Single-slot profile; no auxilliary power connector; quiet fan; shorter than traditional 9800 GT cards; PowerMizer-managed efficiency; good price tag. None that I've encountered. This card runs at a slightly reduced clock speed than standard 9800 GT implementations; and for that, according to Zotac, you get up to 40% lower energy consumption. I haven't measured that; but this card does run a bit cooler than the 8600 GTS it replaced. Not obtaining to string additional wires from the energy supply is a nice bonus--in particular in a tightly-packed Micro ATX case. The 9800 GT is far from becoming the top rated-of-the-line GPU these days; nonetheless, it remains a really capable chip and Zotac is delivering a contemporary implementation here. And they're doing so at a price tag that's comparable to what some of their competitors are charging for cards with half as significantly memory as this 1.

This is a fast card that operates effectively for streaming with Wirecast application. Requires a single PCI-e slot only!! Runs cool adequate in our mini ATX cases. Twin output and HD/s-video assistance. We had failures with other 9800 GT cards but the ZOTAC cards hold working. None at all.

I lastly constructed a new technique and got away from the pricey AGP parts. So, I've upgraded from an 7600 GT and man what a difference! I am playing COD Black Ops on med. higher settings at max res. at about 30-55 fps. (online) and loving it. And not just for the funds either. I've been playing new games on 600x800/low settings for way also extended and this is like heaven. Certain it could be greater but not on my price range. Anyways, I can essentially tell if somebody is seeking out a window in the distace pointing a rifle at me now. I don't have to wait for a bullet in the head to know for certain, ha! I only play fps games on the internet so naturally I get some lag but that's a lot more due to the servers or my DSL connection. Anyway, it's fantastic to me and I like it. None. I built my new desk top pc to run in 64 bit but didn't have the income at the time for a new OS. I just ordered Windows 7 a couple days ago and must have it tomorrow. Can't wait to see the difference in performance when I go from 32 bit to 64 and have my four gigs of ram turn into eight with the dual channel ram. Really should assist with any bottle necking. Oh, New Egg Rocks my nest!

Extremely good card! Went suitable into my Gigabyte p43 MB and started up with no challenge. Vista place the drivers in with incredibly small aid from me. It pegged the Windows practical experience at five.9. I just like possessing a nicely running computer system that could handle most something I may well want to run. This card is definitely fitting suitable in. I can OC the PCI Express power a bit with the bios to make up for the slightly much less overall performance I heard talked about here, not that I seriously noticed. Zotac seems to be a fantastic card I woud'nt be afraid to acquire this 1 again. Oh, very quiet too. No cons yet NewEgg came through with a fantastic price tag and fsat delivery. I wouldn't shop anyplace else.

Really uncomplicated and easy swap into my HP program. Card is short enough to fit the board with no interferance difficulties. The HP method had no difficulties with it and recognized it very first time it started up. Display was fantastic and got even far better following updating drivers. Appears and runs smother than my sons gaming system. none I use the this with two 24" monitors but not for gaming so i have no opinion on how fluid it would be for WOW or other high finish games.

Little, simple, good overall performance for the price. None. Stuck this in my Shuttle SD39P2. Hopefully my final upgrade. Went through two XFX 8600 GT's. Don't think the XFX 'double lifetime' warranty. I'm not a gamer, and don't require a severe video card. The XFX had 4 physically blown caps(?) for no reason. My Shuttle runs quite cool.

Bought this card immediately after my old ones fan broke. I was seeking for 1 about 贄 and this 1 went above and beyond what I expected.I'm fairly new to computers. But this card was basic to install. Following about 3 weeks of possessing it, it's done great! On a 1440x900 screen, runs most games at High graphics, some at Ultra. But I keep on high for increased frames. The only con I've noticed is that when on complete screen in some games the Very edge will be an odd distorted color. This is virtually unnoticeable though, the distortion is no a lot more then a millimeter along any side of the screen.BUT, this problem becomes void mainly because tabbing out then back in to the game gets rid of the challenge. For the cost this card is incredible.Games I've played...*RIFT - Runs ultra with practically no concerns. I recommend possessing shadows off.* League of Legends - Runs high graphics great, but previous high frames commence to drop.* WoW - All settings on ultra, runs fine.* Killing Floor - Runs high settings smoothly. Extremely cluttered scenarios lead to huge frame drops if the settings are maxed.

