This is a fairly big card so it may not fit in smaller cases. It also takes up 3 PCI slots just so you know. The card runs amazingly cool to touch even under a bit of load. I got it to use in a CAD (Inventor) workstation and it didn't disappoint at all. Was just a bit worried about gamming cards and WS's but I sure am glad I didn't go with a Quadro 4000 at $800. This card munches along very nicely with 3000 pcs assemblies. |

I just received this card a couple of days ago and have been extremely satisfied to say the least. It easily outperforms my evga gtx 285 and runs at half the temperature(idling around 29-31). Hits a max of 55 at load and that is with the fan around 50%. You would think the twin fans would make a lot of noise but so far they are very quiet. The card takes up three slots(one pci e and 2 pci) so you would likely need a triple sli board to run two in sli. All in all a fantastic purchase, and the lifetime warranty is a nice added bit of security. I only hope zotac doesn't go tits up like bfg did. Has handled a slight overclock with no trouble, sure I can push it plenty more. I Love This Card!(But it's frickin' huge) |
Two of these in SLI looks impressive!Purchased one of these to go alongside my Cooler Master V8. Thought all of the fins would look cool - and it did!I have since purchased another for SLI, so far on two different motherboards - a Gigabyte P55 UD5 and a P55 UD7. Both cards run cool, the top card being around 5-10° hotter when both are under full load.The cards have a Zotac branded Zalman VF3000 heat sink on a reference board which also has an almost-full cover heat sink underneath for all of the components. This is a bonus for me since I plan on water cooling later - now I can buy a universal block for the GPU and not have to worry about cooling the other components.Overall I am happy with my purchase, which you could probably guess since i bought two of 'em! But keep in mind that they are not going to be compatible with some setups because of their size. I was willing to make that sacrifice because they look so awesomesauce.The current price ($179.99 after rebate) is a steal. I paid $340 6 months ago for my first and $260 three months ago for my second here at NCIX.
