Cons: None

Pros: Nice gaming performance
Comment:
I bought the 5870 mainly for gaming. Replaced the 8800GTS and it is a huge framerate difference. It is worth it.

PowerfulKills my games at max settingsRuns Cool and Quiet (O/C i 900/1300)Looks greatthis baby is awesome, sure i could have spent the same on a Green machine gtx 470, but i like the cool quiet operation this gives me, its powerful, runs games at max settings, did i mention its whisper quiet? cant hear it at all. I'm stoked to get home from work everyday to game... the wife's gonna leave me ha ha. I will buy another one of these to crossfire. once the 6xxx series are out and priced drop  to the 350 range

Cons: Catalyst software is horrible (Drivers are good though). Had to buy a Displayport-> DVI converter for third monitor.

Pros: Handles triple monitor(5760*1200) well. single monitor it's a beast. Very stable. No over heating issues even when OCing.
Comment:
In general I've been very happy with this card. The single monitor performance at 1920*1200 is awesome. Handles everything I play at max settings. Mostly I've been playing at 5760*1200 and been very happy with the experience. Most games run at or near max settings and stay above 30fps. I also like the idea that I can just buy another one and put it into SLI to boost my performance down the road. I use a second $50 ATI card for my side monitor to keep websites, music, FAQs and other gak going while gaming. I mention this only to say that it plays well with other cards while in three monitor grouping mode. (I initially tried it with an NVidia based card. Let's just say that didn't go well)This card is a 5870 and it's a very good design on it. If you've already decided a 5870 is for you. This is a good one. You should get it. You can stop reading now, cause the rest of the review is about catalyst drivers and triple monitor gaming and could really apply to any 5870 card. The drivers themselves have performed very well. No freezing in game, good frame rates. No problems forcing a movie overlay on top of a game or dragging between monitors controlled by different cards. The Catalyst control software is really the problem. Switching this card between "one big monitor g 5760*1200" and "3 monitors at 1920*1200" mode is a battle. I often have to re boot my machine multiple times to 'get it in there'. There is a profiles feature which in theory allows one to swap rapidly and easily between these modes. It doesn't work. At all.Why would someone want to switch between these modes you may ask? Well games that don't support crazy three monitor wide screen (5760*1200) tend to solve the three monitors thing by just displaying the single image on all three monitors. Not stretching it but just displaying it three times. From what I've observed and know about IC design I'm guessing that doesn't really stress the card out. The real juice of a card goes into rendering. Once it has that rendered stream it just sends it out all three ports instead, no extra charge. But it is kind of distracting seeing your game duplicated in your peripheral vision on BOTH sides. So I'm left with two options. Either turn off the two side monitors and play in the middle as normal, or I put on my dancing shoes and try to get catalyst to put them back into three-singles mode. (Note: this would alter  involve putting is back into all-as-one, and hence sucks doubly) So I tend to just turn off the side monitors. The final note I'll end on is that playing burnout Paradise, HAWX and even WoW in 5760*1200 wrap around is freaking amazing. If you're thinking "oh I dunno it's a lot of money"It's worth it. It's amazing, your friends will be amazed. You will be amazed. Women will want you, Men will want to be you. People will invite you into their homes and feed you. Strangers will give you presents because you're the man. But Seriously, if you're a gamer you need to try triple monitors.

Cons: Large, MIGHT have to RMA because of crashing issues

Pros: Cool, quiet, POWERFUL
Comment:
I recently put the Sapphire HD 5870 Vapor-X into a new gaming rig I put together. It clearly outperforms my HD 4890.My brother (who now uses it), plays mostly Starcraft II. With the addition of AA that AMD added support for 2 days ago, we're seeing amazing visuals. It can't quite run it at AA x8/sampling x24 but we've set it to run at x4/x8 so the game's FPS never drops below 60.It's cool, it's quiet as hell. Great product. On a side note, we may actually have to RMA the card because of excessive crashing issues but until we determine that it is the problem, I'll ignore it for this review.

Cons: Price point

Pros: Temperaturequiet fans
Comment:
Fantastic 5870 revision, sapphire did great on this one. This is more or less the luxury 5870, quieter fans and cooler temps (allowing for higher overclocks), if you can afford it, great. If not, you can get by with stock cards, but i'll have to say if you're looking at crossfiring them, you'll be really happy that they are cooler cards, because crossfire does make quite a bit of heat.

Cons: Poor overclock past factory settingsOnly 2 year warranty

Pros: Amazing PerformanceSilentRuns at ~30 degrees on idle!Slight overclock from reference card
Comment:
Sapphire makes fantastic cards and this is no exception. The 5870 is an absolute beast and can handle just about anything a 1920x1080 at max settings. Easily supports two monitors and does the whole thing in near silence and runs anywhere from 10-20 degrees cooler than other ATI cards. Slightly overclocked from the reference card, but it's not enough that you'll notice more than a FPS or two.
