Cons: Only 2 SATA III portsThe gun barrel style heatsink is dumb

Pros: Well-built, quality componentsExcellent UEFI biosEasy to use for overclocking newbies with OCGenieII
Comment:
Very well-built and designed motherboard which includes some excellent software and a very easy to navigate bios. Got it for a nice price after PM, so I'm fairly happy.

Cons: - Quite a bit expensive so really not worth it if you ain't gonna overclock.- "OC Genie" doesn't work so far, I'll have to find out why soon.- It's a plus to have many settings in the bios but it seems to be 2-3x harder to understand and customize than my (MSI P67A) :/

Pros: - Plenty and almost too much bios settings to customize!- Most high-tech bios I ever seen!- Extremly huge VRM heatsinks, this thing won't overheat for sure!- Really nice look and good mobo layout.
Comment:
It just sucks that the sale price dropped from 145$ to 135$ like one day after I made this order but anyway it was for a friend. It's exactly the new version of my really awesome (MSI P67A) motherboard so I knew I couldn't go wrong with it. There's just so many more features that I was bit lost when I first configurated it but better have more things to choose from than less. Other than the OC Genie not working, I'm happy with the board.

Cons: - The heatsink on the top of the motherboard is a little too big, it block my Corsair H100 watercooling, with the Corsair 300R carbide windowed edition.- Only 2x SATA3

Pros: - Stylish- Great performance- Got almost everything you need for a gaming rig
Comment:
In overall, this motherboard is very nice for a gaming value build : very cheap price for everything you need for performance. Build with a i7 3770k processor, MSI Radeon HD 7770 power edition, Corsair GS800 powersupply. Everything works well.

Cons: - Nothing to extreme

Pros: - Very solid board- Handy bios- Manufacturer updates- OC interface was well designed- Epic boot times! (with an ssd)- Good warranty- Runs really cool (32C under full load, with proc. u 4.3 ghz)

I bought this board and the 3570k as an upgrade from a p4 i 3.2 and a 5 year intel board.. All i have to say is just WOW! Managed to OC the processor, memory, and video card with such ease, my 9 year old brother would have been capable of doing it lol! The board has a professional feel and look, while sustaining a solid construction. Overall very happy with this board, will buy again!Build:- MSI Z77A-GD55 - Intel 3570k i 4.3 ghz- Corsair Vengeance 8gb i 1866 mhz (each stick)- GTX 550 ti SC i 985 mhz- WD caviar black sata III- Corsiar 750 watt psu [80+ silver]- Gemin II s524 Heatsink- Antec 900 black mid-tower case

Cons: no wifisound adapter is weird and doesn't work too well

Pros: Great boardCheap price Easy to useNice OC GenieIIILoads of featuresSexy splash screen and BIOS
Comment:
For people for only have one GPU, and a very mid range set-up this is fine. The motherboard doesn't have a PCI slot which was depressing to see, but it works and I have no big complaints with this board yet. It comes with a nice military class III certificate that you can hang up on a wall or something. Overall it's not bad.

Cons: none that I can think of

Pros: - UEFI Bios Interface is very easy to work with & looks great- everything worked perfectly fine out of the box- aethetically pleasing.. just love those those military blue accents- the whole board looks clean - no useless slot connectors, heatsinks are not too big- very cheap for a military class board- capable of gen3 pcie sli/crossfire- overclocks well; oc genie takes the 3770k to 4.2 which is good enough for a daily hard work- WHEN IT BOOTS, YOU'RE ONLY GOING TO SEE THE MSI LOGO & then TO WINDOWS.. no other texts postings of some sort.. so quick!
Comment:
I built my buddy a gaming rig, & I was literally speechless of how awesome this mobo is. I never had any problems with it or its bios, or any of its included softwares & utilities - everything just work flawlessly. This is how crazy it is, I bought a Gigabyte G1.Sniper 2 which cost me around $360 (yah that expensive). This board is only around $150 and yet in my testing this board beats the Sniper 2 in every way. Just think, this board is not even the highest of the GD series from MSI. I paired it with OCZ Agility 4, and when the system boots up to windows it takes about 10 secs.. yah crazy fast. Part of the reason why it boots so quickly is bcuz this board only posts its logo and then directly to windows, no other text or any of that junk. This is my first time using an MSI board and I have no disappointments at all, none what so ever. The MSI Z77A-GD55 is definitely a mobo that I recommend for a budget gamer & overclocker. Love this mobo!

Cons: Has 2 instead of 4 SATA 6GB/s connections

Pros: Bought it on sale. Great lookingHas all necessary featuresNice layoutBest mobo for its price range
Comment:
When this board was on sale for 38 dollars in total, i knew i had to buy this. I was deciding between this and gd65 one, but it seemed like i was paying extra 20 dollars for a few features that i may not even use. I really like the blue + dark colour scheme.Based on reviews on this board, overclocking is superb (I have yet to test it out).

Cons: -No additional motherboard USB brackets-power/reset/etc connections should have been placed in the corner of the board (might be a problem on bigger cases)

Pros: Great features, overclockability, well-built, UEFI Bios is a breeze.
Comment:
Great board for the price, nothing but good reviews on this unit and MSI have really stepped up their game since my first MSI board 8 years ago. I have an Antec Eleven Hundred case which has a window and I do get a bit distracted bu the lights at the top of the motherboard which I believe correspond to CPU power phase (not entirely sure). I was originally an Asus motherboard enthusiast (and still am) but there's no reason to overlook MSI. I also purchased one of these for a build for my friend.

Picked this up for a new build and it has been good for all my needs. Instillation of the motherboard was simple. The GUI BIOS is easy to navigate and allows for easy access to some of the feature the mobo offers such as OC genie.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Very solidly built motherboard, and it looks nice as well.UEFI bios is very easy to use and configure.Next Gen connectivity, ready for Ivy Bridge and PCI-E 3.Pretty solid overclocks so far, still tweaking and testing.
Comment:
Excellent value and features for its pricepoint.Recognized all hardware on the first boot.Extremely stable.Overclocked an i5-2500k to 5ghz on my 3rd try, only took a few boots to find the sweet spot for voltages.Would recommend to anyone looking for a new Z77 based motherboard.
