forwarding that works. Cons: Really old hardware.only 802.11b/gslow cpu and low memory

Pros: Linux versionMany third party firmware available.price of the refurbished model are often unbeatable.
Comment:
At 29.99 sale price this is a good bargain.Easy to install third party firmware can do anything an expensive comercial router can do.A little bit slow by today standard, but it's still perfect for many task. The best solution to use for MLPPP DSL connection (for up to 3 lines)

Cons: Wi-Fi Range

Pros: Customization OpportunitiesCustom FirmwareSecurityFast
Comment:
Bought for $59.99 "on sale", got it a week later "Express".But, on a more serious note:The router is great, it's very customizable (I've flashed the Tomato firmware to it v1.28) and it's great.I didn't even bother looking through the default firmware's settings, I was set on doing Tomato even before purchasing the router. The upgrade was a breeze, I customized it to have multiple blacklists, static ips, etc.Wifi was pretty weak to be honest, I instead set up a dedicated wireless access point (a DI-524).Will purchase again, tempted at this sale.

Cons: Not wireless N, but you can't beat the price of a refubished unit!

Pros: Excellent router, runs dd-wrt or tomato very nicely.Nothing wrong with a refurbished unit. I've got another one I've been using for a number of years.
Comment:
The refurbished unit didn't come as shiny package as the new one did I got before but that doesn't matter. It's a great router! Using it as a wireless bridge for my xbmc so I no longer have a long network cable running around the house. As I said in the pros, dd-wrt and tomato both work on these routers very nicely. (Just remember to flash dd-wrt mini first.)

Cons: -None!

Pros: -Great price when on sale -3rd party support -Strong signal -Fast connection
Comment:
I bought this as a router for my down stairs so I could use it with my xbox 360. I used dd-wrt to turn it into a wireless bridge so i could use my 360 downstairs. Over all this is a very good and powerful router when teamed up with DD-WRT.

Pros: Best Router Ever
Comment:
Ok so after 3 years of using this router and having tried many others setting up LANs and WLANs for family and friends, this is by far the best I have ever used. Especially since I changed the firmware to Tomato. Options are excellent and range is superb on the WLAN, never had any dropping issues where I had to powercycled the device often, refurbished or not I do recommend this router

Cons: none so far

Pros: Solid product from sysco. good built quality, strong signal, excellent range. support for customized firmware.
Comment:
I got this for less than a month, and I was worried about the "refurbished" condition. But so far, works just fine, the range is excellent compare to my old trendnet, and I am only on half transmission power. Good support on ddwrt and tomato. The only thing i guess you have to be aware is that it is only three month warranty from sysco and not 1 year factory that NCIX told you.

Absolutely one of the best routers of all time. Used this with the Tomato firmware and the functionality and range of it is flawless. Range is pretty good too. It's also been working for 3 years and counting so it's reliable.

Cons: Getting oldAwful stock firmware

Pros: Decent signalNever cuts outSolid speed for a 'G' based router
Comment:
I actually had this stock firmware for... probably 1.8 years of it's life. Just recently i have flashed it with DD-WRT(mini) and i must say, this router was good before but now it's amazing.I would strongly suggest this to anyone with a budget in mind. Flashing to mini - DD-WRT firmware is foolproof. They have a walkthrough on their site, takes about 10-20min with reading and you will NOT regret it.If you don't need Wireless N(and most people don't) this is an absolutely solid router with the new firmware.

Cons: only 90 day warranty; plain box (hey, presentation matters!)

Pros: hackable right-out-of-the-box; stable; compatible with more clients than some N routers; nice price!
Comment:
Flashed with DD-WRT v24-preSP2 b13064 the moment after unboxing (easy as eating pie, as long as you flash the mini build first and then the std second) and it's been flawless since. Here's hoping it doesn't die exactly 91 days later! For all interested I got a V1.1 with detachable & upgradeable antennas.

The best wireless-G consumer router out there when paired with Tomato. Bought it as a spare in case my main one dies. Got it for $40 refurbished. No difference between this and the retail boxed one.
