Cons: it comes with windows home edition instead of professional or ultimate

Pros: affordable price and light weight

has a number pad. feels good. keyboard doesn't feel cheap as some other people are saying. people are saying the cd drive doesnt feel strong but this is for all laptops and no one even uses the dvd drive much so doesnt really matter. im happy with my purchase.

Cons: Keyboard flexes a little.Build quality could be better.

Pros: Very Fast for a laptopGood looks.Nice clear screen.Good battery life.Price.
Comment:
On sale this Laptop is a bargain.I mainly use this for Adobe Lightroom and Raw files. It is fast and loads large raw files faster than expected. The HD is also quicker than expected. The build quality is a little less than I would expect from ASUS, but with an i5 cpu it should last into the future. If you mainly use it for MS word, you may want to look at a cheaper HP.If you do graphics and video this is a great laptop for the price.

Cons: - Not a backlit keyboard.. those are nice- No dedicated graphics processor- Speakers are sub-par- Quite a bit of bloatware but it's manageable

Pros: - Solid build- Higher quality than Dell- Good battery life- Nice extra features- Number pad- Looks awesome
Comment:
I bought two of these, one for my mom and one for my sis, and compared to the Dell I got last year for twice the price, they're quite nice. Better cpu than I've got, but no dedicated gpu so nice graphics games don't run so well unfortunately. Surprisingly lots of the bloatware is actually useful! Either way, with a 500Gb hard drive, 4Gb of RAM, Windows 7, and an i5 460m, any amount of bloatware won't slow this thing down. This thing also looks quite good, and the extra features like the touchpad's double finger scrolling and other things make it pretty appealing. I really like how the power cable is a 90 degree angle too.. my Dell's cable is messed right up from hitting it so many times. My biggest issue with it is the speakers but to be honest, you can't expect much from any laptop speakers wise. Though my Dell has much better ones. Overall, for the price and features it comes with, I gotta say this laptop was a great buy for the both of them.
