My wife and I have had a TomTom Model 910 for a couple of years and we have found it to be an indispensable accessory when traveling. It has reduced the tension in the car to a negligible level compared to when I was driving and she was 'navigating' with a map. Sometimes, both of us wanted to use it in our own cars at the same time. So I bought the Model One 3rd Edition (Refurbished) as a spare and backup. As a navigator it works every bit as well as the much more expensive 910. It does not have some of the bells and whistles such as hands free phone answering, but I can live with that, especially at the price of less than $90 delivered. |

Great value for the price....loading the new maps was not difficult but you can't just do it with the card provided....you have to call them and they will walk you thru it...didn't take long. I downloaded George W. Bush's voice for the directions...it's hilarious. |

Tom Tom,is one small,reliable,helper.I am someone who loses their sense of direction,very quickly, and wouldn't go anywhere alone,,BUT now I know I can get anywhere I want to go,with confidence and pride,knowing I can do it, a small amount to pay,for a huge piece of mind. |

Easy to set up, easy to use. Love the touch screen. I have a built in navigation system in my Nissan Armada and it is much less user friendly and harder to use for 20 times the price. I wish the TomTom had a bigger screen but for the money I can live with it! We bought my son one of these for Xmas and he loves it as well. |

Operates very well once the initial GPS link is established after turning the unit on. Often that takes several minutes which can be annoying and cumbersome. |

I got this TOM-TOM, for a trip to Tampa. When I turned it on, it didn't work; I had to run some tests using Windows. It worked fine on the way to Tampa. When I booted it up later, it had the same problem as it did the first day; I turned it on again yesterday, and again, it malfunctioned. It was great when it worked, and it may have been only this one unit. I loved the features of the TOM-TOM and TigerDirect's customer support and speed of shipping. |

Great product for a cheap price. Very easy to use. Just put in the address you want to go and it takes you there with options to avoid toll. The only con i can think of is it does not have text to speech, so you can only hear the machine telling you to turn left or right. |

Once I found out I had to put pressure with finger on the screen and wait just a second before moving the picture around, it works ok. Got the refurbished unit. Downloaded the latest stuff from the web site (they don't care if the unit is refurbished or not - just the date that you register it first). Succion cup works great - hard to pull off even. Some errors on the map - thinks some left turn is not allowed when it is - and not detecting where I am with great precision. It thinks I'm on the next street when I'm parked in my driveway. But for the price, I don't care. It helps me around and gets me there faster than if I didn't have one. Also, I plug it in the car all the time (last thing to get power - I start the car first) and the unit never fried like some others report. I wanted to get to know the technology before bying higher cost units. Now I don't know why I would get a costlier one. This one does all I want, even if correcting errors on the map seem to not stick. |

Be prepared for this thing to fly off your windshield or dashboard without warning. The suction cup mount they supply doesn't hold it very well. I called their support and their response was ''Anything else I can help you with?'' without even addressing the issue. Guess this is what duct tape is good for. Next time another brand. |

When I recieved my GPS the charger in the box did not work. I emailed TomTom and had a replacement that worked in a couple of days. I love this little guy now and never go anywhere without it. Even when I was on vacation in Oklahoma it had roads that didn't even have names! Plus the free map update is great. |

Bought my TomTom about 1 year ago and have taken it on several trips with no problems. I have used the car charger that came with the TomTom with no problems. Took it on a trip to Texas and reloaded the local maps which took about 5 minutes but then was great in getting around, I love it. |

Got mine lasted one day, Plugged into the car charger, we are all good, left it for 2 hours came back turned it on, Dark Screen, it fried it, I purchased it even though I read 2 previous reviewers had the same issue but did not think the percentage will be that high, Thumbs down, however my buddy Yaku Yabu bought a Garmin the Basic one 330 and we both are amazed at the quality. Will pass on a low end Tom tom |

I've had my TomTom for over a year. Where I go, it goes. I have found it easy to operate, accurate, and trouble free. It has safely navigated several long trips, and has saved me headaches when traffic has been diverted because of accidents or road repairs. It would be nice if it announced the name of upcoming streets, but I find it like Phillips Milk Of Magnesia.. I never leave home without it. |

The unit itself is fine but dealing with the people at tomtom is a joke. It worked right out of the box but alot of the main roads in my area are not on it. I've been going back and forth with them for a month now, I'm getting ready to run the damn thing over and send half to tomtom and the other back to tiger direct . |

So I bought this over a month ago, 2 days later I plug it into the car charger and it fries the unit. I have to pay $12 to send it back to Tomtom in texas, and in 3 weeks they send me a replacement. Works fine for a week, plugged it into the car charger last night (had been using the car charger several times already) and boom its fried again. I'm so upset I just want to get it replaced from tomtom and sell this. So mad because I've owned other tomtom's and I LOVE them, I use the same car charger on other devices like my blackberry and I have NO issues at all. Really disappointed. |
