Cons: Fn and Ctrl keys are switched, takes time to get used to itHotkeys are hard to see, bluetooth button does nothing since this laptop doesnt have bluetoothDVD drive feels flimsy

Pros: Price: $900 CDN after HSTNice looking14 inch screenDecent battery life, considering the dedicated GPU5 USB ports, firewire, eSATA, HDMI
Comment:
I bought this laptop for university, since it was compact (14 inch), yet powerful. With sale price, the price/performance was pretty damn good, and the nice cover design was an added bonus. The CPU is kind of outdated, since everything is i3 or above, but at this price I'm not complaining. Although the GPU is advertised as a 4650, its actually a 4670. However, the 4670 is underclocked to 4650 speeds. When I took off the blue specs sticker, it left some glue residue, which took a few minutes of windex to remove.

Cons: No LED display, mouse button has loud clicking noise, fan sometimes makes a whining noise,

Pros: Very good hardware, not heavy, decent battery life, stylish, bang for buck

So far, I am really liking this laptop. It is great for me. I need it for school but I also want something that can handle games at decent settings and this does it all. I thought the 6 cell battery would only last an hour but it lasts about 4hr 30min if you're in power saving mode using Microsoft word. One thing though when gaming, the fan can get really loud. But anyways, this is a fantastic product and I definitely recommend it.

Cons: when it doesn't work, it's annoying

Pros: Good performance (when it works), decent size to carry around

Mine has the problem of shutting off everytime when watch online videos in full screen. Can not figure out why. Tried all different drivers, install and uninstall browsers, tried with IE and firefox, even tried to reinstall the OS. No luck! It's completely annoying that when I tried to watch videos online, I can't go full screen or the computer will just shut down in 5 mins... And obviously I tried everything that I can do.Checked system event log, there are "kernel power" errors everytime after the shut down.Consider I just bought this laptop with big price for 3 days and the problem appears, it's very annoying and I don't know what to do now...PS: Games and DVDs are just fine, just online video in full screen will crash. Sounds like a software problem eh? But even re-install the OS can't help...

Cons: Glossy screen (this isn't so bad really)Glossy body (but this can be quite annoying)Slightly annoying keyboard layout (fn key at bottom right, ctrl shifted to the right of it).

Pros: CPUGPUPrice was decent; better if the $100 MIR goes through.

I was looking for a laptop that was small, yet powerful. This fit the bill perfectly because it uses the p8700 and the 4670 (not the 4650 despite the description) and they were put into a 14 inch form factor. The 500GB hard drive is plenty for me (I upgraded from an old laptop that had a 60GB hard drive). I can't really comment on the bundled software because I cleared off the HDD and installed Windows 7 Professional (free copy as a student). For my needs, this was a perfect fit.
