Cons: - cheap materials other than the (aluminum base)

Pros: - keeps my laptop cool- the glossy white is soooo nice
Comment:
Used for a day on my HP Pavillion dv2000 - famous for overheating due to the faulty GPU... When the laptop started my core temperatures would start at 50C and climb to 90+, while GPU temps would start at 65C and start climbing to 100+. Air flow temps would start at 30ish and climb to mid 50s.My cousin had the black version on his Sony VAIO and recommended it over other cooling pads based on price/effeciency. Results: Using the Zalman on anything but the full setting resulted in an increase in temperature. Upon using the highest setting though, temperature for the cores stabilized at 50-55 with occasional going to 60's when converting dvds with anti-virus full scan on. GPU core stabilizes around 75-77 with upward limit of 85. Airflow temp stabilizes at 37-38 and occasionally going to 39 (but not 40).Overall I'm pretty happy since the cores now do not go over the recommended maximum for cpu (65) and GPU (85)My computer has been running for the last 5 hours now... I have not got it to run this long in the last year! One caveat of this cooling pad though is the plastic "legs" on the bottom of the pad both fell off... a little super glue on my part went a long way but this resulted in a 4 star rating from me.

Cons: -Fan can be bigger-Does cool down my laptop too much-USB cable connecting cooler and laptop is cumbersome-Not enough aluminum parts for cooling, white can get dirty-Need a few extra rubber feet to properly secure the notebook from sliding occasionally-Sized for 15"-Somewhat pricy

Pros: -Good looking, nice curves IMO-White color matches a Macbook (but I dont have one)-Quiet
Comment:
Strength-As summarized above I like the white look, the glossy white finish on the bottom.-the fan is reasonably quiet Weaknesses:-Fan can be bigger and better. Right now they seem to be smaller than 80mm-Cooling performance is a little week even at max fan speed, but depends on you notebook-The cooler has 2 standard USB port and the short USB cable comes with the cooler is used to connect to your notebook's USB port.-IMO one USB port on the cooler shall be a mini USB or Zalman should provide a USB cable that is in 90deg, since normal USB connector sticks out too much and made it cumbersome.-Would be even better if it provides AA battery slot as an alternative source of power-Finally, I believed Zalman claimed that it supports 17" notebook, but it is a little small for that. And it is quite pricy at over $40