decent price tag and operating smoothly while basically browsing the net, single slot is also a bonus for these who're employing mATX. but i really feel that's it. i bought these so i could get higher settings on the singlemost game i play on Pc known as Heroes Of Newerth, and the single slot is a major bonus to my mATX. but the game usually crashes no matter what i do. my Pc in no way seasoned any of that *** even though i was nevertheless making use of my i3's integrated graphics.new or old drivers from nvidia, all the identical. dual or single monitor display, game nevertheless crashes. i even got a ******* BSOD and virtually had to reformat my OS.9800 GT is meant for gamers, if not hardcore. but this card just screams "no Heroes Of Newerth for you!" been looking for much more options but no matter what i uncover i'm often told "nvidia stopped working and recovered from a severe error." i'm truly scared of one more BSOD... so i may return this issue to newegg... This card still impresses me after a year of ownership. Pros consist of great performance, little size, it's quiet, and it's cool. None. I've been using two identical computer systems, one with this card and a single with a GT 260. I've often had the feeling that the GT 260 didn't execute really as properly as the 9800 GT; this week I replaced the GT 260 with a GT 465 but saw much less efficiency improvement than I expected so I ran comparison tests, observing visually in side-by-side monitors the overall performance of the 9800 GT and the GT 465 installed in practically identical computer systems in Second Life. In standard situations, there was no substantial visual difference; in reality the 9800 GT from time to time loaded textures more quickly than the GT 465. Nevertheless in much more graphically intensive settings, the GT 465 had the edge.Gamers in more graphically intense games and folks like me who make machinima (video filmed in a virtual planet) in generally demanding conditions will want the far better efficiency of the GT 465, but for most people the 9800 GT really should be absolutely satisfactory It genuinely is an great card.

As far as I can inform it performs pretty nicely, even though I am not a gamer. Installation was straightforward and it is good that external power is not necessary for this card. I selected this card mainly mainly because I necessary to drive two 2048x1152 monitors and I did not want buy a new energy provide to help other similarly equipped cards (mine is 400 W). The card makes a continual high-pitched buzzing sound when the pc is running. I'm not sure what is causing the sound, but it is pretty noticeable. It is negative enough that I would contemplate trading down to lower finish card to get rid of the sound. I know one particular egg is fairly harsh for something not associated to reliability or performance, but I felt it was necessary because all other testimonials had been five eggs: this consensus was originally a promoting point for me and I feel that consideration demands to drawn to the buzzing concern.

- Easy to install- Runs every single game I play on high (Heroes of Newerth, TF2, BFBC2, Mass Impact two, Dragon age Origins)- Quiet card- Decently low cost - Does get fairly hot, but it is a 9800gt- Thats the only con - To the reviewer that said it crashes on Heroes of Newerth doesn't know something about computers / graphic cards. You By no means use the drivers from the disc, Generally get them from the Nvidia web-site.I primarily got this card because I don't care for high finish cards, this runs anything I play in high so no need to have to waste funds on a 400 dollar card.

This card runs BC2 and other games usually properly, however the 9800 does have its years on it so don't anticipate to max points out. Style is not the greatest, the card is not the most power efficient either. The heat sink design is a bit of a dust catcher, get fan filters or expect to clean huge clumps of dust...

Effortless installation... I've had negative experience with this kid... Wouldn't get 100fps in an 10 year old initial person shooter game on computer...I also play a game named Heroes of Newerth and the game kept crashing mainly because drivers the CD recommended failed... Little footprint, significantly quieter fan (compared to my older 8800GT), and a gaming powerhouse. None encountered. Melted my previous video card (an aging BFG Tech 8800GT) though playing a game and ordered this card as a replacement. Installation was a breeze; No added power hookup was necessary and the card takes up less space than the 8800GT. I was literally up and operating in a couple minutes. Card simply handles modern titles such as Crysis, Fallout: New Vegas, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Dirt 2.

Superb card. It's shorter and narrower than many competing cards and fits effortlessly on the mATX mobo in the portable computer that I've built for doing presentations and teaching classes. None. This replaces an NVIDIA 9500 that I've used for more than a year and liked, but the 9800 GT is superior and is what I ought to have bought in the very first spot.

Received this card in a Cyberpowerpc that I bought here on Newegg in location of the EVGA that it was pictured with. I was a bit worried at initially as I had no encounter with Zotac but thus far the card is performing just as well as any I've ever employed. Holds pretty steady at my 60 fps cap in WoW at ultra settings. Plays Bioshock like a movie at highest and Crysis with minimal lag at quite high with 4xAA, plays even smoother when settings are dropped to high. All in all this card is performing well and I haven't even touched the clock frequencies but. Runs up to about 75° C when under heavy load. Has a significant heatsink, looks beefy. Card seems solid and the fan is nice and quiet. 1 GB of DDR3 memory is nice as properly. Delivers a wonderful display on my ACER X223 widescreen LCD. All games played at native resolution of 1680x1050. Runs a bit on the warm side but most modern graphics cards appear to be that way. Idles in the low to mid 40's C and peaks around mid 70's which seems to be perfect in line with other 9800's on the market place. Not positive how significantly room there is for overclocking on stock cooling but it's playing almost everything just fine at stock frequencies for me. Not anything I'd remove an egg for. Was a little worried when I saw this card in my new rig as I'd in no way heard of Zotac but immediately after putting it under some pretty heavy gaming over the last week it has passed with flying colors. Thinking about it's a excellent ฮ+ more affordable than larger name 9800 cards it could be a nice get for gamers on a spending budget. If this card can prove itself in the lengthy run I will be purchasing much more Zotac cards in the future.
