It's rapid. This is my third Garmin. This one particular is the ideal so far. Got it these days and went to Garmin's web site to register it. Although there I got a map update and all is nicely. Shipping. I was promised three day free shipping. I ordered it Thursday evening at about tenᚨ pm and received it currently. That's 6 days, four if you discount the weekend. It's still charging. Seems to be incredibly steady as all the rest are. I own a 200 and a 205. Neither have Bluetooth or site visitors. Nevertheless acquiring out what it will do.

Locks on signal rapidly, bluetooth operates effectively with my cell telephone. Updated maps w/o any dilemma and utilized it for virtually a month. Device bricked itself for no apparent purpose just just before a month was up. Was on hold for 45 minutes at Garmin tech assistance (w/o reaching a individual, however) when they dropped my get in touch with. Have emailed tech support and that is exactly where I am at proper now...I hope it functions out properly. I WAS thinking of getting one more...I will wait to see how this turns out.

Rapid recalculation, seems nicer than my 265W for navUI switches speed readout to red when you're more than local speed limit (nice feature) Reiterating what lionar10 said above, the discovery that the "Free" visitors feature is in fact pop-up sponsorship spam is highly disconcerting. I have to hold the service turned off, obviating the value of this unit more than non-Site visitors versions. Would not acquire again for this purpose.

Excellent unit. Use it all the time. I travel extensively and it is a life saver. Really effortless to use, set up and transform routes. Lane assist a wonderful feature for heavy massive city driving. Visitors avoidance excellent also. Compact and simple to take out for stopping overnight. Bluetooth is terrible. Stopped making use of it following getting a lot of complaints from callers on the other line. Also had to keep adjusting the volume to hear appropriately. Took a likelihood on a unit that had everything in it. Garmin is a very good name and tends to make great units but this may well be a case of as well significantly engineering in 1 box. I would send it back and get the 1 without the bluetooth but it's also late.

This looked like an great GPS for the cost .. the screen is great and the UI style has a handful of tweaks from older Garmins that offers it an up-to-date really feel. The map zooms smoothly and it seems to update rapidly. What I was NOT expecting is that the "Free" lifetime visitors comes at the value of obtaining marketing pop up on the screen. Appropriate on leading of the map. It doesn't take up the entire map, but it is extremely distracting. It can\'t be disabled. The only option is to go with out traffic. I would not have purchased this unit had I recognized this was the case and the demo units I employed in retail outlets didn't show ANY of this.

Excellent value for 贽 (Black Friday)! Delivers almost everything it attributes. Slimmer than the usual Garmin Nüvi 4.three-inch units. Bluetooth operates very good. It seems strong compared to the Nüvis below this model. You can customize it also on the Garmin website (Garmin Garage) with autos and voices. Cost an arm and a leg to update it. It's a pretty descent unit for what I paid for but I wouldn't spend retail 趙.99 for it.

-Intersection showing detail image-Far more PoI-Bluetooth -Couldn't come across the site visitors solution-It employed the longer route then to my old 255v-Can\'t hear it clear then my previous Garmin(American English) This is my 3rd Garmin GPS, the previous two Garmin was broken soon after the map expired and I didn't renew. So I decided not to buy life time map but targeted traffic, regrettably, immediately after I updated the map, and I couldn't uncover the visitors selection from this GPS, and it take longer route with identical setting as my previous GPS. Anyways, it still superior then other brand GPS, that's why I just gave it 3 eggs.

When this unit works nicely, it works really nicely. Significantly quicker than other brands and the visitors is significantly much better than it used to be. There are a number of defective units out there. I avoided the 1490T simply because I had heard of problems. My Garmin1390T has now frozen. I has taken about 1 week to get ahold of Garmin. Long waits on the telephone. I will say that now that I have lastly reached them, they are taking full responsibility for their product. This does nonetheless leave a negative taste about Garmin.

Simple to operate, pocket size, significant POI database, quick satellite acquisition, sort of route choice (shortest distance, fastest time, etc.), lane assist. Able to insert through points into your route. Map scrolling function is extremely good too. No FM transmitter I wanted to get the very best GPS receiver under 贶, and this unit is a good deal. This is my 1st GPS, so I can\'t do a side-by-side comparison, but this device gets you from point A to point B really efficiently. Maps for Central NJ are extremely well made, and voice directions are intuitive - I only have to look at the screen as soon as in a even though. Haven't tested the pedestrian mode but, but looks like it will be a big help in NYC.

Fast aquisition of signal, really fast map updating/recalculating. Site visitors info is helpful. DO NOT UPDATE THE DEVICE!! I updated the software to the most recent, and it bricked the device, even right after the updater said the update was profitable. Great Navi if you can get it for below 赨.

Pros Has unbeliveable connecting to satalite capabilities, I live in Manhattan NYC it connected inside my apartment. Very nice Bluetooth capabilities. Very easy to hook up Cons Bad navigation will not let you choose route fastest etc on demand. Once you plug in yr destination address it will ask you to exit maximun number of exits on route if you have physically not been on this route you will most likely be taking the longest route. Also the touch screen is not reliable erase button and most numbers dont work

I love this product! No more printed out maps, trying to read in the dark. The takes me right where I need to go and guides me verbally all the way. Easy to read screen and great options. Would recommend to others on the road a lot.
