This card is -the- boss! The card runs cool and has insane performance! It idles at 24 to 26 celcius. The room is 23 celcius! So, basically it is producing very little heat! And being extremely power efficent!To date I have run Skyrim, Crysis 3, World of Tanks, War Thunder, 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark: The Gamers Benchmark and Dishonored. At 1920X1200 resolution with all game settings absolutely maxed, this graphics card laughed at me and gave me 60FPS. GPU temps went up to the low 40s celcius at most. 40 celcius is still cool enough that the fans did not even need to spin up while the card was under intense load!I do -not- hear this card while idle or gaming! Benching the card with 3DMark Vantage it scores: X23487 (Extreme settings)Benching with 3DMark (The Gamer's Benchmark) the card scores:17917 - Cloud Gate, 20635 - Sky Diver, 8573 - Firestrike, 150491 - Ice Storm**MY system specs: Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3, Intel i5 2500k, 16Gb Kingston XMP Ram r 1600 Mhz, 1TB Seagate Momentus (Hybrid) SSHD, Zotac GTX 970, Fractal R4 case**The card comes with the 'Firestorm' overclocking utility. Since the card is idling at a mere 24 to 26 celcius you should have plently of room to overclock. Zotac is also smart and very nice being very overclocker friendly!Both GPU Voltage and Memory clock can be adjusted as you see fit. GPU fan speed can be set manually. Frame Targer, GPU Temp target and GPU Clock offset can also be adjusted as you see fit. The card runs stock at 1076Mhz with a Boost clock of 1215Mhz. The FireStorm utility can also be set to start on boot and commit your overclock settings immediately. Overclock profiles can also be created and saved.

Card runs extremely cool and quiet, no coil while like i have read from other reviews. runs all my games on max settings with 144 hz LCD well over 60+ FPS, overall very happy with my first Zotac experience

GTX is the price/performance king and this is the cheapest one available. The GTX 970 is known for being a very energy efficient so it does not require the huge coolers of other cards. In fact the size and weight of this card is the best feature, very easy to handle and install, should comfortably fit in any mid sized case. Why spend more when this card does exactly the same thing as the others? Even overclocked to 1400mhz(boost clock) I was not maxing the fans out(although my case is well ventilated). All these next gen console ports require tons of graphics memory so 4GB is awesome(reports as 3900MB in games though). If reliability is good over the next 3 years it's the perfect card.

Nothing much to complain about the card, it's fast gets good FPS in whatever game I play. It's not any louder than the general case noise and no coil whine to speak of. My only problem is signing up for the extended warranty on the Zotac website, it's badly organized and their website won't let me create  an account.

I see a lot of reviews of people complaining about price but quite honestly the car is priced less than a 770 and out performs it by 10-14% on average. This car is knocking on the doorstep of 780's. The card runs extremely cool, and is fairly light so no worries about it sagging on the mobo. The cards efficiency is rather incredible considering the benchmark scores it is pushing out and the less power required the lower the temps! Downfall is the two six pin power connectors.
