Been using this for awhile now and has been working perfectly so far. Can put two different sizes of the black ink tanks in this. The smaller tank that comes with the printer lasted a reasonable amount of time. Scanner software is easy to use. |

Got this printer on sale for 29.99. Should have bought it on boxing day but there wasn't anything else interested at the time. But this time I bought with some other things as well save on shipping $15.00 for the whole order. Same price or less to replace your current printer ink cartridge.Just needed a printer for occasional printing of documents. |

This is my 2nd of the same printer. Wish I got the first one for $18 like I did for this one during boxing day sale.This is a slower scanner and does not have fax, but is a nice to have printer for casual printing needs. |

For $28 on sale, who would buy replacement cartriges when you can get a whole new printer that already includes 2 full tanks? Great deal. Black text is good and color prints are average which is expected for the price you pay. Scanner is a nice feature. No complaints. |

Picked up one for $30. Installation was very painless - just had to plug into a USB port and Windows 7 installed the appropriate driver instantly - scan and print was fully functional. I was also able to share the printer over a workgroup network. Very convenient.In terms of Print quality, it's not bad for an Inkjet printer. Of course, the color simply cannot rival Color Laser printers or high-end Inkjets, but it's exactly what I expected. You will most likely have to tweak the color settings a bit before printing. Printing speed is on par with any other cheap inkjet printer - it takes 30 seconds to a minute for a full 8.5x11 picture.Scan quality is good - 600 DPI offers good detail. Scanning speed is good, for a 600 DPI scan it takes around 30 seconds. It's certainly an improvement from my old flatbed HP ScanJet 3300C which took a good 2 minutes or so.Overall it's an affordable product, but the ink is as expensive as the printer - NCIX has it listed for at $21 for a black ink cart. |

Overall this was a cheap basic printer to do what I needed. I find the image quality could be better, The images have this sorta "washed out" look to them. But the actual resolution of the images are outstanding looks like it was printed in a photo lab. |

I bought this printer since at the time it was cheaper than buying a printer cartridge for my old printer, and it was really worth it.Works out of the box on Windows 7 x64 and was easy to set up.Pictures print great and it doesn't require as much ink as other printers.Other than being a little loud, this printer was a great buy. |

Got this for my GF when it was on sale for $39, came with photo-paper to test out the capability of this printer and the quality is decent. It works very well for a university student to print notes for class and can scan things as well. Overall cheap & affordable and a great product. |

I got it when it was $39 dollars... I got it just for the heck of it since it was at a reasonable price... I'd prefer my smaller HP printer over this one, which I still some times use.. The HP one is way quieter and print start up time is way faster than this Canon... Overall it's a good buy for basic basic use and when not in a rush.. |

Only used it for a few days but so far very satisfied with both print and scan quality, although have not yet tried various other functions. Bought it on sale at $38 to replace a just-broken HP printer which cost almost 10 times as much 7 years ago and it prints even better and can even scan. The set up and user menu are very user friendly. The only uncertainly now is the cost of ink. |

I don't see anything different from other printers to be honest but it's a good deal for $40.The error number 5 is not particular to this printer but the class of the printer (I had a MP160 and it broke down after error 5) |

Cons: INK cartridges seem kind of rare for some reason. If you find any, get them quick because not a lot of stores carry them !

Not much to say about this printer. It does all of its functions well but not stellar. It seems to manage its ink levels very well so that's definitely a plus. The included software is extremely easy to use and lets you at all of the printers functions without being overwhelming. It is slow however, it can print pretty quickly but when you click the "print" button it takes a bit to actually print. If you're not in a hurry this shouldn't be a problem. It's also pretty loud for a modern printer but that's forgivable for the price. Overall, it does everything it needs to do and it does the satisfactory enough for the average user. Good thing it's cheap... (if you pricematch ;))! |
all in all its a great printer, i used to own an HP all in one 1210 which i loved, but after many long years of service it started giving me issues i bought this printer when it was on sale for 30bucks which is a great price and i would not recommend buying it unless it was on sale. comes with ink buying the cartridges is quite cheap, 23 for colour and 20 for black, or you can do what i always do and just get them refilled for 13 and 10 respectively. i print a lot of pages and the ink seems to last for many prints, the quality of the prints are impressive as well even when just printing a picture on plain paper.
