Cost, convenience. The construct good quality is Chinese, not Swiss. Manufacturing tolerances are also lenient. I had to use an Exacto knife on the edge of 1 of the cards to get it to fit. The card and adapter both function perfectly on my laptop or computer and telephone just as they need to. The only issue I discovered as a con for the cards were the fact that they don't fit effortlessly in my phone. It went in the 1st time and didn't extend back up, major me to forcing it up.
