I bought the parts for new gaming rig and had some trouble with the motherboard that I also bought at the same time along with memory. I sent the motherboard back and the processor the without any hassel from TD who crossed shipped new items and credited my account within 48hrs when the damaged items were recieved back. I highly recommed TD to every one. |

Cons: The small connectors provided to attach the front panel USB & audio to the MB don't fit very tightly and would fall out with the slightest movement. The solution was to make the connections directly to the MB - which worked perfectly.

This is a great value MB and I am very happy with it. I have used it for a i7 920 build with 12GB ram (6x2GB) and a GTX260 video card sitting in a Haf 922 case. The temps are reasonable and the board provides a wealth of OC'ing options, most of which I have only begun to explore. The loose connector for the front-panel USB & audio connectors isn't really enough to take a star from this great value MB. |

Excellent BIOS options, easy setup, well laid out and cheap for an i7 board. IOH temperatures are a little high for taste, but still within spec. Built to replace an old 2.66 P4 and couldn't be happier. Board works great, well optioned and well equipped. Came with both Crossfire and SLI bridges. And either I'm color-blind or MSI used up their supply of brown circuit boards as mine is black (well, dark grey really). Looks immeasurably better than the one in the pictures. |

Cons: lack of PWM fan headers is annoying

This is simply the best value in an X58 equipped motherboard. Take a look at what the other manufacturers are offering, and see how much it costs. This board has an excellent feature set at an excellent price. It's been stable and quiet (love that the northbridge has a passive heatsink on it, a big change from my old machine.) I'm a bit disappointing that there's only one PWM fan header, just for the CPU, but for some reason it seems manufacturers are not offering this feature on many X58 boards, which I find strange given that it's enthusiast level gear. |

Cons: Lack the SLI

This is a great board for the workstation or the professional.It's cheap and does a good job at everything. Can even overclock decently.I will recommend this board to anyone on a budget and not planning on running High overclocks and of course to NVIDIA fan boys. |
All of the MSI x58 boards now have SLI support, so when I purchased mine it was the updated model and even came with both an SLI and CrossFire bridge. They changed the PCB as well, so it's now black instead of ugly brown. I had no issues with the board running hot, like some folks in the past have had, and suspect this has been fixed with this updated release. Anyways, I'm bought this for an i7-920 build currently with 6GB of Patriot Viper ddr3 and have had no problems. Finding a mobo which supports SLI and up to 24GB of memory is a challenge for under $200 so this was a great deal.
