Well, what can I say. I hate TN panels for their horrible viewing angles, and poor backlight bleed, and the 2233rz is no exception. In my situation the viewing angles aren't a deal breaker, but the backlight bleed is horrendous on dark backgrounds. Having said all this, the 120Hz on this monitor overshadows all of the problems. It really is all that. Once you go 120Hz, you'll never go back. FPS games are so fluid it's unbelievable. Going back to 60Hz will forever be impossible to me. |

Gamers must have that screen! I wish I could have it at a greater resolution, but it is still worth the price, especially when purchased on sale.One thing that disapointed me a little is the position of the rear connectors. The DVI connector cable must be tighten with the fingers but it is very difficult to reach. And I don't think it would be possible to use a screwdriver to tighten it because of the position.Other than that, the 120hz mode is simply amazing in gaming. |

i bought this for nvidia 3d vision. i am comparing this monitor to a samsung t260 (25.5") that is 6 months old. the 3d monitor when compared side by side has better colors, better clarity. i ran side by side tests with the 26" running 1920x1200 and the 22" running 1680x1080. 3d effects on games are amazing and very clear. i thought 3d would degrade the video quality but it actually enhances it. i picked up for 240 and wouldnt pay much more for it just because of its size. |

Awesome product, 120hz is the key here. Now I just can't believe it was playing in 60hz for all this time, it's coming back to my old day when I was playing on a 17'' Philips CRT z 120+hz. But its smooth everyone, just moving the mouse on the desktop feels so smooth it's incredible. You have to see it, it's a must see and must have if you are hardcore gamer. If you are using a ATI video card you can have some problems. You'll only be able to use 120hz at native resolution z 1680x1050 which isn't the case on Nvidia cards. This monitor is for gamers only, if you want a monitor for graphics and need accurate range of colors this monitor isn't for you. Still another great product of Samsung. |

I've had this thing for just a week now. I WORSHIP IT.Here's why:1. Gaming is very smooth2. Fast-paced gaming (online shooters) are where this monitor shines the most, as it will put you one step ahead of the other players, quite literally3. You can add the nVidia 3D Vision glasses. I don't intend on doing that, but maybe I will. Either way, the monitor is fantastic.I went into a store for some other parts and saw a wall with a bunch of monitors all displaying the exact same demo. Maybe 25 monitors. Before getting close to the group of monitors I carefully noticed which ones had the best colors. The one I put first of the whole bunch turned out to be this very model.Very impressive. |

For FPS gaming this is a great monitor. Im using a hd 4850 x 120 hz and no issues.The price is high since its new technology and not as common. Do you need 120hz refresh, well if your eyes bother you looking at a monitor or hardcore fps gamer then sure.I am used to a MVA panel with better colors and viewing angles.I dinged 1 star for lack of a good base, which is pathetic given the price premium. And the other star, for not being 24", lack of ports, and tn panel.It is a niche product and hopefully we will see 120hz make it into VA and IPS panels soon.If I had the money I think I would have gotten the LP2475W.But kudos to samsung for 120hz, mumble muble wheres the HAS?? ARG |

This monitor is simply awesome! I got it on sale for 348$ and believe me, this is worth every penny. I was using a 32'' Toshiba 1080P HDTV has pc monitor and it was too big so I bought this one.Gaming feels much smoother with the 120Hz display and the contrast is so high that you can clearly see every colors.If you don't care about the high price, buy it. You don't believe me? Then read reviews from hardware websites.(I'll receive my 3d vision glasses next week so I might update this review.) |
I don't have this monitor yet but i have a simular 1080i 22" samsung at home. Does anyone know if i need anything else but the monitor when gaming in 3d on my xbox elite?thanks
