I like this notebook very much. The Windows 8 Experience Index of it looks relatively good at its price too:Processor: 6.3Memory: 5.9Graphics: 4.2Gaming graphics: 6.0Primary hard disk: 5.9I have it connected to two external monitors through the HDMI and VGA ports to replace my old desktop. It is based on the low-end Core i3 processor and I find it a bit slow sometimes, however, for my home use, i.e. mostly emailing, web browsing and word processing, it is still adequate. The memory cannot be expanded, the only thing that can be upgraded is the hard drive, I will likely upgrade it with a 256 GB SSD (solid-state drive) later when the price of SSD drops even more. This notebook has the ultrabook's look and feel, but not the price, I highly recommend it. Another good point about it is even after hours of use, the case is only slightly warm, not hot at all. |

For the price this machine is great. Everything looks and feels really solid. If anything comes across as slightly cheap it is the display. Coming from the retina MBP I use for work I guess that's not surprising. I bought this machine primarily for use at home so the limited battery life is not an issue for me. I really like the single compact power supply.I replace the HDD with the Samsung 840 SSD. This was a really easy upgrade. I used Paragon Migrate OS software. Load times are very zippy though it wasn't that bad to begin with.I wanted to put Ubuntu on here side by side with Win 8 but it turns out that is a little more complicated due to the EUFI Secure Boot.So far very satisfied with this machine for the price especially comparing it to my wife's HP Envy Touch which is almost twice as much $. |

i have used many many laptops, but I gotta say, that this one, is the best, it has very fast boot up even with hdd, i thought it was a ssd when i first booted up. it also has a fairly small charger.the restarting problem(it chokes), I think that's just the problem from windows 8 itself, but it gets better the longer you use it, and try unplugging the usb mouse if you have one on yours, it might work(worked for me!. i highly recommend buying this, if your looking for a small, powerful netbook-ish notebook! |

Overall, very nice laptop, best value touchscreen ultrabook on the market now. Ordered 3 in total, told almost all of my friends.If the screen frame is smaller, it would be perfect. Plan to replace the hdd with a ssd, then it will beat the MBA so bad, hah |

Had this Vivobook for almost a week and I'm loving it!Fast boot up.Better battery life then what I've read in other reviews.Screen is a little too reflective, but acceptable.Suggest getting a screen protector!Asus has kept this laptop relatively clean compared to Acer and HP, where they load up their systems with all kinds of unwanted programs.Overall, I'm very happy! |

I have owned many laptops over the years, and it is probably the best laptop all-around I have ever owned. Upon opening the box when receiving the unit, I almost fell of my chair. This laptop is superb, metal type cover and surrounding keyboard. Rubbery bottom. Small square charger ''a la Apple''. Turned on the computer and was greeted with a superb touchscreen and great speed. Windows 8 is meant to be on a touchscreen and this laptop delivers. A MUST buy if your looking for a small, speedy, well buit laptop. Bravo Asus! |
Bought it for my girlfriend as she needed a new laptop for University. Cost wise it was awesone, she only needs a low end laptop top carry with word and power point....Im amazed for the price what you get. Would recommand to anyone!
