Great power provide, powers my quad and sli graphics cards, all overclocked fine. No on/off switch. The "switch" seen in the photos is not an on/off switch, its a switch to turn off the "line feedback filter" or one thing like that, mainly because it doesnt meet 80PLUS certification if it draws additional than a particular wattage when off, and when the filter is on it draws a lot more than that specified quantity of energy. So there is no on/off switch on this energy provide.

Wonderful Energy provide for the price, the chrome metal is a good touch as well, even though you won't see it in most cases. I have a appreciate hate partnership of the 3x2 + 1x2 and comparable cables, can be kind of funky to get lined up to form the 4x2, but a neat thought none-the less and it's quite good after you get them collectively. Not the very best modular setup since not all of the cables are modular, on the other hand I employed all the stock cables and only had to add one SATA module for my develop so it didn't really effect me, just wanted you to be aware. Just keep in mind when you are installing these that you PRE-BEND the cables for your graphics card so that they don't harm the saudering joints. A different tip is to use the velcro ties that they give you to bind the cables with each other in your Pc once you are done, that way they don't meander into fans and they have a much much more solid look (not a fan of rat's nests).

-It's quiet, as would be anticipated with a 140mm low rpm fan.-It's cool, with my present energy specifications. The case about it also stays cool which is an indication that it's not contributing a lot heat to the program.-Like earlier versions from Zalman the make good quality is excellent and the cabling program is neat and efficient. -No power switch on the back. (note, the switch on the inside is not for power, it's a "Standby Noise Filter Switch" which is a function that supposedly reduces PSU noise whilst the Computer is in standby mode. I never ever use standby mode so I can't comment on how well that operates. I'd simply sacrifice that feature for a power switch although. Zalman's reasoning for sacrificing a aspect that in all probability fees two cents on a premium item like this appears to defy all logic.-The 2x4pin CPU energy cables are a bit quick for my case exactly where the PSU is located at the bottom. My case truly came with 1 extender indicating this is a prevalent issue with this case configuration but my motherboard calls for 2 so I'll have to get or make the other myself to make the cabling a tiny neater.-Like all Kilowatt PSU's this is incredibly big. I had to eliminate the top rated fan on my old mid tower case to make it match. Now I'm making use of a complete tower that is much much more spacious. Ahead of this I was employing a Zalman ZM-600HP which was terrific. The only cause I felt the require to upgrade was simply because I upgraded to a Radeon 4870X2 which utilizes an 8pin PCI-E connector which the 600 watt didn't have. I realize there are adapters but there's often the possibility that I'll add a second X2 and this PSU will maintain that solution open.If you're in the marketplace for a Kilowatt PSU and you don't mind not getting a power switch this really should be a strong contender amongst the other possibilities.

The ONLY energy supply I have utilized because they came out. The second you open the box and see this PS, you can tell the high quality. The absolute ideal for any overclocked rig! Some of the cords are a bit quick for motherboard connections if you want to genuinely organize and hide the wires, with out an extender.

Awesome PSU, at 1kw it's the most strong PSU I've ever owned. It quickly runs my 4870 and three 1tb hds, all on a P5k Deluxe... Easily going to be in my AMD case when I get a single. The very best and QUIETEST (if you don't have considerably of a load on it) PSU I've ever employed. Definitely none. Once more quiet and virtually no heat coming off of it, my 4870 has a lot more heat than this PSU does.

Lots of energy and lots of cables. Good finish and incredibly stable voltage. No noise coming from fan. It's biggggggg, but i managed to fit her in. It powers my i7 920 ʃ.8Ghz, Asus P6T, SLI Evga GTX260's, 3x2gigs ram, 4 HDDs, 2 dvd combo drives, X-fi with front panel, 10x120mm fans and a fan controller (i have the Thermaltake Mozart case) and two water cooling loops. It does all this with really steady voltage.

All rails tested good on my gear. Superb option of modular and permanent cables (like you will need the ATX 20ቴ pin energy cable to be modular?). Totally inaudible from 1.5'-2' away. Some of the non-modular cables could use a little further length. Seriously, no on/off switch? Not truly a con: be aware that this PSU is added extended - some cases it may well not fit (e.g. it doesn't match the pre-drilled fan holes in my CM690). Complete build specs: CM 690, Gigabyte EP45-DS3R, C2D E8400, AC Freezer 7 Pro, 2x2GB G.Ability PC1000 DDR2, Asus Radeon 4870X2, Samsung DVD+/- RW, Seagate 7200 RPM 640GB 32mb-cache HD.

quiet, highly effective, effectively-built, effectively thought out modular/non-modular layout, value (relative to other high end 1kw units). size, but no bigger than any other 1000 watt psu. no on/off switch, but i genuinely havent figured out if this is a con or not, yet. didnt require any of the modular cables (except 2x pcie cables), and applied all the attached cables. actually helped my cpu overclock. overclocking 250mhz greater, with significantly less voltage. overkill for my machine, but i required a new psu, so why not?q9550 @ 4100p5q deluxe4gb g.skill 10662x hd48702x optical80gb velociraptor2x 500gb 7200.11 raid five 120mm fans

1 KW power, heat pipe cooling, and semi-modular power cable design and style make it a good unit. it's full-variety, so there's no switching 110-220V.It's presently running an AMD Phenom black edition 145w, 4G DDR2, and six 1TB Seagate SATA on a Foxconn A7DA-S mobo, so it isn't even stressed - I've got lots of juice for extra hardware, and plenty of connectors to hook them up. This is the 1st PSU I've discovered that actually has sufficient SATA connectors (about a dozen). The fan is nice and quiet for such a higher wattage rating. Added deep power supply, so if your case isn't deep, or if you have devices which stick out of the drive bays in front of the energy provide, you could run out of true estate. Even with the XL-size case, I have my SATA drives in trayless fan-cooled RAID drawers, and there is about 1ǘ" amongst the back of the drawers and the connector end of the PSU. That's almost certainly not optimal for airflow out of the drive bays. The connectors aren't totally modular, so you may have further wires to bundle and stuff out of the way. No large deal there. The power switch is on the inside(!?) of the case instead of the outdoors, exactly where you would count on it. If there is a issue that needs a tough disconnect, you'll have to go for the energy cord as an alternative unless your case is open.

1) Runs an overclocked i7-2600K and two overclocked GTX580s in SLI without even flinching.2) Super quiet (the stock CPU fan is louderƝ) Case never ever heats more than 5C, even at complete load4) All the connectors you could ever want (and they are nicely sleevedƟ) Comes with a 14 gauge power cable, the very first high watt PSU that truly supplies a cable appropriate for its draw. 1) Its pricey The ideal PSU I have ever owned. It sits 1" from a video card in SLI and the thermocouple I have sitting on it never ever registers a temperature boost of much more than 5dC when gaming.

It effortlessly powers my 2 gtx 275s in SLI, my Phenom II 940 BE @ 3ghz, and almost everything else! a lot of space to expand and OC! Oh and the noise everybody is complaining about will go away when you flip the switch on the back. the trade-off is it consumes much more energy.

This is a good energy supply for men and women that want over 800watts. I have my 5970 and I may well be in a position to put another one particular with upgrading to 1200watt. This power supply has not crashed and it also has a button to make the annoying humming go away that lots of energy supplies have. Cables were a bit stiff. The only ones that are genuinely a little annoying are the 24pin and CPU power. That is since there big.
