Retrofits my zalman fan for the subsequent generation.More integrated in kit than in image. The usual Zalman backboard access troubles. It's ultimately right here. None I've been checking Newegg each day for this clip, following Zalman emailed me that Newegg would be carrying it. It's finally right here!!! I have to thank Zalman for this solution. They could have just as properly not released a new clip, which would have left a lot of buyers miffed, taking into consideration that the difference in between the mounting holes of the 1156 and the 775 is just 1 mm. I can now ditch the Intel stock cooler and go back to working with my old Zalman CNPS9500. The i7 860 already runs cool with the Intel cooler in my Computer. It really should run even cooler and quieter with my CNPS9500. The new clip need to fit nicely devoid of any concerns, thinking about that it's just a modification of the previous CNPS9500 clip. Strong building, such as molded-in nuts. Integrated hw is great. Operating on core i3 with an old CNPS7000A-AlCu, which technically isn't supported. You can make it work by just remounting the fan bracket in the upper holes on the heatsink. Woulda been cool if Zalman had included a couple of extra screws to attach heatsink to adapter, I had to hunt around for a when to discover some. For a couple of bucks, I recycled a 7-yr old HSF for a new price range construct. Thanks Zalman for generating this adapter. |

I was so excited to come across out Zalman produced an adapter to accommodate my new 1156 setup. Simple installation (if you're motherboard is currently out) and has the quality really feel you'd expect from Zalman. Doesn't match the Msi P55-GD80. I just about cried. I fiddled with it for about an hour. I even removed the heatpipes from the motherboard and tried squeezing this adapter on. No matter what I did, it just wouldn't fit. The clips are also close to the heatpipes. Bummer! |

Sturdy building, looks very good. Does not work with my old trusty ZALMAN CNPS7000B-CU, as one more poster wrote. The heatsink does not totally touch the CPU, wobbles back and forth. There is no way to tighten it further. Also, the screws to attach the heatsink to this clip are NOT integrated in the package. It functions perfectly to use a Zalman Fatality HSF with an 1156 socket. Excellent. None spring to mind. Fits 1156 sockets. simple to install. operates. feels extremely strong as soon as attached. new attachment "plate" is considerably less difficult to screw in than the preceding clip approach. didn't come with the cooler. regardless of the Zalman people telling me that the 9500 AT came with an adapter clip, the ones NewEgg had in stock were naturally not the most just lately shipped, and did NOT come with an adapter. Really should have gone with the NewEgg description and not what the manufacturer was telling me. As well poor NewEgg doesn't have any pre-sales supper to perform stuff like this out. |

Does what it says it does and saved me receiving a new cool when upgrading from the LGA775 to a i5-750 (Gigabyte P55 mobo). Fits but I had to tighen the screws (cooler to clip) as tight as they can go to get the cooler to stay in spot. I guess this saves you from over tighening. Good to see Zalman support its buyers with a low expense/low profit option to get much more from their investment. Ư for zalman and a lot more probably to acquire in the future. |

Mine came with all needed screws/washers, etc. The bracket itself went on the board fine. The clasp for a Zalman 9700 and 9900 will hit the capacitors on a EVGA P55 LE motherboard. ok So this isn't specifically a overview so substantially as a query. I have a 9500 series Zalman and just not too long ago upgraded from a 939 to an AM3. The blacketing/backplate are unique on the new Mobo four mounting holes in new 1 two in old a single. Will this replace the existing bracket on an AM3? I can't locate any specifically for it and can not get anyone on the phone to ask. Any aid would be appreciated as I Love the Zalman cooler and would like to continue using it. none
